I do Hat Buddy but after it dries I spray some clear starch on them to hold their form "STIFF". You have to spend the bucks on the good "Clear" starch though. Well worth it.
How about spraying silicone spray on new and clean hat to prevent stains? I do that with all my sneakers and it helps to get dirt to not stick. But I’m worried about the toxic smell and breathing it,
Re-watching your video, I noticed that all four caps had a pretty big curvature in their brims. In the final pictures, it looks like the two in the ballcap buddies lost a little of their curvature while the two that didn't use the ballcap buddy did not. I know when I threw my official MLB cap in the washer, it lost everything. LOL But it does look like there is a little room in the bill portion of the ballcap buddy to allow for a little curvature, but not enough to allow for the wider curvature that they originally had.
Glad it works for you. But keep on and your gonna end up with the brim tore from the water pressure. It only took me one time washing my favorite cap ($30) and the brim completely ripped on the front edge for me never to do it again in the dish washer again.
I like your Las Cazadores cap! I’ve won a couple of of their trophy jackets over the years. Thanks for the video - I was considering trying that Ball Cap Buddy to revive some of my favorite (and irreplaceable) ball caps. I appreciate the confirmation that they may work for me. 👊😉 Hint: Pre-treat your stains with Oxy-Clean spay and gently rub it in with a soft tooth brush. Let it sit 30-60 minutes and THEN run it in the dishwasher.
In the kitchen with MM. We are glad to have tuned in our friend. Its been awhile but we are here. This is definitely what we expected from ya. Hat buddy gets it done ✔️ 👏 Pretty cool episode. See ya soon. Gotta save those hats.
Here's where you could improve: before putting in either washing machine you will get more stains and dirt out if you take a small brush (toothbrush works well but anything with bristles) and then basically just do spot treatment. What the hells spot treatment, you mean get my wife to do it? Well sure, that's optimal but if shes broken and a kick in the ass wont get her fixed then you just use a little detergent or dish soap and you go to town on the obvious spots which will be the stains that didn't come out in this video. if you wash it and see stains like he has.. its important to not let it dry if you want to try to spot clean it again, because drying "sets stains." If you're hat is polyester or not 100% wool then you can worry less about bleeding and shrinking. 100% wool, the old new eras that were far better IMO, those will tend to bleed on ya (use woolite or very mild detergent and cold water) and will certainly shrink but you can let it dry on something about the size of your head .. i typically use ... my head but some people may not be able to due to it often being too far up their a$$es.. I'm not to judge just here to share a little knowledge gained from experience. I've had great results in both the dishwasher and the washing machine but usually the dishwasher is going to use hot water which isn't always what you want. yea.. hope someone finds this helpful. cheers gents.
Great test! The best one of youtube that shows all 4 options. Thanks for the upload.
Thanks for the comment! I never thought I would be washing hats on RUclips lol but got to go with what works.
@@MowerMike what if hat has gone flat how do you get the shape back
@@Viewer765 No idea, I would just buy a new hat.
You forgot to add the detergent sheet when you threw the hats in your washer.
Good eye!
I wonder how well the washing machine would do it detergent was used.
I washed them in a pillow case in the washer and put Dawn to get the oil stains and stain out.
@@jacknjill3000how that work out ?
Love the creativity !!!!!
Thanks, I try and have fun with these
Was it really 136F…?!
You are awesome mower mike
Haha, no you are awesome!
In the video, you did not add the detergent sheet to the washing machine-could be why they didn’t get clean…😉
Oh wow didn’t even notice that. Haha am sure some soap would have helped. Thanks for watching
Thanks! Cleaning my fav hat now
Get’r done Scuba
Says to use cold water in dishwasher. Does the hot water ruined them?
No idea try it with hot and let me know how it works out
Have you tried washing them upside down?
Damn no, that is a great idea

I suggest microwaving the hatbuddy to soften it and then bend your curve??! Or just buy new hats
@@MowerMike Thanks. I redid my original post with a second watching.

You must have a really good dishwasher!
Thats pretty cool. I am definitely try the dishwasher! Btw, how about the stinky sweating smell? Went away too by using the dishwasher? Thank you man!
Yep was all clean and fresh, good luck

Wow never thought anyone would recognize that cap, I can tell by your picture you are just slightly Texan haha.
Thanks for the pro tip!
Why you throw everything you touch???? Easy man! Why the roughness?
Haha ok taking a breath here
It's always going to be best to wash your hats and caps by hand.
Thanks for the advice
Heck yeah! Gonna get this now. Cold water or hot water?
It was a dishwasher so I say hot
@@MowerMike thanks for reaching back 😀

Good video and I will forgive you for being a Astros fan😁
Haha glad you enjoyed the video. Go STROS!
Spray some shout on it half hour before you wash it those stains will come out
Well dang good idea, Thanks!
Dawn spray on works really well too...
L'e'mon 🍋 not L'i'min like wtf dude. Painful
Burn the Astros hat but thanks for the video
Haha you must be either a Rangers or Yankees fan. Sorry we keep beating you.
I would never buy a washing machine without an agitator after everything I've heard. I like my clothes CLEAN lol
Thanks for clarifying that for us.
