    This is perfect timing for me as Etsy suddlnly closed ALL 3 OF MY STORES the week of the 4thbof july. Years of hard work and dedication just gone! If you have an etsy shop, i advise to start another store of your own and dont put all your eggs in 1 basket. Also, while your etsy store is up and running, you can copy your items to anotner store. Once you no lomger have an etsy store, that is no longer an option. Thank you for the video

      Thank you 😊 You have to wait to get paid from Etsy even though you have to pay Printify up front. So Printify charges your card before they send the product to your customer but you won't get paid from Etsy until whenever your payment comes through from them. For me, that's every Monday. Hopefully that makes more sense.

    Excellent video. I think this is a great way to get started. Most people will have to do their own marketing, anyway. Etsy seems like a full time job in terms of returns, customer service, bookkeeping, ect. This is more streamlined and it's good to know it can always be tied to Etsy when I'm ready.

    • @passivelyeverafter

    Do personalized options still work the same in the Printify Pop-Up store as with Etsy? I have a lot of personalized items and have my Etsy shop set to "manual" for submitting the orders. That way I can switch out the item with the customized one before it's submitted.

    • @passivelyeverafter
      @passivelyeverafter  Год назад

      I'm not 100% sure. I don't do personalized orders but I believe you can change the time for the order to go through to 24 hours. So there's most likely an option to submit manually. You can go in and check it out. It doesn't cost anything to open a shop up.

    This video helped greatly in my understanding thank you. I do have a question. Do you know the percentage printify will take from each profit when using pop up store? All I find says they recommend using 40% margin for myself. However, starting out I don't think I can price my things so high or ppl will never return. If I charge $60 for some items, I'm still only making $11 and idk if Printify takes from that $11.

    • @passivelyeverafter
      @passivelyeverafter  8 месяцев назад +1

      It isn't a percentage. It's the cost that the print provider charges for the item which will be shown when you choose the product and in the pricing area.

  • @artbyvone
    @artbyvone Год назад +3

    The Printify Pop-up Store is a great option for me since I don't have a credit card to use to pay for orders! However, one of the main things I think is a con is that you cannot, at this time, have navigation where you can add categories! I think that without the ability to add categories, it makes your store look a bit chaotic and disorderly! A potential customer would literally have to go through your entire catalog to see what products you have! I think this may turn people off and they leave your store prematurely! Of course, if you're marketing/advertising one product, you just provide the link for the item; but if they want to see what else you have that they may want to buy, it's sorta annoying to have to go through each page! I personally that wouldn't do it. Lol

    • @passivelyeverafter
      @passivelyeverafter  Год назад +5

      I agree. I think we'll see this feature in the future. I would reach out to them with this feedback. I think the feedback we provide in this beginning stage will determine the features they add.

      @@passivelyeverafter I actually watched a Printify video a few days ago on their channel. I did comment about it. They plan on adding that feature and others like adding more ways to customize the look of your store. They're planning on some great things, but, of course, it will be rolled out little by little!

    • @passivelyeverafter

In FAR TOO MANY cases, people put out instructional videos that are more annoying than helpful ! They whip around, on screen, clicking on all kinds of buttons at a speed that is hard to follow. I don't know if they are trying to impress their viewers with how fast they are at navigating on the screen, or WHAT their malfunction is, but they are basically ' miserable ' to follow !! I live in the US, so let's say I open a Pop-up shop and promote it on various social media. A non-US person sees my social media and likes the products I promote - can a non-US customer purchase from my pop-up store? If yes, are the products coming from Printify local fulfillments in this customer's county/region? In another word, will the international orders placed outside of the US be automatically routed to the Printify local fulfillment facility where the customers are located as long as Printify partners are available in that country/region? Or it's not "automatically", but the international customers have the option to choose the "shipped from" country when checking out, so they can choose the one near them?

    • @passivelyeverafter
