I really like my Snap Mount. I am very limited when it comes to using my hands. My hands are closed thanks to a spinal cord injury 12 years ago. I have a GoPro 5 that I use to film when I do an adaptive sport. I had to ask friends and family to deal with the thumb screws when I wanted to change to different mounts. With my Snap Mounts I can wedge the camera in my hand, twist and change to a different mount. (I sound like a commercial). Over the years I've learned how to adapt to be as independent as possible. I have my own RUclips channel showing the different adaptive sports I've done. My hands and wrists are weak. So the only negative is that the magnets add weight to my hand-held mount. All-in-all, I'd recommend them.
Thank you so much for your comment! It's so great that you are able to use these mounts to independently film yourself. I hope everyone that sees this post takes a look at your channel. You are very inspirational! Keep up the good work!
Bro I found your channel a week ago so I could learn about my new DJI Osmo 4 and every day I find another video that's helpful. So I bought the snap mount about a year ago but I've never really messed around with it but now that I got two Osmo Actions, the 1 and now the 4, I can use the first one as my back up camera for these cool shots. I have used my snap mount on the hood of my car while driving down the highway for a time lapse and it was very cool looking. Thx for all the great tips.
Quick tip for all my more higher intensity sport folk looking to use this mount. Flip the camera to where the camera is upside down on the front plate, take a elastic strap, wrap it around your chest, wrap it over the upper half of the mount, tighten it to desired amount, and ta daaaa you have a super secure chest mount. I learnt to do this since I’m a runner, very helpful trick.
Great video! I have 1 snap mount just for my tripod but seeing all the other adapters you use, and how convenient they are for quick camera changes I am going to check them out right.... Now!
Have you ever had an issue with the mount falling off when driving your car? I have been looking at other magnetic mounts for car driving clips, but this could be a cool option with its versatility. The other magnetic mounts are basically for car mount shots.
Sweet video Bro! Ordered the pro version here in Canada. Excited to try them out. PS I love Maui. Been there 4 times and every time I go I love it even more. I come from an Island off the coast of British Columbia so I do enjoy the Island vibe. Cheers 🤙🏼
Is the lanyard good enough for MTB? More than being worried about the camera sticking into place, I am more concerned on the stability of the shot as there are no straps stabilizing the mount as in a chest strap, and there is a fair bit of bounce and movement even in a XC ride when going downhill.
Great video!~ Hey what are the Best most User Friendly Go Pro Models and Accessories for Filing FAST action Pets - especially looking for suggestions on accessories to use for when you are the only one walking them and have to do hands- free filming. ~ much thanks
I just got the snap mount pro bundle a week or so ago but one thing I noticed was that the method of using the landyard doesn't seem to work like it did in the video. The weight of the camera caused it to lean forward. Is the thickness of the material on the hoodle possibly the reason why yours didn't do that?
Honestly, these computers/phones must be listening to us. I was discussing this type of product last night and voilà, this video shows up on my feed. I haven't searched for gopro stuff in quite awhile.
Do you use these with the insta360 or do you have something similar you would recommend? I just received my x3 and it's striking me how I don't have a quick amount for it like I do with my GoPro (non-magnetic I just have the old school ones)
I use them sometimes with the X3- it depends on what I'm filming. You can use it with the extension pole like I showed, but it can't handle as much movement due to the leverage of the pole. Insta360 makes a quick release mount that works pretty well. It's not as convenient as Snap Mounts, but it helps.
200 Wow😢😢😢 really who's going to pay😢 you will find way way cheaper than that on very similar. I stopped buying Go pros the accessories for go pros are so expensive like the media crazy prices
2 years using Snap Mounts. Great product. 100% confidence the camera will stay where I put it. Fast change from one mount to another.
I use the regular snap mount for my Volta, and the locking mount on my motorcycle helmet

First time I’ve ever bought anything with the “link in the description” 😂
Nice! Thanks so much!
That's absolutely very informative! Thanks a lot Jordan. God bless!
How do you make the like button flicker with colors when you mention liking the video?
Is the lanyard good enough for MTB? More than being worried about the camera sticking into place, I am more concerned on the stability of the shot as there are no straps stabilizing the mount as in a chest strap, and there is a fair bit of bounce and movement even in a XC ride when going downhill.
Love this mount thanks will get one

Does the pro version come with the car Mat?

❤❤❤ Thank you for your review .. help me a lot to make the right decision buyIng it :-)
Oh I didn’t know they made one for the media mod. I will definitely buy one for sure.
Thanks for the comment! Yes, it's kind of new. Glad I helped you discover it!
The screw on my snap mount is on the wrong side. Hard to attach on my media mod
Maybe they accidentally sent you the Media Mod Snap Mount?

Regarding skydiving do you think that the mountain that curves to the helmet is good enough or would you recommend something different?
Yes, a Curved Adhesive Mount is strong enough on a helmet, even for skydiving as long as you apply it securely.
Really good info
Thank you!
the first time I tried the snap mount on my F-150, I was reminded it doesn't work - oops, forgot the new trucks are aluminum. Oh well.
Yeah, unfortunately, it won't work on aluminum. There are still lots of great uses for it though!
what extension pole is that never seen one that thin?
It's the Insta360 carbon fiber extension.
Very good product but unfortunately it's not available in our country 😕😕😕
Do you use the snap mount in the beach?
Hi Carlos, Yes I do. You can use a locking adapter or put a Floaty on the GoPro is you are worried about it coming off.
@@JordanHetrick ok thanks
