You’ve GOT to try Wasted Time by SkidRow . Sebastian’s voice is insane , the power and emotion is heart wrenching . The song was written about the drummer from Guns n Roses Steven Adler.
If you listen to Skid Row, don't miss this. It's the best take that surpasses the legends Jimi and SRV - 「 Skid Row Little Wing (Official Music Video) 」
Maybe try Forever by KISS. Great metal ballad, very different sound for them, and Paul Stanley’s voice in the 90’s was strong. He has great range. Even performed in The Phantom of The Opera.
Wasted Time takes his vocals to the limit.. unbelievable. That one is my favorite. You hear the strength of his voice in that one.. His name is Sebastian Bach and the group is skid row
Class of '88. I think we oversell how great the weird one- and two-offs of the 80s were, but at least there was space for those acts to make a go of it and it was available on radio. With all the liberation that streaming and various technologies promised, how diverse is the selection being pushed now, and how sh*tty are the songs in that selection? That said, I think we sell the 90s short. I think we're coming around more on at least the first half or 2/3 of the 90s now. Kind of grunge, pop-punk and a little of what came after. But not Green Day. NEVER Green Day.
The older you are, the more you want go back to the past.. Especially to experience the music our parents used to listen in their heyday.. It goes for me, and seems like it goes for you as well😁👍🏻
Millie the singer Sebastian Bach had opera training when he was young. He knows how to take care of his voice and is still a good singer. And you're right about 1 thing , they don't write songs like this anymore. The 80's had alot of cheesy music but there was also alot of great stuff as well. The singers could sing , guitarist killed it & the bands knew how to put on a great show.
Today's music falls down on writing ability for sure, and yes, the utter lack of guitar (let alone guitar virtuosos) leaves me walking away from current musicians.
My personal fave Skid Row tune is “18 and Life” which also tells a story, albeit a darker one. But it’s got more great guitar licks and also more high, distorted power-singing by Sebastian Bach. I’ve always liked this band- never did the makeup and big hair, just rocked.
Sebastian Bach had one of the best voices ever. His breath control is amazing. I could never understand why Skid Row didn't become bigger than they were. I saw them open for GnR and they blew GnR away. They had everything they needed.
Takes me back to high school. So many good metal bands and so much great music. Skid Row is up there with the best of them. Listened to them over and over until I wore out the cassette
One of the best metal ballads ever IMO. For those who weren't around back then, this song was HUGE. Skid Row was already popular but I Remember You stayed at #1 on the charts for a long time.
One of the Best voices in the '80. Sebastiian and the Skid Row are absolutely Amazing! You need watch now, 18 and life. See you at the next, Megitsune 🤟🏻🦊🇯🇵🔥🔥🔥
Well done. Thank you for letting the song play, and recognizing the need to allow the flow of the song to continue from segment to segment (especially the harmony between the vocals and guitar before/after guitar solos). Your commentary afterwards was spot on. Glad ya found a new-old-stock influence.
You nailed it, "they don't make music like this anymore". It is so right but so sad, they made real music for quite a few decades then most of it just went away. Cool reaction young lady.
Not only do u respect the music by the fact of using proper headphones, you also have great respect for the artistry that is a guitar solo :) BIG LIKE!
Steelheart - 'She's Gone' or 'I'll Never let you go' is something you should check out. Falls in the same category as this tune. His voice is out of this world! :D I also love skid row!
I hadn’t listened to this for quite awhile but it just gave me goosebumps again too. Always does. Especially when I see someone new experience it the first time
Sebastian put the hair in hair metal. That voice, those locks, those 👀 eyes, that face 😍😘. Glad you liked the music of my 20’s. ALL 80’s music was great, as well as the Rock 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘from the 60’s, 70’s and 90’s (not rap 😳😵💫🥶😱💀😅)!
definitely one of the best voices in rock of the era, maybe transcending the era as well. "Wasted time" "18 and life" "Midnight" "quicksand Jesus" and "Here I am" will display the potential of Bach's voice giving you most material in fewest songs.
