    Very interesting. I have to admit this is the first time that I see Sanwa components after 30 years I'm in the RC hobby.😯

      Hi bro. Yeah, both Sanwa and Futaba are getting rarer and rarer. I think some racers still use their equipment. But it’s also funny to see that Tamiya is still writing ‘Sanwa’ ‘Acoms’ ‘Tamiya’ ‘Futaba’ in their servo saver components (to distinguish between 23T and 25T). he he, I wonder what percentage of people building Tamiya kits nowadays are actually using those brands? Maybe the time has come for Tamiya to just write the actual number of teeth 🙃 😅

    Oh, man, that is great! I think now you eliminated all the slop in the steering, it should be really precise now! I only did about half of the upgrades on the steering on mine, and it is already a lot better!
    I think I have to go back and watch your video for the dog bone upgrade. I had mine out for the speedruns and I ended up busting one of the front ones, already received CVD's to replace them with, I think it'll be good!
    I think the summer is over here in Finland, I think my TT-02B upgrade series has to continue next year, ha ha!
    Hope all is well there in DK, looking forward to seeing some country side video from you again sometime.

      Hi Mads! Yeah, steering is much better and much less slop. Still some play in the wheel uprights etc. Ahh, yeah, the universal axles are great, but it requires that one keeps the low ground clearance so the angle is not too awkward for the axles. Nice you got them too! Summer is almost over here too. Last few days has been rain rain and rain 🌧 🙂

    Its a great hop up part. A must have i must say. Just fixed in on my tr02 sr kit. Secures the servo tightly to the chassis compared to the mount from the kit. Plus using it wih servo saver and aluminium cap makes better!

    Your TT02 is a lucky Tamiya! So many cool upgrades, strong and pretty! I'm loving what you are doing to this little buggy. The steering looks so much better (and smoother) after the additions, I hope it all pays dividends when it comes to the first run! Looking forward to see the next installment, mate! :O)

      Hi Mark! Thank you! She's a pretty little girl now. Total overkill for a TT-02B, but I am having fun :-) That's what counts. Steering is better now, but I doubt I will actually feel it very much when running it. Thanks a lot for watching, my good mate.

    Nice steering upgrade Mikael 👍 I've been upgrading and blinging out my VRX Sword XXX as well just waiting on a few more parts to arrive. Just ordered the steering upgrade and Carbon Fiber Shock towers and Carbon chassis brace for it. Hope you and the family had a great summer bro 😊

    Hiya Mikael. More lovely blue bling for your TT-02! That servo mount looks great but not good for different sizes. Looks like yours nearly didn't fit. I've had some of those Tamiya Hi Torque servo savers and they are really good. Not had the one with the alu arm. That would be perfect for a basher where the plastic might break. Anyway great vid mate. Happy Sunday to you :-)

    • @NordicRC
      @NordicRC  3 года назад +1

      Hi Pete! Yeah, bling bling. I agree with the servo mount. It’s great … but there might be trouble for servo wires, especially Low-profile ones like this one. Hope the wire will be good in the Long run, bend like that. But I really like the idea. With the aid of thread lock too, there will be no chance for it to wiggle around or getting lose (except for serious crashes). And yeah, got some of those high torque ones as well. Always a bit hesitant - as they more or less feel as firm as a servo horn and I’m too afraid to test it, applying too much pressure. So I have to trust Tamiya on this one 🙃 Let’s see what happens. Hope my expensive Sanwa servo survives. Thanks a lot for watching, my good mate. Hope you’re having a great Sunday.

    • @PeteWylieRC
      @PeteWylieRC 3 года назад +1

      @@NordicRC Oh yeah I do only use those Hi Torque servo savers with high torque servos like the metal gear 25kg ones. Might be a problem with lower kg ones? Defo wouldn't use one with a plastic gear servo!

    • @NordicRC
      @NordicRC  3 года назад +1

      @@PeteWylieRC Yeah, that's what I am thinking. This one is only around 9 kg. But then again, it won't see any serious bashing off road sessions. So I hope it will survive :-)

    That's the poshest servo mount I have seen from Tamiya. Using the low line servo did pinch the cable a little, I would be tempted to grin a little away so it does not do that.

    • @NordicRC
      @NordicRC  3 года назад

      Hi Mal! Ha ha, you are right, real posh 😅 And yeah, not too fond of that cable sitting like that for too long. But not too sure if I will change the servo later though, for some more torque combined with that high torque servo saver, and that will solve the wire problem too, so no grinding (yet). ☺️ Thanks a lot for watching, my good friend.

    The steering looks nice and responsive with the upgrades. It's a shame they only come in the blue colour.

    • @NordicRC
      @NordicRC  3 года назад +1

      Hi Derek! Yeah, could be nice with the option of black or grey/silver. Tamiya don’t do them in anything else than the anodized blue, although GPM Racing and others got their whole line of TT-02B upgrades in different colors.

      GPM Racing and others make a lot of color variations: Silver, black, green, red etc etc. But yeah, with Tamiya you're mostly limited to blue.

    I ditched my servo saver when i was having steering issue. No mater what adjustments I make the car wouldn’t go straight. I replace it with a regular 25t metal servo and everything went fine. What a waste of £18.

    • @NordicRC
      @NordicRC  2 года назад

      Huh sounds strange. This one goes straight, like on rails, with the servo saver.

    • @tjcben1
      @tjcben1 Год назад

      Same issue here. I installed it the same way as the video described but there is a discernable play that affects precision-won't go straight.
