Best of Fridays is coming out on DVD August 6,2013. The collection is supposed to have 16 episodes for around $29. ----- It will be great to see more of Michael Richards. ----- :) Rusty
This was only fair… But boy did it show potential! Amazing how given the right catalyst (the genius of Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld, etc.) somebody who has really good potential can really (If everything is aligned right) take off! Too bad about what had happened in later years, but the guy really is one of the comedy greats!
Michael Richard’s was still in his development stages with his signature physical comedy, but to me it was still funny the guy had so much talent!!! A physical comedy genius the likes of Harpo, Keaton, Chaplin, etc. We have no more real physical comedians today. Sebastian Maniscalco can be physically funny with in the context of his stand up comedy. Perhaps he should explore that more on a pure basis in is acting. His physical humor is very good, but not the pure slapstick kind like Richard’s👏🏼🤪👏🏼🤪👏🏼🤪👏🏼
And this is why Fridays failed, totally unfunny skit, poorly written, no meaningful dialogue I am not sure where they hoped to get the audience laughs, from Michael Richards physicality? Every show became just a rehashing of the same skits ,Battle boy, Dick, the high pharmacist . They had Larry David so I cannot fathom how it is they could not come up with funny new situational comedy. Just awful

This show needed 90% less pot and cocaine in the writers room to come up with some actual comedy.

Like I say, outside of Seinfeld he wasn't funny.
Sucked big time that is.
Fridays had good musical guests, but the comedy skits sucked bid time.
So does SNL, it's incredibly difficult writing great scripts every week.
I'm sorry, but this Dick character he developed is NOT funny at all. Kramer was genius---was and still is his best work

Plenty of political skits because it was the election year and don’t forget the Moral Majority skit.
