Most underrated DC movie of all time
without any doubt, just because its brutal and gory it was blocked in some countries and kids could not see it, so many milions of dollars didnt reach the creators.... it is masterpiece.

Rorschach was the best character in this movie hands down. What an absolute legend and total badass. He knew he was going to get killed and still was an straight unit.
They were all amazing tbh, even Veidt who had good intentions and probably the best antagonist in any super hero movie ever
Dr.Manhattan could bring him back to life if he wanted to, is it canon and then on the comics that this is the only way Rorschach dies? He never comes back? And what was “The Comedian” super power? Or was he just like Hooded Justice and Night Owl that they a littte over average strong and know how to fight?
Rorschach was... well he was a damaged and... really awful person but he was a really well written character, def one of my favorite.
@@Joseloc01 He didn't have super powers, he was like the Punisher, well trained and well armed. As for bringing him back to life, he could have i mean Doomsday Clock showed he had a LOT of power but he didn't bring him back or transported him to another dimension like he did to the Comedian, he is pretty much dead and his "legacy" was passed on to another character who took up the mask, not as crazy mind you but damaged nonetheless.

Haven't seen a combination of cinematography, set design, colour grading, aesthetically pleasing visuals, non linear storyline and VFX so pleasing to the eyes and so masterfully done.

You have read the comic I assume so don't think the depth of this story deserved much more attention?
Zack Snyder knows how to make each frame a painting.
That he does. I dislike a few elements about his filmmaking style most of the time (with this film and 300 as the exception) but let it never be said he isn’t a good visual storyteller.

In the comic night owl didn’t see Rorschach get killed from dr Manhattan but I’m glad they put him in the movie and screamed I feel like it showed that he really cared about his friend

I like the idea of using Dr. Manhattan powers as a weapon because it is good enough for why he needs to leave. As much as I love the Cthulhu inspired monsters, Zack Synder choice is infinitely better than Alan moore's.
@@giuseppepapaleo3030 they should’ve kept Rorschach Burning the Child-Murderer alive while giving him the option to saw his arm off..imagine the beautiful shot we could’ve gotten with Rorschach staring into the fire with blood soaked onto his jacket..which lead to another great scene of him getting that same blood stained uniform from his land-lord (even though we had the awesome “What do you see Doctor?” Scene), which showed he had a soft-spot for kids.

Even then, Watchmen is vastly different from the rest of the DCEU. Watchmen deals with some heavy subjects and intrigue, the "superheros" are very human and there's no true evil except human nature, living in a world doomed to a nuclear holocaust and having to make some very tough calls in their final days until Veidt tricked the world.

Even Alan Moore said this was a reaction to the comics of old and shouldn't have been the template for stories going forward.
@@FanboyFilms correct. He himself later blamed for how dark killing joke since batman is a kids character. The ones who support are just plain stupid believing that they know every thing but they don't. Hot headed fools they are and nothing else.
I still think saying batman is a kids character is stupid since he did start out dark and became light hearted and then became dark again because they wanted to go back to his roots. Also, it made Batman a really compelling character and gave us many great Batman movies and shows.
I like how when Zack, DC Comics WB and HBO Max using this song as Justice League trailer music. my favorite part is when Lois looking at Superman in the sky the lyrics “I'll stand before the lord of song” Plays in the background symbolized Superman as Jesus of DC Comics.
and at the beginning when it says "i heard there was a secret chord that david played to please the lord" it shows darkseid and supermans death scene because once superman died the sound it made echoed and darkseid heard it and thats how he knew there was no kryptonian on earth anymore so he could now invade.
There are a lot symbolisms throughout the trailer...
Also relating to the whole snydercut movement

This film is an underrated masterpiece. Had it come out 10 years later it would be regarded as one of the greatest comic book films of all time, but the world just wasn’t ready for it when it came out. It did the whole “superheroes aren’t as good as you think” thing way before The Boys did. Jackie Earle Haley’s performance as Rorschach was incredible, he was the best part of the film. Couldn’t imagine anyone else in that role. This is Zack Snyder’s magnum opus imo, his unique style of directing was perfectly suited to adapt the world of Watchmen.

I will say this movie is incredibly underrated. None of my friends have heard of it besides from me. It’s one of my favorite movies and comics of all time. And rorshach is one of my favorite characters of all time

In my opinion the best DC movie ever. Rorschach was so amazing and badass. “Your turn doctor, tell me… what do you see??” Zack Snyder made an absolute masterpiece here and had an incredible cast working with him! Jackie Earle Haley deserved an Oscar. Most badass superhero film. An underrated gem. The cinematography is unrivaled and it was made back in 2009.
Watchman is so deep and takes a few watches to get it. Its really a masterpiece of a movie. Reading the plot of this film makes it sound like incomprehensible gibberish, but it all makes sense when you actually watch it.
This movie easily beats any of the new dc films.

Ozymandius arc is perfectly done. He fought against Rorschach because he knew he wouldn't stop (including spreading the truth). He knew Owlman II would. The best "villain" ever put to script, IMO.
