Every time I see a video you post it makes me want to get back into sculpting. I haven’t sculpted in years because of burn out but I really need to get back into it.
Simply astonishing. Can't believe how much detail you added in 20 hours but it makes the final sculpture look breathtaking even without any lighting render. The skin and cloth textures looks unbelievable too
Wonderful work and explanations, very high quality, THANK YOU Follygon !!! 🙂 Can I ask you which are the Brushes that you use for the chunks of hair in the beard, the moustache and the eyebrows? The curve Brush and then the Brush you use to refine the chunks. How can I get these Brushes? Thank you !!
Wow this is amazing!! I have a little bit of background in 3D design but this is next level! Subscribed right away! Just curious as to how long this sculpt took you
Absolutely gorgeous piece, loooove the way you did the smoke! Currently saving for the appeal academy, been thinking about becoming a patron until then for the tutorials. Are the patreon tutorials full length with explanations? Just wanna know what to expect
If I may ask, what type of system and programs do you use? I have such horrid issues with my current system and the stylus setup you use looks like it would help me immensely as I'm used to sculpting clay sculptures by hand. Any help/info you can share I'd be so greatful. Btw that is freaking beautiful work dude! I watched the video like 4 times its just badass.
Hi I'm your new subs, great process man. I'm an illustrator. I want to take 3D course next year. Can you suggest me where to start? I mean, it's a whole new world for me. Thanks :)
That is a lot of vertex's i dont know why my computer struggles so harshly with video editing or these types of tasks it kind of puts me off and really slows down the workflow. Anyone can guide me to pc upgrades i could get? My current specs are: Cpu: AMD Ryzen 5 3500X 6-Core, 3 GHZ, 6 Core(s), 6 Logical Processor(s) 0.8 Volts Gpu: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti Ram: 16 GB ddr4 Hard drive and ssd
Honestly your pc is really above average. Except the cpu but even then you should be fine. In case you are on a laptop plug the charger in as you work (laptop gpu's don't work without the charger) and check for any background app/process/service/etc which can slow your pc. I would recommend a software (free I believe) called wise game booster. It will automatically check for background tasks that might be eating up your computers resources and you can choose to turn those off. Sorry for the bad english
lol I'm a skipper. It's because the thumbnail is blurred and I want to see what it is before I commit to watching the whole thing. (I will, this one is cool!)
do u suffer from blocking art? some nights i cant even sculpt a hand and some other days i do them in like few mins and done. I cant identify why thats happens.
My brand-new digital guidebook, How To Easily Draw Every Day, is now available!

It's crazy how details make the image so much better. You don't think about them until they aren't there. Amazing work. Keep it up!
This old guy looks awesome, thanks for sharing. Especially love his eyes
You spent half the video trying to make the sculpt believable and, sadly, it ended up unbelievable instead :P
You’re unbelievable!
It was cool seeing you make a character with more textured skin and surfaces, and that snakehook+alpha tip is perfect for a project I’m working on
Awesome character! Great explanation of how you're working and what you're thinking. One of my favorite characters yet!
Thanks Alan!
These 2D to 3D videos shows my appreciation for both 2D and 3D animation. They are equally amazing to me. Great job 👍
You’ve really inspired me to continue work on my game! I really struggle with art and these are always an inspiration! :)
Thanks!

Wonderful work and explanations, very high quality, THANK YOU Follygon !!! 🙂
Can I ask you which are the Brushes that you use for the chunks of hair in the beard, the moustache and the eyebrows?

Pretty sick sculpt. He looks like he's got more than a few hard miles on him.

He usually uses Blender or sometimes just in Zbrush

What logiciel you use?
Do you practice the sculpt before you start recording?
Hah hah hahhhh I wish I had time for that sort of thing
@@Follygon That's pretty cool then! How long does a sculpt like this take you in real time from start to finish?
@@mekky8230 they said in the video that this took about 20-25 hours to finish 😵which is amazingly fast imo
Where did you render it?
Hello good time
