- In a 1999 interview to NDTV, Jayalalithaa or 'Amma' as revered by millions of her supporters, spoke of her dream to be able to quit politics one day and live at her farm, surrounded only with her books, music and her pets. One of the most powerful political leaders in the country, Jayalalithaa had wished for a day when she does not have to attend phone calls, meet people or give speeches, and live away from the madding world.

My heart broke when she said how happily she’d live after quitting politics. I’m a massive fan of her and for having done all she did, she deserved to enjoy her life like she wanted. Sometimes I think we’re selfish in wanting her to be in politics but she deserved more than anyone to enjoy her life how she wanted. RIP amma… I hope you’re in a happier place now.

I am really surprised why didn't even condemned her party cadres for pasting sticker during chennai flood on foods sponsered by ngo and individual. Also for opening water from small dams from tamilnadu, she always told as per my order, but sembarapakkam lake opening without any plan during chennai flood was put pwd department secretary. All forget supreme court verdict declaring she is accused.

In my childhood I heard a lot of negative stories about Jayalalithaa and felt little curiosity to know her later. But really I was mistaken. The energy level she had is extreme. The languages, the befitting replies, personality, her knowledge and charisma is above anybody. A good lady.
I do heard a lot negative content about her from my elders...
But after i grow up only i realize that she is such a bold lady...

Because she is a woman , politicians and the so called male chauvunists sling mud on her. When she is sitting aloof ,people named it as arrogance and the DMK people insulted her in the Assembly.She put up with everything with her cool nature but in the end she died under mysterious circumstances. Sooo sad.
i do not know if any politician ever can speak with such dignity , clarity and pious .. everytime i see her interacting she makes her words in a calm mood.. with no rage of emotions.. it just necessary for any human being in any situation.. that calmness and straight forwardness
