The physics in POY are jank in the best way. Sometimes when I pull myself up to a hold and kick off with the crampons, I only go like 2 feet, but other times you get launched ten feet vertically into the air. Makes for hilarious speedruns like this in conjunction w/ coffee, even just a few weeks out from release… seeing people finish levels like Cromlech- which I was stuck on for hours- get beaten in seconds by having a caffeine-induced seizure is a silly and incredible feat, and this run is no exception.
The timer starts from the ground since Patch 1.4.5. It is not possible to avoid the trigger anymore and this particular speedrun category has been achived

Making the character Scottish is the best move as it’s now believable he canonically did this.

its a physics based climbing game named peaks of yore where you regularly climg up mountain or these boulders

I thought the timer was supposed to start once off the ground. It should've started when you first touched the hold IMO, but still impressive
