Hello Thomas! I found your channel a few days ago and enjoy your videos very much! Thank you! Question: I've watched some of the videos related to heat, ie. sauna, steam rooms etc.. Do you examined the practice of heat/cold types of therapy? Sauna/ice bath or shower..? I also noticed in one of your videos regarding Cryo-therapy. Interesting subject. I wonder if anyone has tried a combination of hyperbaric therapy in conjunction with cryo or heat/cold.

Thomas DeLauer love your videos! So helpful and I’ve learned so much about food and the ingredients in them. I appreciate you breaking things down and also doing these types of shopping videos to let us know what’s good and bad. You are truly amazing! One other note...what are your thoughts on the Atkins line of protein bars? Specifically the chocolate peanut butter pretzel bar? I tried the Kirkland protein bars and was not a fan. I haven’t tried the ratio bars or gomacro bars yet. I’m leary as they are both expensive and don’t want to waste more money on bars I’m not gonna eat. Also, I’m not on a keto diet, just trying to be more health conscious with my food choices. Thanks so much!

I will even put one in my air fryer oven for about 3 or 4 minutes on the middle rack at 3:50/3:40 and oh my gosh they taste like a warm cookie. A little crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Great with hot black coffee.

I’m someone who avoids any Candy or keto snack with maltitol as the sweetener. But in that bright yellow box, wasn’t maltitol the LAST ingredient? The ingredients are in order of how much is in it, so there’s probably more rat droppings in those bars than maltitol.
Plus idk if you were just being cheeky Thomas, but obviously the reason they put sugar and Splenda in bars is to manipulate the labeling to make the sugars listed seem less egregious. Plus any sweetener combined has a symbiotic relationship- it takes less of each to equal the same. That’s why in many cases we see in recipes , erythritol and stevia, or xylitol and allulose. Even in LC cooking it works. We see sometimes honey + sugar or maple syrup plus sugar.

thx Thomas. On the KIRKLAND bar , the tapioca starch can cause an insulin blood sugar spike. Type 2 Diabetic's, like myself, should test blood sugar levels before and after.

I bought some bars from Costco a few days ago and wanted to see if I had a decent one. I read all the ingredients and actually chose the Kirkland. Yay me.

I was scared to watch this video fearing you were going to bag on the Kirtland bars and phew you gave them a thumbs up. Because of my work schedule I normally eat breakfast at 4 or 5 am but don't get to eat lunch til noon so occasionally I eat one of these to hold me over. They are pretty tasty

Kirkland bars just changed their recipe. FlavCity says to avoid them now because of isomalto-oligosaccharide added to the ingredient list. What are your thoughts?

@Thomas DeLauer Thanks for the Protein bar Costco review. I'm glad the Kirkland brand made the cut, esp for the reasonable price/bar. However, I tried one that had been on special, one new to Costco, the "CanDo Keto Krisp", for which seems to have healthier ingredients and they are delicious. They are a bit expensive at the regular price of $18 for a box of 12 but as my first food intake of the day a few hours before dinner, they do satiate my appetite. It would be great if you give your thoughts on this product in the future or share your thoughts in the comment. Thanks again.

Hey Thomas, what’s your opinion on Munk Pack Keto bars? I ordered 1-6pk variety pack for $15 off amazon and the ingredients seem pretty clean to me. I think the price is kinda steep but they all tasted really good. Could eating these and other bars with substitute sweeteners trigger sugar cravings?

I was (still am?) addicted to Kirkman protein bars - low sugar and very filling compared to high-sugar bars. I'm not hungry immediately after eating them. They seemed pretty good for what they are (highly processed), and compared to other similar options. Don't want to overdo them, though, which I did for a while. Thanks for this video, I was pretty curious about some of the other options, and I love the ingredient breakdown.

Hi Thomas! I'm loving your channel and all your helpful video's...thank you! I was buying Kirkland's protein bars for a long time...the flavor is good and they would fill me between meals in a pinch when I didn't have time to make breakfast or lunch. The reason I stopped buying them is because the wrapper looks like it's lined with plastic/foil and it's always stuck to the entire bar so bad that I have peel it off! I became concerned that the bars are exposed to warmer temps in transit and the plastic/foil is sticking to the product and possibly leaching chemicals onto the bar. I know plastics are harmful to the body...I already have hypothyroid and estrogen dominance..... so I was worried that even in small amounts from the bars over time it could cause issues. What do you think? Should that be a concern enough not to buy them? Thanks : )
