I love the clove polyps. Have a full SPS 185 gallon total volume of water. They never bother anything in the tank or sting. In my opinion they make a beautiful covering of The Rock so no problems here.

FADETOBLACK some people just cant stand them it really bothers them i was hoping these urchins would knock it back so I didn’t have to when It starts to look messy when it clumps up. They don’t bother me that much really

I had a rock urchin that would eat them…. And also zoas. My copperband angel will eat them in slower moving parts of the tank, but ignores of them at the top of the tank.

It’s personal preference some love it some hate it
I like the look of coraline on my rocks and this stuff overgrows it so would avoid it given the choice.

@@raisingreef339 I understand what you mean I neither would go out of my way to put it into my tank. But if it appeared I don’t think I would freak out or anything so I’m perhaps like you don’t really want it but not really bothered about it👍🏻

I hate these things. Killing my zoas.

They can be a pain I found that fenbendazole will work but you need to research so you know the affects on some tanks inhabitants.

@@raisingreef339 I'm leaning towards just letting it grow. I've got a nem dominate tank now and only 1 zoa colony left so like you said, if you're at that desperation part of this then do the fenbendazole but I don't think it will get to that point with what I've got left for it to take over. I have killed some off by injecting boiling RO water on them but I've got so much rock space it would take forever.
