- In mid 2018 I purchased a Hustler Raptor 42" to tackle my large hill. This mower does not mess around when it comes to hills. If you are interested in buying a mower I recommend this one.

The seat drain hole comes in handy when mowing really steep hillsides.
Bahahaha was not going to mention that .... especially the very first time heading down the hill.
I have just bought a Hustler raptor 42 and mowed my 1.5acres today, brilliant unit, and will mow my other 5acre property on the weekend
Awesome! I have way less yard than you but I am really happy with the mower. It takes the hill really well.
@@LandtoHouse my 2 places are quite flat, so this thing just eats it up, and they are fun to ride which helps lol
I've had my New 2021 42 inch raptor for about 2 weeks , loving it so far ,but I do notice some resistance on a hill or slope turning left as tyre spins ,it seems to be the case with a lot of the hustlers..
Nice review,thanks.
Some lime and mow at least every 7 days and that lawn will come to life.
Great video
Thank you for watching! I really hope to get the grass growing this next year. The hill has been a challenge. But looks way better than last year.
I’m here to see if anyone made fun of your grass... lol... but thanks for the review I have the same mower.
Ha! I am here to make fun of my own grass! This mower is great! Compared to a push mower...
I mow steep hills in the mountains of NC. I found the zero turn mowers with levers to be twitchy and scary on hills. I went with the Cub Cadet zero turn with s steering wheel. It has 52 inch welded deck and Kawasaki engine. I feel much safer with the zero turn with steering wheel. A side benefit is you can drive with one hand. I added tractor tread tires on the rear which helps a lot on the hills.
Adding better tires to the back does seem like a good idea. I think when I have to replace them I will be going with something with a little more traction. These NC mountain hills can be a real fright on a mower.
How wide is it from tire to tire in the back outside to outsode of the tire
Im going monday to look at buying one to start my buusness tired of putting money into a belly mower and my trailer is 48 in wide 4 ft is the bacj tires within that width
And also hows the striping on it ik that make a kit for it but does it do pretty stripes without it
The wheels without shute are 44.5". Should fit your trailer if you pull the shute up. My yard is so off that I can't really see the strips.
Cool deal thank god. The shutez coming off first thing
I'd change the oil before 100 hours if you want to keep it forever.
I anticipate changing it at the beginning of every season. I figure if I run it an hour and a half every week I would not come close to 100 hours in a season
I have a 52 and I hate it because it is so much slower than they advertise!
This 42 Zips around pretty quick. I think they advertise a 7 mile per hour cut. I would say it does that easily. With all of the hills I mow it's kind of hard to judge speed though.
@@LandtoHouse I had to add an extra spring on the governor to get it up to the 3600RPM. Now it run fine.
First like
Put it full throttle
