You're absolutely right, there's something about the headlight layout/shape that feels weird for an European vehicle. Nonetheless BMW's cars are absolutely amazing, I just think this one is lacking a bit of true German design.

Pre-2010 BMW designs were so good. I don’t get every automaker’s obsession with strong angular design, which I understand makes the car stand out more as opposing to a traditional curved design, but makes it look less appealing imo. Just lazy design work, and it’s not unique to just BMW.
230kph for an M car is a deal breaker for me. I understand that upwards of 230 the efficiency is horrendous but I'd prefer to leave the decision about that to the driver

How the mighty have fallen. When the G30 was released I was amazed on the improvements over the F10. Now it feels like its a downgrade. You guys have lost it so much that the new M2 was underwhelming. BMW will NEVER peak again.

Ugly as hell. The previous model next to this one is a work of art. The body of the new one is too big, swollen. The rear of the car is strange, as if too high and too short. It doesn't resemble a well-drawn BMW at all, with slick lines and a sporty flair. BMW has become a random car from Asia that nobody cares about.
Regretfully I have to decline this car as a M car ,knowing that that MotorSport division is about engine engineering and driving experience and not some electrical engine, and regarding aerodynamics this is when we talked about thermique engine and not electrical power engine. Full-on sports car with Petrol engine, in rare instances like X5M E70 and X6M E71 as well, where you put 555hp into a massive SAV. Not what M is about, but it had massive horsepower petrol engine, so ok. But now this? "Fully electric M this-and-that"? You're shooting yourself in the foot. As someone already said in the comments, i don't like where you're going. I think i too will be moving to Porsche in the future.

You won’t like the way the new m5 is going to drive. I drove an xm and the hybrid drivetrain was super sluggish and confused at what mode it wanted to be in. F90 m5 is the last great sedan from bmw. It’s why I have two of them and then recently got an m8 comp grancoupe because that is the last model with the s63tu4

@@BMWM I may consider the next gen M5, however I wasn’t impressed with that new Powertrain when I test drove the XM. But you will have many people like myself that just will not consider an electric car until around 2035. It’s why I bought the m5cs, m5 competition, and the 2023 m8 grancoupe. The last of their kind being full ICE vehicles. It’s a shame there isn’t an m550i for this upcoming generation

820nm is insane, for comparison the current BMW M4 comes with 650nm, the previous M5 had 750nm
it doesnt matter how much torque it has when its so heavy. it will still be slower than the M5 comp or M5 CS im sure of it

I have few Bmw F12 / F15 / E92 /E46 im a Real fan, but this New look is terrible.
