What's YOUR favorite Muppet movie? Let us know below!
The muppets 2011
Muppets Take Manhattan since it's the first full muppets I've watched so far
The Muppet Movie
The Great Muppet Caper!
The Muppet Movie (1979)
Incredible how Jim Henson and his crew were able to bring puppets to life and give them believable living souls.
If only he went the hospital sooner, the doctors could’ve saved him from his illness 😢
I find it even more incredible that Jim managed to make three full length movies starring a bunch of puppets and filming it with no mistakes in the mouth movement.
Muppet Christmas Carol will always be my favourite.
My first introduction to legendary actor Michael Caine.
My first jumpscare (waldorf and statler's final "CHANGE!" caught me off guard!
Christmas just doesn't feel right if I don't see that movie SOMEWHERE!
Couldn't be happier seeing The Muppet Christmas Carol in the top 3! Our family watches that movie every year. A true classic retelling that shouldn't be forgotten!
*Statler:* There's one thing Muppet movies do better than the show.
*Waldorf:* What's that?
*Statler:* You can turn it off!!
*Both:* Do-hohohoho!
The Muppets were my childhood, and I hope to pass them on to future generations
Everyone always forgets A Muppet Family Christmas. I know it was a TV special but it watches like a movie, and it's got such a classic muppet feel to it. It's so funny and heart warming, and it's got great music. It'll always be my favourite. I wish it had more recognition
Yes! That one is great! It's so sweet and funny.
one of my favorites!! i watch it every christmas season. the icy patch gag still makes me laugh every time i watch it
@@natalie_sipes Ahaha yes! The icy patch! So funny
Absolute favorite muppet movie!
Watch out for the icy patch!
I watch The Muppet Christmas Carol every Christmas Eve night every year before I go to sleep - it has become my own special Christmas tradition :) I love the film so much :)
That's exactly me too! It's a great tradition to have!
I used to watch it with my Dad every year until I moved out, then I watched it alone...Now I watch it and remember my Dad (he passed away from Covid in April 2020) so the last 2 Christmases have involved me crying quite a lot at one of my favourite films.
Muppets Most Wanted is one of my favorites! After watching in the theater, I went out and bought the soundtrack. I felt it was better than the one just before it.
That was a more authentic Muppet movie. You are right.
My favourite Muppet movie is Muppets Most Wanted with Ricky Gervais
You know I didn't think Muppets from space was that bad.
Statler: "You're right it was all bad"
He and Waldorf: DO HO HO HO HO HO HO HO
I always loved “Muppet Treasure Island” because of Tim Curry’s excellent John Silver and because my mom loved the “Sailing For Adventure” song with “margaritas at the midnight buffet.”😉💝
The original Muppet movie, 2011 “The Muppets” and “The Muppet Christmas Carol” are also so amazingly memorable.😊❤️
I feel like great muppet caper should be higher. It's my favorite
I agree
Lol, I just got Piggy's line to Nicky. When I was a kid, I thought she said, "You can't even sing. Your voice was dumb." Watching this video, I realized she actually said, "You can't even sing. Your voice was dubbed!" Hahaha! It's funny because his singing voice was very clearly dubbed in that scene. Gotta love Muppet meta humor!
8: Never saw it.
7: Never saw it, but was glad to see Hornswoggle return to Muppet movies.
6: Yeah. Decent movie, but we already got a Muppets origin story that was nearly perfect.
5: Yeah. Good movie, but more Tim Curry's awesome singing voice, please!
4: Never saw it. Personally, if the Muppets wanna do a drama, why not address the real world pain the world felt in the 90's when Jim Henson and the Muppets' best human friend, John Denver, both died within a decade of each other by making a Muppet movie set in the 90's with the Muppets' reaction to it all? When they were put together, John Denver and Robin were really close. I would've loved to tear up at Robin's reaction to John Denver's passing.
3: Yes. In loving memory of Jim Henson, this was a perfect movie.
2: Never saw it.
