How to (replace, remove, disconnect, install, upgrade, clean, apply):
0:18 - upgrade RAM/memory
0:40 - replacement hard drive/ssd
0:50 - replacement wi-fi
1:04 - replacement optical drive
2:50 - replacement keyboard
6:30 - disconnect screen
8:00 - disconnect touchpad
9:19 - replacement motherboard
10:35 - replacement fan and heatsink
10:56 - clean CPU/GPU and heatsink
12:24 - applying thermal grease/paste

This laptop has been one of the most complicated to cleanout. It's a complete teardown just to get to the heatsink & fan. And uses several different screw types to make reassembly tricky.

Fan noise & cleaning: Got and upgraded a HP Compaq 610, works cute again, but the fan makes some some audible growl / snarl - since I got it. This is significantly louder than, and the low-frequency growl is different from other laptops, who just make a bright "wind" noise. ---> Is such fan sound normal for this model ? Or could some fan cleanup or replacement help to make it more quiet? Approaching the fan seems to require this full risky dismantling - or is there a simpler way for that? Why did they make this critical component max complicated to approach?
