Dearest Carolyn: first, thank you for putting together this beautiful vlog. The scenery is fabulous, and so are the many shots and angles you put together just for us. Second, I wish I could take your migraine away. I know how debilitating those can be. Thirdly, please accept my fondest wishes, blessings and gratitude. I love watching your adventures.
Patrick O'Donovan I’m so sorry you have migraines too. They are very debilitating. I wouldn’t wish them on anyone. Hope today is a good day for you!!❤️💜
What a beautiful reward you got for the endurance it took to get a fantastic camp area. I would have camped there for another day and soaked in the beauty! Nature heals the body, mind, and soul. Amazing.
CAROLYN. One of the things I love about you is how you have always filmed the most beautiful Barron trees along your journeys I so appreciate that you see the beauty in these trees. You see the beauty in people as well and I always notice these things. Thank you for sharing all the unique people, places and things in this beautiful world we live in. I so appreciate you. Hugs
Ooooooohhhh, Carolyn! With each vid, I can feel the allure of your journey! The scenery is Achingly Beautiful, and I long to be there, too. The most appealing aspects for me would be the peaceful isolation and the tranquility of the wilderness. And it would be like reciting a mantra of footsteps and breaths, over and over. Thanks for the trip.
After 12 tears of multiple natural remedies, to say the least, (calculated I'd spent entire year of my life locked in blacked out bedroom in horrid pain and projectile vomiting, without relief), and then taking your Rx, was told by pharmacist about Zomig/zolmitriptan and it changed my life! It stopped every migraine. Yay!Freedom! That was over 17 years ago. Still take as needed. Thank god for it!
Wow! So much beauty today! Amazing views and meadows and water. I'm so impressed with the way you keep trooping in spite of the obstacles. Hiking with a migraine can't be fun, but you have such a good attitude! Thanks for sharing your trip!
I started taking magnesium for my migraines.has really helped. Sorry you got the migraine but your new shoes are working out, literally 💕 your a trooper.
You are an amazing woman. When I have migraines I am worthless. I can’t be around light, smells, sounds. Especially out in the hot sun. You are something else.. ❤️❤️❤️
When I pass from this world into the next, I pray I can spend every day in the kind of beauty you found at this camping spot. What a wonderful reward for pushing through your pain.
Wow you’re strength and determination are inspiring! Sorry you had the migraine but thrilled you ended up in such a beautiful camp. And the color of that lake water! WOW!
wow the area with bare trees looks like it burned only several years ago. I see young saplings coming up at the feet of the dead trees. So much habitat lost. But other areas you found are full of wildlife. Beautiful
Carolyn thank you for these wonderful and amazing videos! Due to a health issue I now live in a nursing facility. I don’t get out much and your videos help me to mentally and emotionally get out of here and explore America. Thank you again!
I’m so impressed with you doing this hike, walking on the terrain you walk on, I would’ve rolled down many of those hills and mountains! I hope you’re feeling better and rested. I’m loving following your journey. Take good care.
I've always admired you,but more now! Your strength and humor are wonderful. And you have managed to thrill me by commenting and I feel included!🤗 Thank you.
Always appreciate your honesty on the Hard times in the trail, scary times (RV ing) and every time you share your thoughts with us. You encourage everyone to be their Authentic selves, and not worry about glossing over reality to make things ‘look’ Better. Great editing BTW.
OMG, Carolyn. I'm watching every vid and it serms you've been in volcanic and/or burn area for SO long! I had no idea Oregon had so much burn scar. At least the burns allow an extended view. Glad your feet are better.
Carolyn....I have read about so many people disappearing off the PCT and the AT it scared me. My brother and I agree that you're the bravest person! We are anxious between each of your video's wanting to know that you're ok. God has his hand of protection over you! Amen!
Thank you ... Many of us on the East coastal area would never get to see these sights. I am Located in South Carolina close to the AT and Blue Ridge Mountains, the trail scenery is so different! Gorgeous trees and mountain laurel and rhododendron, flowering dogwoods, etc. but so much greenery that it is harder to see the views ... but awesome anyway!
Sounds wonderful. It seems that no matter where we are or which trail we decide to venture upon - Nature has something beautiful for us to see! Thank you for sharing Rose!