1: The original and still the best.
I totally recommend number 8. I saw it in the theater when I was 6. I never saw Muppets treasure island yet though.
Even if I want to disagree with some of your film rankings, I’m proud to say that all Muppet movies are good movies. (In my opinion, because i think anything with the Muppets is a good, or a more watchable experience that I would watch regardless.)
Here’s my ranking of the Muppet movies:
1. The Muppet movie
2. The Muppets 2011
3. The Muppet Christmas Carol
4. Muppet Treasure Island
5. The Muppets Take Manhattan
6. The Great Muppet Caper
7. The Muppets Most Wanted
8. Muppets From Space
A friend of mine and I forever debated the best Muppet Movie
Great Muppet Caper - has a Bond Girl/Lady Olenna Tyrell
Muppet Treasure Island - Tim Curry as a singing pirate
It’s one of the longest running standoffs with a friend I’ve ever had lol
I swear the house at the end of Christmas Carol is basically a TARDIS, considering apparently half of London can fit inside its walls lol
The only muppet movies i recognized from this top were "Muppets from space" the 2011's Muppet movie and it's 2014's sequel . But anyways, Nice top Ms mojo, hope i see You soon for more videos like this, take care and god bless You
When Jim Henson died in 1990, his son kept the muppets going with Muppet Christmas Carol and Muppet Treasure Island. But they were never the same when From Space came out. At least it didn’t seem like it
My family watches the Muppets Christmas carol every year on Christmas Eve before bed. The movie used to make me cry all the time.
There's no such thing as a bad Muppet movie, even Muppets from Space has good qualities
I haven't seen all of them, but I so agree
I grew up on the Muppets. Love them ♥️⭐️ What’s sort of strange to me is that on “Muppet Babies” cartoon, Scooter has a twin Skeeter BUT she never existed on the actual Muppets.
Muppets Christmas Carol is a holiday staple for me! Sir Michael Caine gives a spectacular performance!
LOVE Muppets Treasure Island! SO fun! Tim Curry is extraordinary! Yes, one can certainly tell he was having fun with that role! Thanks for this fun list!
Why isn’t Muppets take Manhattan on Disney+ I always loved it and one of my favorites
It’s owned by Sony Pictures and so is Muppets From Space
@@jamesgeorgi6627 oh
That I didn’t know but could of sworn Muppets in space was on Disney+
I love watching Muppet movies. I love listening to Rainbow Connection.
As much as I hate to admit I LOVE Muppets Wizard of Oz because it’s one of the most accurate versions of the original Baum story.
Muppet Christmas Carol. I can’t not watch it at least once a year (usually more times actually) but it is an absolute December staple.
In Western Australia, Perth City often has a free outdoor screening in the week leading up to Christmas and the atmosphere is amazing… So many people sing along.
I do have soft spot for Muppet Treasure Island and have used the term “I’m way past scared, I’m somewhere between bed wetting and a near death experience” more than once :D
Finally! Muppets definitely go way back.
I only have one favorite: Muppet Christmas Carol
Muppet classic theater is epic!
Exactly. I wish they would release it on Blu-ray because I have the tape. I love having Gonzo being the main character. He’s my favorite muppet.
The Muppets 2011 is a masterpiece of a movie I just watched it this last Friday and every single time I watch it I enjoy the hell out of it. The music is as great. One of my favorite movies ever. Carol movie is another great film as well.
Indeed, my favorite moment was when they sang Rainbow Connection, it was truly something special.
@@LegoReader12345hello Yes it’s a wonderful moment but mine is Life’s A Happy Song and Man or a Muppet.
