Some advice needed please: a friend has given me her Compaq 615 for a general overhaul and reinstall of Windows.
However, there is an issue with the screen display, as it sometimes flickers and occasionally goes off for periods
of time. Gently shaking the laptop or giving light taps to the screen and/or main body sometimes brings it back,
but not always. Is this an indication that the screen is about to fail, or is it more likely a loose connection
somewhere? If the latter, pls give me a few tips on how to solve it. If the former, is exchanging the screen a
difficult job requiring any special tools? Thanks in advance.