This lineup was so good, and it's so sad that they couldn't get along and stay together. Slave to the Grind is a landmark album that should have launched them to further success, but personality conflicts are a tough thing to work through, it seems.
I’ve heard a younger person say recently that the 80’s put out music that is timeless and that isn’t the case in modern day. I’m biased as an old guy that came of age in the 80’s, but I thought that was really cool to hear because I agree, of course 😎
This song is my childhood! Jan 19th 1990, I was 9. The spectrum in Philadelphia Pennsylvania! My parents friends had an extra ticket and asked if they could take me. I have been a big metal and rock fan since birth. They opened for Aerosmith. I was never the same. Sebastian voice live is unmatched! I left with no voice and I will never forget that show. I can still picture it in my mind. Aerosmith were crazy good. The show was one of my all times.
Thank you Millie for having verbiage up in the right hand corner of the screen to tell us the story of the band and this song in particular! Gotta buy you a coffee ☕️ now! I’ll make it a Mocha❤️
Love that I was watching you react to this, even tho I'm not with you still special to share a first time hearing a killer song like this, especially this one
Damn. She gets it. Love it when that happens, we all felt that way back then. The messed up part is that we got that all the time, daily, such a better time period.
18 and Life is one of the most popular from that time along with Youth Gone WIld... I know because I lived it graduating HS in 1988. What a great time to be coming of age when we had music like this.
Gex X here. I was in middle school for this. Skid Row was one of the many building blocks that made us gen x'ers rough around the edges. Keep rocking kid. I ve got a good one for you. Judas priest, victim of change from the unleashed in the East album. I promise, it will not disappoint.🎤👍
Thank you for reacting this great music back in the day, specially this band, check another Skid Row Powerballads and Heavy Songs like Quicksand Jesus, Wasted Time, In the Darker Room, Monkey Business, 18 and Life, Peace of Me, Youth Gone Wild, Slave to the Grind. I'm sure you're gonna love this band's music more!!
Sebastian Bach equals 🟰 VIBRATO! Sebastian Bach’s voice is awesome! A great singer! My daughter said: Daddy why is his lower lip quivering? I said honey that’s called: Vibrato and all the great singers have it! I live in Santa Monica California (LA County) Skid Row is a heartbreaking 💔 place and what makes it worse is a mile down the road are mansions! If you listen to Poison do a song called Give Me Something To Believe In Brett Michaels points out this very fact! I’m encouraged by seeing some celebrities feeding the homeless there! I remember working Thanksgiving and Christmas there shoulder to shoulder with some of the cast of Days of Our Lives! I worked beside Deidre Hall (Dr. Marlena Evans) and her twin sister Andrea Hall (Hattie Adams, Samantha Evans). God Bless the people who make their mark helping people on Skid Row!
I've always loved this song since I heard it when it first came out. I always said these lyrics are one of the most beautiful love letters you can write to someone.
That vocal run by Sebastian Bach at the end is epic. The guy had some great pipes, enough sing live on stage on Broadway. Now, go check out the late great Lane Staley and "Love, Hate, Love" live at The Moore. Same epic vocals.
It's sad when a young person hears a great band from the 80's/90's and is blown away by them. Sad that music like this ended and the younger generation grew up without great music.
I was in high school when this song came out and reacted the same way driving in my car when it would play on the radio. Our young people will come to learn the 90’s we’re the best music ever!!
Sebastian Bach (lead vocalist) STANDS 6 FOOT 6 inches, and is a power house in a category all to himself. Monster BOOMING voice. Late 80's early 90's Baby. Great reaction.
Btw Sebastian Bach also played Jeckyl and Hyde on Broadway. I saw him in that show and he was phenomenal! I will always be a huge fan of his. Hes super tall too.
Thank you for reacting to these guys. Skid Row completely reminds me of my (early) teenage years-I was absolutely in LOVE with Sebastian Bach-SWOON-he was not only the most gorgeous man I'd ever seen but also had an absolutely epic voice. 😍 However, I was teased mercilessly about him being too effeminate though-with my brother and cousin once even defacing one of my posters by drawing 'boobies' on him-talk about being properly pissed off! 🤬 When I think back on those times now, I can't help but laugh. 😂