Thanks to you, I have been able to see The Tree Sisters, Mt. Washington and Mt. Jackson. Amazing. So sorry you are pushing yourself thru this with a migraine. Hoping you find the strength to complete your journey. Hugs.
Sorry about your headache in this footage of your hike...no fun being sick. But you sound somewhat content and happy in this footage, which is better than before, so I'm glad, besides the headache, that you had a good day on the trail. It IS gorgeous scenery. God bless.
so crazy, I just watched Kate Cloud's video "Day 122 on The Pacific Crest Trail, 2000 MILES ! Mount Jefferson" today & it was her 2000 mile with rocks that she made was in this video!
#251 Good morning, Carolyn. My sense of balance would not allow me to hike that trail. You have taking some wonderful videos of mountains, etc. Great Escape, so Wonderful! Thanks!
Sorry to hear you have a migraine. You are such a trooper, Caroline! Thank you so very much for taking us all with you on the hike- I just love the beautiful scenery. 💐
I can't imagine hiking when I wasnt feeling well, much less with a migraine! A true warrior woman!!! Such beautiful scenery. I love it when you stop and just let us listen to the quiet. My favorite thing about the wilderness I think.
The land is so beautiful.the color of the water 💦 is outstanding. You have to know your limits. If you stopped, no big deal. You did what your body told you to do. Stop ✋. Why suffer? Just enjoy the beauty you got to see.
This is really beautifully edited - I love the mix of live sound with the overlay of music and your quiet thoughts. You've reached a new level of quality I think. Oh damn, I'm logged in under the wrong account! No wonder I had t resubscribe! Thought YT was playing a joke on me. The exhaustion and pain are clear in your voice, so the rest time makes sense - I think you'll come to whatever decision you made, soon in the series and we'll celebrate it with you - it's your life, we just cheer you on. Hopefully your nap and meds allowed you to wake pain free.
Oh, by the way - when those dead but beautiful trees show up, I think of Tree Skeletons. We have a lot here in Joshua Tree Nat Park that are twisted and sometimes black with yellow areas. They are amazing. But the white ones here are super special. Really cool.
You have an eye for natural beauty...it is absolutely a wonderful thing what you share with us by being so adventurest and strong ....from here you have already done an amazing thing no matter how far you go...
You have done really good lots of miles a day. I have done a lot of hiking while hunting but not that many miles. You have to keep putting the next foot forward just think about that left right left. You should be fit and strong when you are done.
WOW, so much desolation, then pain and then beauty. What an incredible range of emotions and scenery. This video was really intense at times. Hope you get some good rest and sleep. Thanks for sharing.
It's so amazing how beautiful my state is. I'm in awh of what you've captured. It's time I get myself in shape to do this also. Thanks for the inspiration 😍👍
Hello, climbing with a migraine would have been horrific. If you do stop hiking you can be assured you have achieved so much that many of us could never do. You go girl I know you have inner strength. Again, I say this every time, Thankyou for doing these videos. You do not know how much inspiration you are giving to me and I guess many others. Stay Safe. I am really sending you love, hugs and strength. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
What an absolutely beautiful country we live in. Thank you Carolyn for doing all the hard work for alot of us who would otherwise never get to see this. I personally owe you alot of gratitude for sharing this. Thanks a million. 😊
Man, these trails looked really steep on this day, I would definitely have been scared of that! Was waiting for this video, watching from my bubble bath!🤪lol👍🐶🐶💞
You are such an amazing role model for we single women who are adventuring through life!! Thank you for sharing your adventures and reality on the PCT!! I am enjoying every video.