I ❤ everything Muppets
The Muppets is not just my favorite Muppet movie, but my favorite movie of all time! This was my introduction to the Muppets and I’m so glad I watched the movie when it came out here in the UK in early 2012 or else I would have never of found a Rainbow Connection to the Muppets 💚🤎💙❤️🧡
No, I must disagree. I thought "The Muppets" was awful. I never wanted to punt something across the room as much as I did Walter. The Muppet Christmas Carol is amazing on so many levels and doesn't deserve to be listed below it. To name a few reasons: great music and great jokes. Also, the incredible warmth and joy this film exudes. It's just so damn heartwarming. And on the other side of that, the movie isn't afraid to get dark, and I appreciate that. And of course, Michael Caine's top notch performance as Scrooge. I don't think anybody could play him better. Muppet Treasure Island should be higher up on the list too. For one, it had great jokes, and two, Tim Curry. Nuff Said.
The Muppets was awful, even Frank Oz spoke out against that film
Muppet Christmas Carol will always be number one to me. My family has watched it every year at Christmas ever since it came out.
@@brennicolas3093 talking about the 2011 film?
@@philyra2 Treasure Island was the 1 that I loved as a kid
The Muppets 2011 wasn't that bad. Calm down. It served it's purpose and got a new generation into the Muppets.
I love Muppets From Space
They should have called The Muppets (2011) Muppets Return
Muppets are so cool!
I love all muppet films, I love muppets
1. Muppets Xmas carol 💯
2. The muppets 2011
3. Muppets most wanted
4. The muppet movie 79
5. Muppets take Manhattan
6. Muppets treasure island
7. The great muppet caper
8. Muppets from space
My favourite Muppet movie is Muppets Most Wanted with Ricky Gervais
I actually find the songs from "The Great Muppet Caper" quite catchy.
Who ever voted on this really never watched these movies
The work of Jim Henson inspired my channel. 💗
Jim inspired all of us, especially for my channel too.🐸❤️💫
My most favorite films: The Muppets; The Muppet Christmas Carol; Muppets From Space. The only one I missed was The Muppets Take Manhattan. I wished they could do another theatrical film.
Look up WCOforever go to Movies and look for muppets take Manhattan. Don't deprive yourself of this amazing movie any longer. I have watched it at least 4 times.
I absolutely loved every single muppets movies
I know there are only eight of these films to talk about, but I need people to put more respect on “The Great Muppet Caper” and “Muppets Most Wanted!”
There isn’t a single miss in Muppets Most Wanted, every songs a banger
Okay, the music in Muppets Most Wanted is top tier. The one song I can think of that isn't that great is Miss Piggy's (and just maybe Working In a Mine Hole).
My favourite Muppet movie is Muppets Most Wanted with Ricky Gervais
How about a top 10 Cameos in Muppet Movies (be it their real name or in a character/background role)
One of my favorite truths of the universe is how Man or Muppet won the Best Original Song Oscar
My mom is obsessed with Muppet Christmas Carol!
Last year The Muppet Christmas Carol was the first Christmas movie I watched in the lead up to Christmas it’s such a good movie
Muppets Christmas Carol is legendary
This video of Ranking all 8 Muppet Films is truly awesome and fantastic as well! I love the every Muppet Films since I was born in the early 90's and watching those films on either videocassette or DVD's. My favorite Muppet Film was original The Muppets Take Manhattan because of terrific musical numbers here and there, but over past year...I really truly like the very first Muppet Movie more than Muppets Take Manhattan because of how nostalgic it was, from the music, the incredible story-telling, wonderful celebrity cameos and a very sweet tribute to Jim Henson's idol of Edgar Bergen.
Honestly Muppets most wanted has underrated music. A lot of catchy and funny songs.
My favourite Muppet movie is Muppets Most Wanted with Ricky Gervais
Brian Henson did a decent job of keeping the muppets going, but they would’ve been alot better if Jim was still alive
Tell me about it
I've seen all of these, except Muppets Treasure Island and The Great Muppet Caper. And, my favourite....is without a doubt Muppets Most Wanted!
My favourite Muppet movie is Muppets Most Wanted with Ricky Gervais
The muppets are some of the best characters ever to me! I need a new movie!! Cmon Disney!
I've seen all the movies, and grew up with many of them on VHS.