Wasted time or in a darkened room
Wasted Time takes his vocals to the limit.. unbelievable. That one is my favorite. You hear the strength of his voice in that one.. His name is Sebastian Bach and the group is skid row
In a darkened room might be right on the same level
Agreed. The whole slave to the grind album was pound for pound their best album.
I think Quicksand Jesus.
I'd like to throw in "Wasted Time"-- that came right from his soul, as did "In a Darkened Room".
Yes! And quicksand Jesus
Wasted time, quicksand Jesus, darkened room, 18 and life. Must listen to songs from Skid Row. Great 80s band for sure. Cheers!
"Darkened Room" is so great, straight FIRE!
It's called "In A darkened room"
Exactly
No, they don't make music like this anymore! This is talent!
All these pretty boy singers. Love em AND ZERO were trans.
@@michaelsilvernail8684Hell, they didn't make any music like this by 1996, the last time Bach was with the band!
The 80's were AWESOME!
Sebastian Bach was classically trained! OMG! His voice is EPIC and so haunting!
80s were the greatest decade of music as far as I am concerned. Too many great bands to even begin to count.
Everything was good

He definitely had training. His vibrato, how long he could hold the notes, and his power. Great stuff!
The older you are, the more you want go back to the past..

It goes for me, and seems like it goes for you as well😁👍🏻

Seb is nothing but a shadow of his former self. Would be very generous to call him good today.
@@ImDembe , age will catch us all...
He also studied acting, that's why he communicates with his voice, his gestures and his arms, he knows body expression
Today's music falls down on writing ability for sure, and yes, the utter lack of guitar (let alone guitar virtuosos) leaves me walking away from current musicians.
@@ImDembe Dude, you can't stay in your prime forever we all age. Despite how he is now the guy killed it back in the day so many great songs.

18 and life skid row is another great song.
If an AI designed an 80s front man, it would be Sebastian Bach. The look, the attitude, the hair, the voice… all slay.
And yet, he's real. Musical genius
The 80's music plus MTV it was a Epic time in music history.
Sebastian Bach had one of the best voices ever. His breath control is amazing. I could never understand why Skid Row didn't become bigger than they were. I saw them open for GnR and they blew GnR away. They had everything they needed.
One of the best male vocalist of all time imo he has such a extensive range.
Takes me back to high school. So many good metal bands and so much great music. Skid Row is up there with the best of them. Listened to them over and over until I wore out the cassette
Yes sir those were the days ❤

THIS WAS MY ERA! WHEN I HEAR THIS, I'M TAKEN BACK TO THIS ERA! IT RULES!!!!!!
She said, they don't make music like this anymore, she is spot on correct.
Such a powerful voice. One of the best rock singers of all time. Wait till you hear wasted time.
Agreed. Sebastian IS Badass
I think I just had an eargasm. Again
So glad I was able to live in the 70s, 80s, 90, and 00s...This is an all-timer, one of my songs with my lady, met her first in high school haha
Yep! The 80s Rocked!! Definitely the best decade for any music specially rock and heavy metal 🥁🎼🎹🎸🤟🤘✌️
One of the Best voices in the '80. Sebastiian and the Skid Row are absolutely Amazing! You need watch now, 18 and life. See you at the next, Megitsune 🤟🏻🦊🇯🇵🔥🔥🔥
THE best rock voice from the 80s
Youth Gone Wild & 18 and Life are a must from that 1st album.
I grew up in this era, I heard all the greats of the 80s; the best time to grow up in, and man do I miss those days.. 😁🎸🎵🔥
I am 61, i love this song.
My favorite version of this song is their live performance from1991 at Wembley
Carrie Underwood rocks it too. She's no Sebastian BUT she does the song justice.
Well done.
Thank you for letting the song play, and recognizing the need to allow the flow of the song to continue from segment to segment (especially the harmony between the vocals and guitar before/after guitar solos).

"Legendary". Exactly. Woof!
You nailed it, "they don't make music like this anymore". It is so right but so sad, they made real music for quite a few decades then most of it just went away. Cool reaction young lady.
I can not believe how much this reaction video made me smile. You have a new fan. Thank you.
The 80’s were SO MUCH FUN!!!!!❤
Sebastian Bach went on to do 4 shows on Broadway..
Also a few solo albums..
He is an amazing singer..
Not only do u respect the music by the fact of using proper headphones, you also have great respect for the artistry that is a guitar solo :) BIG LIKE!
You can't mess with the 80's. I'm so glad I grew up in the 80s...there was so so much great music that everyone still loves. Thanks for reviewing

By the way, those guitar players are Scotti Hill and Snake Sabo. Incredible musicians, and still shred to this day.
This was my era as a young guitarist i love that this era has people like you that appreciate it thank you

Slave is in my top 10 all time.
Hus voice goes right along w the guitar and vice versa out of this world
He does a version of this song live at Wembley Arena that is insane!