Oh my dear Carolyn. I pretty much cried though this whole video. Some for the sights and beauty of it all and some for the fact that you got one of those darn migraines. I needed your inspiration this morning. I woke up in pain as the weather change often dose to me. But I need to push through and get my chores done. As you well know living in an RV has its upkeep and I’ve learned to get it done and then I can relax. I’m going to meet up with another Friendly tomorrow! She’s someone who reached out to me after I posted a Help! In your group because I’m struggling with a transition from Windows to Mac. How cool that she would offer a free lesson and we get to camp near each other. Your fans are such groovy folks💕 As always your life gives me hope and courage to push past my self imposed limits and I’m so grateful. Safe travels sweetie and I hope to see you sometime soon 💓✌🏽
It's amazing how fast the forest is already coming back after such a devastaing fire. The wild flower fields are just beautiful and the lake views are as well! Hiking with a migrain can't be much fun but you handled it like a trooper. Good for you! :-)
Thank you for sharing the beauty of the hike, and the reality of the drudgery of hiking this terrain. I'll never hike the PCT, but love the experience you have endured and shared.
I'm so sorry about your migraine. Kudo 's to you for hiking with your head hurting. I just know in my heart you will make it to the end of your hike. Love the lakes, streams and beautiful flowers. Cute chip monk.
You made it much further than me with a migraine I would have wanted to just lay down. I have Meneires (lot of vertigo, migraines, light headedness, tinitus). You are amazingly strong and have the will power to keep pushing forward when I want to cry if carrying the groceries home from the store hurt my hands and I'm tired. The store is a mile from my place lol. Here you are walking so many miles a day. I realize now just how much of a baby I've become. I agree with Kate Bailey. I grew up camping in the Uinta mountains of Utah and hike short day hikes. I loved it and miss it very much. I would need to train for two years to do what you have done lol.
I suspect you're getting just plain exhausted. It's a really LONG trail! You've been such a champ! I've been following you on youtube since California. However you make it, you're a champion in my book!
Carolyn, feel better....and try not push yourself so hard. ☺ 18 miles in a day sounds like an aweful lot to me. I have never hiked myself.......but .take care....the body is talking to you. Some of the scenery is so nice and love the wild flowers too. ☺
Sorry about the migraine, but you found a beautiful place to set up camp and rest. Thank you for showing us all the beauty as you hike. I hope you feel better and managed to continue to the end of the trail.
Wow, I would be terrified on some of those trails, because heights scare me, and my balance is terrible. Not great for a 48 year old. Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful journey you are on, Carolyn. I am so sorry about the migraine 😢. I have chronic migraine, and woke up hurting quite a bit this morning. I have so much to do (laundry, cleaning, cooking, etc.) but maybe I should rest? I can imagine you do get discouraged out there, but gosh, you are showing the rest of us that we can do hard things!!!! That white water creek and blue sky is breathtaking!! You are in my prayers, my friend. Much much love, Carolyn 💜❤️ P.S. We lost another one of our fur babies last month, our 10 year old pug named Charlie 😢😢. We are all (the kids, my husband and I) are going to be grieving for a long time to come. We are now left with one, Charlie’s daughter Lucy. She is so so sad too. We are giving her tons of extra love.
Who in the hell could dislike this video? Its a woman hiking a trail, pushing herself and seeing the world.Wether u care for it or not , I don't see how it deserves a dislike!
We all love your adventures you beautiful Soul!
Thank you Patrick - Glad you are enjoying the videos and the adventure!
Patrick O'Donovan I’m so sorry you have migraines too. They are very debilitating. I wouldn’t wish them on anyone. Hope today is a good day for you!!❤️💜

I am GLUED to her Vlog! Thanks for sharing all Carolyn.
What a beautiful reward you got for the endurance it took to get a fantastic camp area. I would have camped there for another day and soaked in the beauty! Nature heals the body, mind, and soul. Amazing.

Thank you for taking us with you on this beautiful trip. It means everything to those of us who can't do it to at least see what you can see.
Ooooooohhhh, Carolyn! With each vid, I can feel the allure of your journey! The scenery is Achingly Beautiful, and I long to be there, too. Glad you found something that really works for you Tricia! What a relief!
Idk how you walked with a migraine. When I’ve had them I just lie very still in the dark. You are amazing
Migraines usually knock me flat. You are one tough warrior!! 💕
They are horrible, aren't they? But there was no other choice but forward... Thanks Karen!
Yes they Are! And bravo for your tenacity 👏👏👏💪
That's great your new shoes are helping your blisters! I hope some extra rest helps your head pain!❤ Beautiful views!🌲☀🌲
Wow! So much beauty today! Amazing views and meadows and water. I'm so impressed with the way you keep trooping in spite of the obstacles. Hiking with a migraine can't be fun, but you have such a good attitude! Thanks for sharing your trip!
