I appreciated the depth of research you put into this review (values of company and leaders, ingredients, etc) and was nodding along until 9:35. I would have enjoyed a longer, deeper review on the taste, texture, and after effects. You said it didn’t sit well in your stomach; does that mean tummy-ache or multiple episodes to the bathroom? Was there an ingredient in there that you do not normally eat that could have caused it?
The bars definitely didn’t make me feel satisfied. They were very similar to the old “Powerbars” that were popular in the 2000s. After eating one,it felt like a clump of heavy dough in my stomach. It took some time to digest. Does that help?
@@FitnessFinance4u Still pretty similar to what you said in the video. I wasn’t eating protein bars in the 2000s so the Powerbars reference doesn’t help me much. The heavy dough and digest time is somewhat helpful. I’m wondering if it’s bc it takes time for the system to get used to such dense protein or generally something not had in awhile. I felt like that when I 1st had Aloha bars (but I’m good with them now) and kombucha (still not ok). For context, I’m trying to figure out if this is worth giving my grandma as she needs a shelf-stable, easy open, no liquid way to get collagen and protein in her nursing home when we cannot be around. So sounds like if we do try it, it should be very slowly and gradually instead of a bar at a time. Thanks for responding!
Omg. Just bc the company name has honey in it it doesn’t mean it needs to have honey on the products! That’s quite a ridiculous claim. Also not finding the founders is also irrelevant- a lot of people simply want to keep their privacy and not be exposed all over the internet, the fact that people have such a difficulty understanding this and feel entitled to know is really disturbing.
I make my own oat bars and peanut butter balls. I make a big batch and then freeze them and when I’m on trail hiking by the time I’m ready for a snack they are ready to eat, so good and much healthier then what’s in the stores. Thanks for your videos.
thanks for taking the time with this review - very helpful. You saved me $42....thanks!
Glad I could help!
Builder's bar is a staple in our home too Curt! Very dense, compared to others I've tried!
👍🙌!!!

We agree to disagree? 😁
Also starts are too big to fit in a protein bar package 😂