Millie, I love your expressions and reactions to my FAVORITE band of the early 90's. So damned good.
This song is my childhood! Jan 19th 1990, I was 9. The spectrum in Philadelphia Pennsylvania! My parents friends had an extra ticket and asked if they could take me. Many songs of the 80’s (this one included) really grab you, even today.
Get ready to fall in love with so many amazing songs from this band thats career got cut short in the middle of the 90s sadly
Love Skid Row!! Seen them in concert a couple of times and Sabastian's voice is just as amazing live. Great reaction!! 😊
Boy does this song bring me back to such happy memories of being in high school and having little to no responsibility! :)
Thank you Millie for having verbiage up in the right hand corner of the screen to tell us the story of the band and this song in particular! Gotta buy you a coffee ☕️ now! I’ll make it a Mocha❤️
Priceless Reaction and Rock n Roll Appreciation...Sebastian Bach's voice is crazy
Classic! I grew up on this . Bach has a killer voice for shure
Beautiful reaction. Absolutely love it.
You should do Monkey Business by Skid Row. It's their power jam. Dude has some serious vocal capability.
This song are ICONIC, I love it.
Love that I was watching you react to this, even tho I'm not with you still special to share a first time hearing a killer song like this, especially this one
The guitarist for Skid Row is one of the most underrated guitarists imo! I think you’ll enjoy 18 and Life next!!
Which one? There are 2.
Classic trained vocalist. His mom was an opera singer.
Also recently he tried to get back into the band but they didn't want him.
I love your reactions. Skid Row take a bow.
Sebastian Bach was the lead singer for the band Skid Row
Damn. She gets it. Love it when that happens, we all felt that way back then. The messed up part is that we got that all the time, daily, such a better time period.
Genuine honest reaction. Love it
This song should never be talked over. Try 18 in life, another one of their big hits. Another one of their big hits is youth gone wild.
18 and Life is one of the most popular from that time along with Youth Gone WIld... I know because I lived it graduating HS in 1988. What a great time to be coming of age when we had music like this.
El Masterclass vocal de Sebastian es Wasted Time,NADIE puede cantar ese temon como el
creo que en realidad nadie más que el lo puede cantar, jeje!
Verry thank you so much for your react my most rock band favorite. God bless you beauty.
every time i listen this song i break down and cry....since the first time.
greetings from Rimini, Italy.

i was a teenager in the 80's this was and still will be the best music ever played.
That is what it sounds like to hear a classic trained singer singing rock.
Saw them open for Guns n Roses in about 1991.....about 3 feet from the stage........GREAT concert.......Sab can sing..............
That was a legendary tour!
Welcome to the club girl! Been lovin this shit for 45 years.
"Bring on the 80's!"...been sayin' that for decades, sweetheart.
I've always loved this song since I heard it when it first came out. I always said these lyrics are one of the most beautiful love letters you can write to someone.
You should watch the live version of this at Wembley stadium in London 1991.
His voice was absolutely amazing back then.
That vocal run by Sebastian Bach at the end is epic. The guy had some great pipes, enough sing live on stage on Broadway. Now, go check out the late great Lane Staley and "Love, Hate, Love" live at The Moore. Same epic vocals.
Your statement , the don'take music like this anymore. So true. Magical times.
Damn right no music like this any more❤❤❤
Holy shit .... "never talk during the guitar solo!"
.... so happy to finally hear someone else say that!!!
It's sad when a young person hears a great band from the 80's/90's and is blown away by them. Sad that music like this ended and the younger generation grew up without great music.
Agreed, all music now days sounds the same.
You are SO right....they don't make music like this anymore.....When music was pure, powerful and real!
You gotta hear Silent Lucidity by Qeensrich !! Epic !!

The absolute best time to be young!!!!
If you want proper goose bumps listen to Wasted Time. He took his voice beyond limits in my opinion it is their best song.
Yes, as people below say... Wasted Time. The song is phenomenal, his singing Epic. A must see!!!!!❤❤❤
The summer of '89..
Between 9th & 10th grade 💕
As a guitar player I love your rule of " never talk during solo".....You Rock!
As soon as you said, remember not to talk during the guitar solo, you got a instant thumbs up!!!
👍😄
Btw Sebastian Bach also played Jeckyl and Hyde on Broadway. I saw him in that show and he was phenomenal! I will always be a huge fan of his. Hes super tall too.
Thank you for reacting to these guys. Skid Row completely reminds me of my (early) teenage years-I was absolutely in LOVE with Sebastian Bach-SWOON-he was not only the most gorgeous man I'd ever seen but also had an absolutely epic voice. 😍
However, I was teased mercilessly about him being too effeminate though-with my brother and cousin once even defacing one of my posters by drawing 'boobies' on him-talk about being properly pissed off! 🤬
When I think back on those times now, I can't help but laugh. 😂