I re-watched ...Take Manhattan recently. I've seen many reactors consider it one of the worst Muppet movies, but it really does have some great lines/songs in it.
First movie really is an absolute classic, but I do think the 2011 and 2014 movies include a lot of the same spirit of that movie. Muppets Most Wanted should be given more credit.
Muppets Christmas Carol is my all time favorite!!!! Along with Emmett Otter's Jugband Christmas which was done with all muppets and no humans.
Too bad about Muppet Classic Theater not being on this list, my family and I really enjoyed that one a lot. We even wish there was a sequel to it. I also enjoyed A Muppet Family Christmas and Muppets Haunted Mansion.
The Great Muppet Caper and Muppets Take Manhattan are my hands down favorite. Christmas would be the same without Muppet Christmas Carol.
What about The Muppet Movie from 1979?
I think people did not like the fact that Muppets From Space answered the question on what Gonzo is because he’s often called a “whatever” in every Muppet project that came before the movie. It’s never been considered an issue for Gonzo.
Well the whole plot kind of gives it away… he’s some kind of alien because space was where he came from
@@nsasupporter7557 yeah he is
My favorite is "The Great Muppet Caper," as it has my favorite line in it: "You are all weirdos!" xD
No way Take Manhattan beats out Treasure Island. My top 3: 1- the original 2- Christmas Carol 3- treasure island ... these 3 were watched so many times in my childhood
My top 3 too!
What about the muppets with Ashanti that was my favorite
Reporter Kermit is from Sesame Street and The Great Muppet Caper.
I will say, I actually love Muppets Most Wanted. I preferred it to the previous one, because it had an original story, no need to restart the muppets, and Gervais
I totally agree, as I found Muppets Most Wanted to be such a fun movie. I'm actually very mixed on the Muppet movies, as while I find they have a strong cast of characters, some of the narratives feel very simple and standard, which isn't as much my thing. I do also really like Muppet Treasure Island though, and surprisingly, I really enjoy Muppets From Space as well. I also really got into the short lived series from 2015.
Muppets From Space reminds me of a dream that Sarah had in the past with her and her family (including me) going to an ice cream restaurant with Celebration playing in the background while a WordWorld promo plays on Sarah’s DVD player. We were on Virginia Beach in her dream
Muppets haunted mansion has quickly become my go to muppets movie (I even use the first 2 songs aka Rest In Peace and Life hereafter in my drag numbers from time to time) 🖤
Love this list Mrs.Mojo, my favorite Muppet movies are Muppets From Space mostly because I grew up watching it on DVD, Muppets Christmas Carol, Muppets Treasure Island and Muppets Most Wanted, in my opinion it wasn't that bad, but I LOOOOVE The Muppets in general especially since I've been watching moments from The Show on RUclips and I laugh or voice over each clip Everytime. As for the other ones? I either don't remember watching them or I haven't seen them yet but I plan too. Thank You Muppets for giving me the best and most funniest part of my childhood.
I like the Muppets 2011 version
I absolutely loved the rainbow connection song
My idea for top 5 new 5 minutes books
Muppet Christmas Carol is the best, possibly the best Christmas movie. In a perfect world Rizzo should have got an Oscar.
Innkeeper: A, credit card, B, cash, C, sneak out in the middle of the night.
Fozzie: We’ll take C.
Innkeeper: Very popular choice.
Muppet Treasure Island was by far the best! Still one of my favorites today!
Yep, it’s the 1 that I watched alot as a kid. It was funny…
Jim: “I hate my life”
Gonzo: “I hate your life too”
Rizzo: “if I had a life I’d hate it” 😂
Imagine an animated Pigs in Space movie.
I would have put the Jim era movies higher than the ones that came after.
