Mask isn't just stab boost. It's basically straight 1.2x to all moves.

Saw this the second it came out! 1000% love your content Haydunn! Keep doing what you're doing man, one of the best Poketubers out there!
Torterra went from zero to hero in this dlc. I would recommend playing around with him. It now gets Shell Smash with loaded die it can absolutely murder with bullet seed and especially rock blast, which is strong enough to melt any of his weaknesses into nothing, even without shell smash. It even got Headlong Rush for a better alternative to Earthquake. Not to mention its already solid move pool.

God I remember playing my first Pokémon game ultra moon, kommo-o was for me the hardest gym challenge and once I got a kommo-o myself it’s a Pokémon that I’ve had ever since with me, dame nostalgia
Im thinking about joining the competitive scene of the game (I play Unite and play SV for shinies and story) but watching these types of videos I realize that competitive (or how its called) is much more complexed than what I've thought. Great content!

I saw it in game and didn’t realize - clangorous soul stat boost stacks with throat spray. Making a fun special attacking Kommo-o. And an unaware follow me clefable allows setup/
I think kommo-o getting vacuum wave is also pretty neat!!

I live in texas and one time it was a sunny 90F day while it was hailing with lightning, that doesnt sound so far fetched in comparison
Torterra got access to Shell Smash and Headlong Rush. I thought it would be the funniest thing to predict a Corviknight switch and hit it with Smack Down to absolutely destroy it with Headlong Rush or Earthquake the next turn
Caught a Fire-tera Kommo-O from a 6-star den with everything Best except SAtk (so basically perfect). Using Fire Punch right now, but thinking tera Steel with Iron Head would be good, and Kommo-O wants to be Steel anyways with its shiny scales.
QoTD: Qwilfish gets Flip Turn, so maybe switch into Ballon real quick?
Tera steel would be perfect for getting rid of th 4x fairy weakness.

I saw the title and was expecting this to be a Throat Spray Clangourous Soul Kommo-o (seriously, try this out if you haven't yet. +2 Sp Atk +1 everything else Kommo-o is terrifying), not a Loaded Dice Dragon Dance Scale Shot one! Kommo-o is eating good in gen 9!
Yeah, physical/special, Terra, abilities this guy has so many possibilities, makes him unpredictable ...
Yeah I can see either a physical set with maybe sd instead of clang and scale shot for physical dragon stab and speed boost, maybe dice for item and close combat and iron head or poison jab for coverage with tera steel.
For a special set obviously clang, and something like aura sphere boombust flamethrower with throat spray or sitrus berry and tera normal

What nature did you run kommo-o? Jolly or Adamant?
I think it probably needs to speedtie with the other base 85 mons, and outspeed the low base 80’s so I always run my jolly/max speed. But I typically use an offensive variant.

Always enjoy upload days. I think I should renew my online subscription to start battling with these new mons.
Also, somehow, please make Vikavolt fun to use in a future video 😆 It's my favorite, but it's speed hurts it. I've been thinking of electric tera with it's levitate ability.

How hard is it to get into competitive battling? I beat Scarlet and Violet but have never tried to play competitive
Look at a few team building videos, you can either follow the meta but I find it fun to pick a couple of pokemon I like and then build around their weaknesses in the same tier, then just practice and you'll learn what to expect more, if you keep running into a particular pokemon you have trouble with you can then experiment with your team to counter it, smogon is a good place to look for example sets too

I barely have played competitive since gen VII, but I really like Kommo-O. I think "Django" is a nice nickname for this Pokémon, as it's pronounced very similar to Jangmo-O.