Beautiful country! Rest and be well!
I started taking magnesium for my migraines.has really helped. Sorry you got the migraine but your new shoes are working out, literally 💕 your a trooper.
cheryl campbell how much do you take? I am taking magnesium too, but not noticing a change yet.
@@loriadams7724 I take up to 1,000 mg. per day of Citrate, Malate, or Glycinate. Has helped a lot for my horrible migraines.
Wendy B thank you! I will look into that. 🥰

That camping spot was gorgeous!
Wow you’re strength and determination are inspiring! Sorry you had the migraine but thrilled you ended up in such a beautiful camp. And the color of that lake water! WOW!
You’re such an inspiration. :)
wow the area with bare trees looks like it burned only several years ago. I see young saplings coming up at the feet of the dead trees. So much habitat lost. But other areas you found are full of wildlife. Beautiful
So proud of you. Thanks so much for the majestic beauty you show me every single time I watch, truly awesome.
I feel your migraine and exhaustion as well. Rest now so I too can rest 😚😨. Beautiful pics! Thanks so much, Carolyn. Feel better soon. Xo
I can't imagine hiking with a migraine. You're very strong. ❤
Another great video. The scenery is beautiful. Thanks
Beautiful🙌🏽🙌🏽 Watched this one with my son while we ate dinner. I hope the migraine subsided. Sending positive vibes your way😊✨
Great shot of the lake and mountains! Blues and greens and Browns! 🇺🇸❤️😃
They are beautiful aren't they and the camera just doesn't seem to ever do it justice. Thanks Rhonda!
Carolyn thank you for these wonderful and amazing videos! Due to a health issue I now live in a nursing facility. I don’t get out much and your videos help me to mentally and emotionally get out of here and explore America. Thank you again!
Beautiful wildflowers and bumble bees. I agree, about the mystical beauty of the bare, sunbleached trees.
I’m so impressed with you doing this hike, walking on the terrain you walk on, I would’ve rolled down many of those hills and mountains! I hope you’re feeling better and rested. I’m loving following your journey. Take good care.
If only rolling down was an option haha! Thank you for you comment Life Unboxed, it make me smile! Take care.
Carolyn's RV Life please don’t roll or anything else down any hills!!!! 😉😉
I've always admired you,but more now! Your strength and humor are wonderful. And you have managed to thrill me by commenting and I feel included!🤗 Thank you.
Always appreciate your honesty on the

Better. Great editing BTW.
Amazing photos! I hope you enjoy this video as much as we do. You’re skills floor me!
Sorry about your migraine.. I am surprised you didn't have to stop sooner. I cant stand the bright light when I have one
Wow, you have way more perseverance than I. I have a lot but it almost seems like it's an inner struggle that is personal to everyone themselves.
The sound of water would soothe me and I'd want to stay
Wonderful!!!!!
So beautiful, I would totally relax my body and let it go
Your strength to continue is very impressive and all inspiring so, sorry you had a migraine on the trail.
OMG, Carolyn. I'm watching every vid and it serms you've been in volcanic and/or burn area for SO long! I had no idea Oregon had so much burn scar. At least the burns allow an extended view.
Glad your feet are better.
Yes, it is surprising, isn't it? Thanks Susan ☺️👣
Carolyn....I have read about so many people disappearing off the PCT and the AT it scared me. My brother and I agree that you're the bravest person! We are anxious between each of your video's wanting to know that you're ok. God has his hand of protection over you! Amen!
Summer of 2018 was really hot and dry Oregon, Washington and Canada suffered severe wildfires.
A migraine on the trail. My idea of hell. You are one strong woman.
Thanks Linda!
Linda L Miller you can say that again!!! Hope today is a good one for you. 💜❤️
What kind of wild animals, if any, have you seen on your adventure? Your doing Great Carolyn, you got this!! ⚘⚘
Migraines are the worst! I could not have hiked as far as you did! Good on you for going that far with a migraine!