Ahhh I love this sm, so glad you did a video on the muppets
The Muppets have their take on a lot. How about we get a Muppeteer take on some classics - To Kill A Mockingbird could be To Kill A Muppet Bird
I love all The Muppet Movies! 💚
If this list includes only the top ten muppet movies, then "Muppets most wanted" shouldn't even be on the list ‼️😠 The premise itself is ridiculous; that Kermit is kidnapped, replaced by a doppelganger, and the only one who notices is Animal? If I were Miss Piggy and Kermit, who I had been chasing for years, suddenly gave in, I would be VERY suspicious.
During the eighties (and as an adult) I would watch Sesame Street as a substitute for the Muppet Show. All that changed with Jim Henson's death; I believe that if he hadn't died when he did, Sesame Street would never have turned into the ELMO show. I believe that Elmo killed Sesame Street. I watched one recent episode of it, and I saw NOTHING that made it so wonderful at the beginning.
The 2011 Muppet movie is by far my favorite one of all of them
All Muppet movies are funny.
I think our differences are generational because, except for #1, we're drasticall8y different in what we liked. Muppets Take Manhattan was my 2nd favorite; Muppets in Space #3. After The Muppets at #4 I wasn't crazy about any of the rest, so I can't even rank them. I tried liking their version of Christmas Carol but there's so many other versions of it that are superior that I just can't do it.
8. Muppets from Space
7. The Great Muppet Caper
6. Muppets Most Wanted
5. The Muppets
4. The Muppet Movie
3. The Muppet Christmas Carol
2. The Muppets Take Manhattan
1. Muppet Treasure Island (Call it a guilty pleasure)
2011 movie deserved the first spot.
I do agree but the og movie is so good.
I only have watched 4 Muppet Movies, since I was a kid in the 80's and a teen in the 90's. So this is how I would rank them
#4 Muppet Caper, it was stupid even for a kid. No one would believe Kermit and Fozzy are twins. Crazy to think they would survive any of their crashes or sleeping upside down or going without food for days.
#3 Muppet Christmas Carol, I liked how this Scrooge was portrayed as a reasonable man, being that he only reluctantly gave his employees Christmas off all because he realized his business wouldn't be able to operate while other businesses were closed.
#2 The Muppet Movie (1979), I enjoyed seeing the road trip, especially the Fork in the Road joke. But I don't understand why Kermit would even enter a bar when he saw the owner get thrown out.
#1 The Muppets take Manhattan, surprise, surprise. I enjoyed this one the best because I saw it as my future when I would grow up and move to NYC, before I understood that city life wasn't all that great unless you are rich. I enjoyed seeing the different ways the Muppets parted and the jobs they got. The way the rats cooked in the kitchen. And the roles every Muppet played on Broadway.
3:23 are you saying that "Happiness Hotel" isn't memorable
I think muppets from space should be higher
So glad you didn't include Muppets Wizard of Oz in this as it was abysmal!
Muppets From Space was the first Muppets movie I seen. I don't get the hate it's a good film.
Muppets Christmas Carol is the best Muppets movie and Christmas Carol adaptation hands down. It has historically accurate clothing, even for the Muppets! It directly quotes lines from the book! It has amazing songs, hilarious moments and is utterly heartfelt. Also, got to remember that it was the first film to be produced after Jim Henson died. It's just THE BEST.
The best was after Jim died? I don't think so.
I would’ve ranked “Muppet Treasure Island” higher. It’s one of my favorites.
Personally, I'd switch Muppets Most Wanted and Muppets from Space, but that's just me. I watch The Muppets Christmas Carol every December, it's a holiday tradition and it introduced me to the classic story. Gosh darn it, I still love Muppet Treasure Island, I agree, it's an underrated gem. 2011's The Muppets was great, like you said perfect feel good movie
Hands down the most underrated franchise Disney owns
Sorry I’m late ⏰
Muppets most wanted will always be my favorite
I'm surprised that It's a Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie and The Muppets Wizard of Oz weren't mentioned at all...
The Muppet Christmas Carol and Muppet Treasure Island are my favourite Muppet films!
very very great fun list I like it a lot very great job mis mojo one of my absolute favorite list ever ❤
