As a former musician especially, I have the highest respect and affection for Akira Yamaoka. His music is an absolute masterpiece through and through. It's perfect for meditation too, because of the breathing-like feel it has. Edit: In fact, I had an epiphany. That "breathing like feel" is legitimately like breathing exercises; it's pretty much literally meditative. I wonder if this was intentional.
I really like this. It reminds me when I was working nights at my old job. It was always foggy like this when I would get out and the area was dead silent. I would stare off into the distance and think about my life, the mistakes I've made, and where I hoped to be in the future. There was always an intense feeling of melancholy and loneliness after I got out of work. If those moments of my life had a soundtrack, this would be it.

First (ejem) downpour of the year in Costa Rica; me & my cat smelling the wet soil, a scale of grays over the forest and listening to this... It really made me cry
Thanks for this. When I hear this I'm taken back to a rainy October when I was taking online classes. I was recovering from surgery and trying to cram seven weeks worth of materials into about 3-4 weeks. This soundtrack helped put me a little more at ease to get through that.
I had a tab with this open for probably over a year before it got taken down. I honestly felt like I lost a part of my daily life. When I would make lunch or cook dinner I would play this. When I would clean house or do laundry again play this. I saw you say you were going to a new channel so I followed in hopes to one day come back to this town Silent Hill. I didn't know when or how but I had hoped to once again find this space this special place a town called Silent Hill. Thank you

This music isn't sad to me anymore, it's just calm and good. Once you accept the situation you're in, you're able to move forward without the need of loud motivation, but calm focus, and for me this does just that.
I'm a little skeptical but I think it has a good chance, if it was a remake already being worked on by a team of people passionate about the game that Konami licensed rather than Konami commissioning a random game company to make the game (I think that's what happened anyways). Silent Hill F looks way more interesting to me though, I think it has huge potential for body horror
