    I’m so happy that Bob has had such a positive career resurgence in the last 5 years or so. You can just tell that he is in a good place and he’s at peace. I’m so thankful that I had the chance to see him perform, because he is one of the most iconic and important musicians in the history of music.

    Very happy chatty for Bob, normally near sullen when introducing the band, if at all. Hope he maintains this persona a little longer.

    Rare to hear 'Bob talk to the audience. But when it does happen it shows how jovial and personable he can be.

      There have been other tours and individual shows in the oast where he’s spoken some - to introduce songs, sometimes even tell a joke or two.
      There’s a full concert audio of a show in Adelaide, Australia from 1992 on this channel where he introduces and comments on a number of songs.
      ruclips.net/video/9ZHwVmHHZGk/видео.html
      He also talked A LOT during his gospel shows in 1978-80 - but that was mostly preaching.
      When I saw him last November, he seemed more comfortable on stage and at ease with himself than I’ve ever seen him before, by far.
      I guess he’s lived long enough, he’s finally learned how or given himself permission to relax and just enjoy what he loves doing and does so well.
      It’s wonderful to see!

    Did you capture this? If so, incredible work. I was at this show & I know how vigilant the security was. This is the best quality footage I've seen from any show this tour. Do you have any more footage?

    • @ArturArtist
      @ArturArtist  2 года назад +2

      Thank you. Yes and yes. I’m working on editing a song clip from the show now that I hope to post soon. There will be a few more after that. Most of the footage needs some tinkering. The camera work isn’t as good as much of what I got in the 90s and early 2000s even tho’ the camera is technically a lot better.
      You can find a bunch of those older videos here on my channel, if you haven’t seen them yet.
      Also if you haven’t yet subscribed to “Artur Artist” please consider it, so you’ll be notified whenever something new goes up.
      I’m glad you enjoyed the clip.
      Knowing other fans are enjoying the material is what makes the effort worthwhile. 🥰

      I saw him in Toronto the other week he didn’t say much. Just played song to song didn’t even wait for claps to die down after songs just right into the next song. He finished his last song stood up walked to front of stage and turned and walked off stage and that was it.

    Thanks for posting this. In my 12 shows I've never heard Bob introduce the band. Going March 24 in Atlanta. The Fox. I'm hoping he kills it. The best of 12, was Love and Theft , 2002, Orlando. He was on fire. BTW, Love and Theft was officially released Sept 11, 2001. We all remember that horrible day.

    • @ArturArtist
      @ArturArtist  2 года назад

      You’re welcome. He’s introduced the band on many tours, many others he hasn’t.
      I can’t remember exactly when but I think it was some time in the later ‘90s he introduced Tony Garnier at least a couple of times as “a man who tried to milk a cow with a monkey wrench!”. - That stuck with me!
      I hope you have a great time in Atlanta! I saw 4 shows in November but I’m still jealous that I can’t make it to any of this next leg.
      But I shouldn’t be greedy. Sigh…

      Phoenix in 2016 he came out, sang fifteen tunes. No break, no hello, no goodbye. It was like a magic trick from a legend. fabulous. I'll be in Phoenix on the 3rd for the opener. Maybe he'll introduce them. Cool if he doesn't though. He's Dylan and that's enough for me.

      Please try to record something.
      I was at the Texas show last night and I noticed they just changed "Key West" (the eleventh song on the set list) and they made it even better. It's an even better version of the song with more ups and highs than before and so far NO ONE has recorded it, sadly. It seems like a VERY new but amazing change while on tour.

      @@ArturArtist no problem. I was talking to our friend going to the Atlanta show and seeing if they can get a nice recording.
      I'm kicking myself for not recording but it caught me by surprise anyway.
      The venue honestly had bad sound regardless. His vocals were present but everything was totally wrongly EQ'd. Still enjoyed it and it was the venue's fault.
