I have never watched this show. Why would I sit and fake a reaction? I've been trained over years to analyse media so I can pick up on themes very quickly. Not to mention I'm a big lover of true crime and psychological thrillers so that factors a lot into how my brain works 😊

I love the introduction of the wildcard that Misa is. It's such an unexpected turn of events, and it shakes things up so well! Not that it would ever really be boring with just Light and L, they have great chemistry, but having such an unpredictable outlier brute forcing her way into their game is just so damn interesting, as Ryuk would say 😋 Can't wait for the next upload! I'm forcing myself not to just go watch it on my own because I'm enjoying these so much, but man it's hard haha. I hope you're having a great day and hanging onto your spoons! 😋🥰 ♡

That's a pretty dang good job on guessing what role Misa will play on the story. Hybristophilia is a real, observable phenomenon, and the way this show is gonna tackle it really is something else.
If L can tell the difference between the two Kiras, then Light doesn't need to be one of them to reach the same conclusion. Even you deduced that Light didn't commit those particular murders before you saw any alibis clearing him.
You're right. It's literally canon that he reduces his estimates to 1/10. It hides his true suspicions and puts his allies at ease and enemies off guard. If he says a single digit number like 3% he actually thinks it is 30%.
@daisyxcutter I just assumed that it was 7%, but Light was still his top suspect. They don't even know how Kira can kill or what else he can do. There are a lot of people in the world and any of his deductions narrowing down the suspect list could be wrong. Kira might have intentionally tried to throw the investigation off. A 7% chance isn't negligible when the consequences are death.

Here he wanted to give the task force the true number because it shows confidence in a bad situation that has everyone stressful and afraid. They needed something solid and strong to latch onto, so he gives them a bold confident estimate without any tricks

I like how your analysis shows an inherent respect for the author and the integrity of the story. You assume the story is well written, and in doing so you arrive at the correct conclusions through thoughtful analysis. I can immediately see a contrast between this perspective and the more pedestrian approach of assuming that something the reader doesn't immediately grasp is because the writer either failed to articulate it properly or the writing was inconsistent. This strikes me as the result of training and experience, and I feel a little more enlightened for making this observation. Basically, I feel this short video gave me insight into real professional literary analysis and was not expecting that, so I'm gonna sub for more.

This is one of my top favorite anime series that I recommend, choosing it for a reaction shows you have an excellent taste in anime, it's a classic among the community and I have seen it more than once.

Do English dubs remove background music or am I having a Mandela Effect type of experience right now? I currently don't have access to the original Japanese anime so I can't check lol
Hi lovely - I can confirm that the music is there but due to copyright on YT I have to lower it significantly down in the background when editing so it's there but just VERY QUIET on my videos. It's the only way I can get around not being flagged!
1 small tip if you don't mind. If you have the time and if I was in your place, I'd add some Royalty free music in the background while you are giving your thoughts. It would be more dynamic and add to the content. I bet you thought about it, so I guess this comment is obsolete. :'D

I disagree. This is the point (along with another point later in the story) where Death Note takes a nose dive. Misa is a terrible character.
