"Originally considered as an option for the first single from Radiohead’s 1995 release The Bends, '(Nice Dream)' was never released as a single. It wound up as track 6 on the album. In Q Magazine issue 261 it was revealed the song was recorded in a peculiar way: 'It sounded like the entire band were strumming acoustic guitars on this lilting beauty. And they were, all five of them, on the terrace outside the Manor studio one sunny day in July. John Leckie’s intention was to recreate the lush ambience of George Harrison’s 'My Sweet Lord,' suiting lyrics about a 'good angel,' a 'garden' and a sense of mysterious belonging. The cello and violin nearly didn’t make it after Yorke learned that Leckie had recently used strings on an album by Ride, the band’s Oxford rivals of the time.'"
Awesome! Also amazing that the violin and cello made it to the final version, IMO they transcend the song into being one of the most awesome of all time!

@Luis Edward Yup, been using Instaflixxer for years myself :D
I love that yearning vocal at 0:09. The final version of the song should've had that - would've made it so much better, and it's already great.
I think this version is beautiful vocally, but it is happier, the original version is more melancholic precisely because of the way he sings it
this makes me feel safe
This is soooo beautiful!!!!!!
Incredible.
Simply Awesome, just so awesome
Fuck this song is heartbreaking
This song could be played in a wedding as well as a funeral, a song about life. 🎶
I'm a sweet girl made of chocolate : )
A melhor banda do mundo!
Uma das melhores, o rock alternativo dessa banda nos anos 90 era épico demais!!! Até hoje eles são demais.
