      How about spraying silicone spray on new and clean hat to prevent stains? I do that with all my sneakers and it helps to get dirt to not stick. But I’m worried about the toxic smell and breathing it,

    Re-watching your video, I noticed that all four caps had a pretty big curvature in their brims. In the final pictures, it looks like the two in the ballcap buddies lost a little of their curvature while the two that didn't use the ballcap buddy did not. I know when I threw my official MLB cap in the washer, it lost everything. LOL But it does look like there is a little room in the bill portion of the ballcap buddy to allow for a little curvature, but not enough to allow for the wider curvature that they originally had.

    • @MowerMike
      @MowerMike  7 месяцев назад

      I suggest microwaving the hatbuddy to soften it and then bend your curve??! Or just buy new hats

    Glad it works for you. But keep on and your gonna end up with the brim tore from the water pressure. It only took me one time washing my favorite cap ($30) and the brim completely ripped on the front edge for me never to do it again in the dish washer again.

    Hint: Pre-treat your stains with Oxy-Clean spay and gently rub it in with a soft tooth brush. Let it sit 30-60 minutes and THEN run it in the dishwasher.

    Here's where you could improve: before putting in either washing machine you will get more stains and dirt out if you take a small brush (toothbrush works well but anything with bristles) and then basically just do spot treatment. What the hells spot treatment, you mean get my wife to do it? Well sure, that's optimal but if shes broken and a kick in the ass wont get her fixed then you just use a little detergent or dish soap and you go to town on the obvious spots which will be the stains that didn't come out in this video. if you wash it and see stains like he has.. its important to not let it dry if you want to try to spot clean it again, because drying "sets stains." If you're hat is polyester or not 100% wool then you can worry less about bleeding and shrinking. 100% wool, the old new eras that were far better IMO, those will tend to bleed on ya (use woolite or very mild detergent and cold water) and will certainly shrink but you can let it dry on something about the size of your head .. i typically use ... my head but some people may not be able to due to it often being too far up their a$$es.. I'm not to judge just here to share a little knowledge gained from experience. I've had great results in both the dishwasher and the washing machine but usually the dishwasher is going to use hot water which isn't always what you want. yea.. hope someone finds this helpful. cheers gents.
