  • My review of the Karcher Window Vacuum was the first ever on this channel. Since then I've had lots of comments from people asking how you can avoid streaks and in this video I show you : )

    Many thanks. My Karcher had been gathering dust for several years after no longer being needed for condensation removal but your video prompted me to dig it out and try windows cleaning, (it still had some charge). I was amazed how easy it was to get wonderfully clean, streak free windows. The two microfibre cloth technique works a treat. (My vac ran out of juice half way thru and there was a frantic, but fruitful, search for the charger).

      Oh no! Have you checked and cleaned between your blades? One hair stuck in between can leave streaks. Just run your finger between them to check. And thanks for watching!!

    Thank you for this video. I am about to buy one of those cleaners. What model are you using? I've read some reviews about the new models, and people were a bit disappointed, saying that older models worked better.

    • @thehonestchannel
      @thehonestchannel  3 года назад +3

      Jolita Sestoke My model is an older version - well over 5 years now and still going. If I bought another I would go with the basic WV1 vac.

      Dogs window art I call that!! The Karcher is fantastic for inside car windows, gets rid of their artwork simply!

    One thing I find with my Karcher window vac is , that I HAVE to wipe up around the sides and base and top of the window frame, to lift up all the last bits of water etc , that's my only gripe with it .I can do 16 windows in 10 minutes .

    • @thehonestchannel
      @thehonestchannel  2 года назад

      Yes, there is a little wiping if you want to get it absolutely perfect but, like you, I still find it so quick.

  • @xxDrain

    The time tested method of just spraying the window down with window cleaner and then drying it/polishing with balled up newspapers seems quicker and simpler still :s
    I just can't seem to get the hang of this device, and it's hard to reach the bottom of my window because of how bulky the thing is. Is it even okay to turn it upside down?

    • @thehonestchannel
      @thehonestchannel  Год назад +1

      Newspapers do a great job but can be a bit messy. If you tip the Karcher upside down the water tips out of the container and the device shuts off. I find just moving it too to bottom in straight lines and then a quick wipe down does a great job on windows - but maybe not a match for newspapers!

    I notice you no longer use the cleaning head that comes with the Karcher?

    • @thehonestchannel
      @thehonestchannel  3 года назад +1

      The one attached to the spray? You could still use that and get a decent result as long as you wipe off the streaks in the downward direction with a cloth afterwards. I prefer to use soap and water now though : )
