- The wacky pharmacist (Mark Blankfield) has a video game installed in the lobby of his pharmacy. After the sketch, Andy Kaufman is supposed to introduce Pretenders. But, it didn't quite work out the way the script was written! (Should we be surprised?) LOL

Why this never got resurrected after Seinfeld became popular I will never understand. Fridays was so good ...especially Drugs R Us!!!!
Thank you for this channel! I have looked high and low for these old Fridays clips and it was awesome to watch them again. This was a great show that probably came out about 10 years too soon. Had it dropped around the time of "In Living Color" I truly believe it would have been a massive hit. I mention the show to people my age, and it is like we grew up in different timelines. Nobody seems to remember it for whatever reason. I personally love it.
I love this shit ... Had tickets .. stood in line for 4 hours & just 4 folk's got in ..
I used to stay home and watch Friday's. It was better than SNL
Yeah but to be fair SNL was really horrible during these years.
"Beauty is the cellophane wrapper on the candy bar of life."
I loved this show and never missed it
Totally historical episode with Andy at the end.
Andy Kaufman is a complete genius.
I love Mark B.💝♾
I recorded this particular sketch back in 1981, on one of my tape cassettes. Andy Kaufman was hosting this show, and the beginning before the pharmacist Andy was showing the audience his fiancee- a Jahovah Witness woman, I'm betting she told Andy to explain to the audience about the sketch , the video game one ,after many years its nice to see it again.
Used to watch it every Friday and cocaine Kaufman is one to talk about drugs...😆😂🤣
thanks for putting this up. :) amazing!
they only ended it because they new it would kill snl
Is this Larry David in the blue shirt fixing the game?
Yes that is Larry David who created Seinfeld getting the game started up and telling the pharmacist what the game is and give me his business card
I couldnt stop laughing when he said suppositories and said it in a funny way
im a pharmacist!!!! i can handle it!!!! man i love that guy! and griays great show geat bands very funny
I don't smoke and look at me...LOOK OUT!!!
I CAN HANDLE IT! I CAN HANDLE IT!
I can't believe that's Larry David. :D
And a saucy Michael Richards.
Did AK really die, or is AOC actually AK pranking us?
Aside from the rasta chef - richards in drag was the first time I laughed in any of these clips...lol
i love how the pretenders are laughing during kaufman's bit, it would've been even better if it was with die hard fans of the band
I think this character spawned "Jekyll & Hyde Together Again."
haha i love this show,, this seemed sorta like in living color
Not enough black people. This was Saturday Night Live if it were actually funny between 1980 and 1982 (see also: SCTV, the Canadian episodes).
OH THAT'S NIIIIIICE!! lolol
this is funny love it
A gd statement on self-help also haha
ROCK AND ROLL!!!!!!🤘🥴
I feel like this is genuine.
This was a very odd episode
I remember it well.
Act Crazy
i thought Larry David was just a writer.....
So weird!
I feel like that sometimes
Can you point me to the episode where the puppet does a line of cocaine?
yea. it's called cocaine!
this is me sometimes
my brother steven would laugh at this
Why did they keep dressing Michael Richards in drag on this show?
agree 100%. kaufman is in a different league to the rest of these people
Comedy is a perishable item.
Larry David!
Larry David in this skit -- don't y'all recognize him?
Red Al Eartt thought it was Steven Wright.
No, it's the then-mayor of Burlington, Vermont making a cameo for some reason.
Sketch wasn't so great, but Kaufman was classic...!
this is what actress like I'm taxi said the interviews alien-like Andy Kaufman when he s*** on the other actors you start doing his own thing on his own going off and this one is not even funny he's embarrassing himself making The Pretenders Stand There
That was the most genius thing I've ever seen! He made them close the fucking curtain again! Andy Kaufman was a fucking genius
