Phil May, from hugely influential band The Pretty Things, was hired to sing for a supergroup album in 1976 in a band containing Twink (former Pretties drummer), Mickey Finn and Greg Ridley (Spooky Tooth, Humble Pie.) The group didn't last long and only resulted in one finished song. Phil May recruited his longtime songwriting partner Wally Waller to finish the album with some new recruits. Once finished the album was only released in the Netherlands. Contained here is the full album, however, the last 2 songs recorded for the album (Girl Like You, Shine On Baby) sound like disco, have a different drummer/guitarist than the earlier songs and seem somewhat out of place (feel free to argue with that), so they have been placed at the end as bonus tracks and could have made a very "1978" single. This brings the main re-sequenced album to a more LP-like 40 minutes, roughly 20 minutes of 4 songs on each side. For more on this album: forums.steveho...

Thank you for this, you have given me so much 'new' music to listen too. I thought I had collected all the Pretty's albums, thankfully you have proved me wrong

How wonderful is you received to post this group so unknown to fans in Russia. I've reposted it at VK for educational purposes. I love these two albums for long.

I used to have an album in the 70s and I remember the majority of these songs. I live in Canada and it may have been released as an Electric Banana album. Any thoughts?

I kind of doubt it was sold as an Electric Banana recording, but the same lineup went on to do Return of the Electric Banana, also released in 1978. The songs for that are interspersed in my fan-made Young Pretenders album.
