Happy Chaos is such a cool and unique character. It just sucks that they couldn't give him the nukes, would've really brought the whole kit together...

Ah chaos… Everyone’s favorite character. Totally not like he’s been an overpowered monster since release, right?
Since season 3, Happy Chaos has been in a much healthier place in terms of strength, while his still a very strong character in the right hands, compared to his older states, he’s way more in-line with others.
Happy Chaos is not only a great zoner, but can also do well as a rush-down playstyle.
He has: Below average health, damage, defense and he has to balance two resources… however, he has a gun.
Similar to how guns are overpowered in real life, they can be overpowered in fighting games and Chaos 100% shows this to us. He’s able to convert off of everything, unmatched ranged, flashy combos and much more. All because of his gun.
I think Happy Chaos will always be a strong character because of his gun, but at the current state of the game, he’s pretty fine where he’s at. Not to mention he is a very hard character to learn, so there has to be a reward for learning him.
As for Jack-o…
I definitely feel like Jack-o is rising in power as time goes on, and she won at EVO.
Just like Happy Chaos, Jack-o can play an amazing zoning, and rushdown game- that’s if she gets the set-up right, which high level Jack-o’s have mastered to do.
She’s also a very hard character to learn and do well with, and just like Chaos the reward for learning such a hard character, is 100% worth it. (She also looks incredibly fun to play)
Overall both characters are quite similar to each other, both take a lot skill, but can be absurd in the right hands.
another good thing about these two characters is that they are both in a position where they’re strong, but not too weak and not too strong.
I have high respect to the people who have mastered these characters to their maximum potential and hope that they can find big success as these characters.
He's mid tier. You could try reading patch notes, or even looking at tier lists. He also hasn't been "unmatched ranged" since his focus drain at long range got nerfed. Just watch this video, he gets outzoned by Jack-o. If he outzones, it's vs chars who can't fight full screen. Currently, there's no reward to learning him. He's a mid tier with by far the hardest execution in the game. You can pick a Sol Badguy and do anything into H Volcanic Viper and you'll do more dmg than Happy Chaos with any of his optimal, situational combo routes.

Happy Chaos has strengths, but most of it is hindered by the execution requirements. His 2 frame clean hit confirms are technically what sets him apart, but they're so difficult even Leffen doesn't use them. And to be throw safe with roll pressure, you require manual 1 frame timings.
Happy Chaos's only saving grace is that some people whine and complain instead of learning the matchup. Most of his stuff you can blow up if you just watch his resources and understand what he needs to do.
@@thuroria7631Good argument, unfortunately, on LKs season 3.5 tierlist he put HC on the highest tier. Yes it is outdated but HC became objectively better this patch, with him not really being affected by the global changes while many others did. Not to mention many other top streamers/players say HC is great.
Also I’m sorry to assume but you mightn’t be that good at HC if you say his mid with no reward to master him.

im new to guilty gear and fighting games in general, its so funny to see a character blocking while in the jack o' pose, and also this match up is very hard for jack, right? since blocking removes the dudes and happy chaos has a gun that forces her to block, i ended up on this vid cause i liked jack o' gameplay but i will stick with easier char for now lol
