When Floor asked Henk to do this duet, Henk put the condition on it that he'd be allowed to perform it live with Nightwish when they play the Amsterdam Ziggo Dome on 24th Nov 2020. Henk was the original Phantom in the Dutch version in the 90s.

When I heard that the shows in Holland sold out in a day, I thought "get them straight away", even if the gig is over a year away and a lot could happen in that time!

Just before Floor and Henk were about to sing it started to rain, an enormous dowpour, and the tent they were in started leaking on various places. If you look closely you can see the drops in the water and behind Henk. The organisation wanted to stop filming because they were afraid the tent would collapse. Floor and Henk decided to go on and that was the best decision ever!!!

The other singers knew who she was by this episode in the series, which was the final ep and were simply stunned by the performance, but before the series no they didnt know who she was (except for Tim in the Ramones tshirt, and Henk)...the whole thing about Floor being on the show was that she is known around the world in the metal scene, but in the Netherlands (her home country, and the home of some of the biggest symphonic metal bands in the world) she wasnt well known at all. They certainly know who she is now! One of the lovely things was a) watching them all become friends over the episodes, and b) watching Floor get the attention and recognition she deserves from being on the show :)

You have to see the other songs she did on this show she opened it with a German aria, then a Dutch folk song, onto a Spanish salsa song and then an English blues/C&W tune, she was just an emotional thunderbolt on this show and stunned everyone each and every time. This was the final show and they all knew and had high expectations but as you can see they were even stunned by this dynamic duet. Henk gets to do this with Nightwish next November when they are in Amsterdam for their show(s). That was a d6 for 8 seconds. It's very, very impressive. The original Broadway show i believe is an e6, which can be vocal cord damaging if not performed correctly. She went with the d6 because it's the note shes comfortable with and can hold it for the full 8 seconds. I don't think an e6 is a note she can't hit, but she knows her limits. Now, I believe in the nightwish version with tarja, she does an e6, but only for 3-4 seconds. Could be wrong on the last part.

Duh! That's like saying "Messi is an amazing athlete but I truly believe LeBron James is a better basketball player"... Floor Jansen IS NOT AN OPERA SINGER. That's the whole fucking point of why this performance is so awesome. She's not classically trained (she only did classical music for one year, that's nothing, a real classic/opera singer needs YEARS of training and performing), while Tarja Turunen has been singing with an operatic style her whole life. And yet, Floor is so talented and has such an incredible technique and powerful voice she can do songs like this one and blow everybody's mind.