So sorry about your headache. I love that beautiful bumble bee 🐝. Again such wonderful things to see! Feel better! 🌲🌻✌️
Thank you ... Many of us on the East coastal area would never get to see these sights. I am Located in South Carolina close to the AT and Blue Ridge Mountains, the trail scenery is so different! Sounds wonderful. It seems that no matter where we are or which trail we decide to venture upon - Nature has something beautiful for us to see! Thank you for sharing Rose!
I can’t even imagine a migraine out there! I used to get them, not much after menopause tho, thank God! You are seriously my hero brave lady...
Thanks to you, I have been able to see The Tree Sisters, Mt. Washington and Mt. Jackson. Amazing. So sorry you are pushing yourself thru this with a migraine. Hoping you find the strength to complete your journey. Hugs.
Love you Caroyn. Relax and slow down and take care of you. You can set your own pace. No one is pressuring you. Love you dear.
Sorry about your headache in this footage of your hike...no fun being sick. But you sound somewhat content and happy in this footage, which is better than before, so I'm glad, besides the headache, that you had a good day on the trail. It IS gorgeous scenery. God bless.
The cost of the fires is so apparent in your videos, so sad. Thanks for taking us on a hike that we'd never be able to take otherwise.
Drink a bottle of water with vitamins & minerals! Eat a snack for some energy Carolyn..& sit & relax a bit!
i took one of your pictures for my wall papers thank you very much for that....
Carry on, my friend, whatever you choose to do. 👍💕❤️💕
so crazy, I just watched Kate Cloud's video "Day 122 on The Pacific Crest Trail, 2000 MILES ! Mount Jefferson" today & it was her 2000 mile with rocks that she made was in this video!
Was wondering the same!
Wow, how awesome is that!?
shinynblue love her vids!!-just saw your comment too😊
I said the same thing. Cool seeing the same spot so close time wise.
Kate didnt make that 2000 mile marker, she jazzed it up. She also went trough the area recently, Carolyn did this summer. :)
So wonderful scenery. I wish I could have done that.
This video broke my heart, having a nasty migraine, difficult trails, spirits down. You have achieved so much & dang lady I’m super proud.
Migraine? Oh hell no to hiking. Guess that is why i am not a hiker, anymore. Never was, long distance. You are definitely a "better man than i". Hugs.
Thank you for your comment Linda - Yes, I enjoy those quiet moments where you simply can listen to nature!
The land is so beautiful.the color of the water 💦 is outstanding. You have to know your limits. If you stopped, no big deal. You did what your body told you to do. Stop ✋. Why suffer? Just enjoy the beauty you got to see.
Awesome views...I also have migraines and I know the pain. I would not have been able to walk two feet... Thank you for sharing.
Thanks Shawnee
Scout Lake at Jefferson Park is 5837 feet. Maybe you had a little altitude sickness. I'v had it and the headache was nearly unbearable. Hugs
This is really beautifully edited - I love the mix of live sound with the overlay of music and your quiet thoughts. You've reached a new level of quality I think. Oh damn, I'm logged in under the wrong account! No wonder I had t resubscribe! Thought YT was playing a joke on me. Hi Carolyn🙋 I had my coffee, with you ☕ Jefferson lake, is so serene ! Enjoyed the the different wild flowers! This is where God is ! Esther from N.Y.
Whoa, those switchbacks... and then agony of your migraine. You've accomplished so much. The edge of those cliff's made me shudder.👍💙💚💛
Thank you May Anne!
I keep thinking Bears life there.
The sights are absolutely breath taking
Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!

Aww, Thank you betty - so glad you are enjoying them! And thank you for leaving your comment!
Tree shapes speak to me as well. Love seeking them in the woods. Thanks again for taking us all on this journey.
What a beautiful set of shots on what must have been a hellish day. Thank you and well done. Amazing staying power!
You have done really good lots of miles a day. I have done a lot of hiking while hunting but not that many miles. You have to keep putting the next foot forward just think about that left right left. You should be fit and strong when you are done.
Thank you so much for sharing this with us! Gorgeous views!
You are a warrior‼️What a great shot when you are sitting on your break at the lake‼️💜
Thank you Sunny Rivers - Glad you enjoyed it!
WOW, so much desolation, then pain and then beauty. What an incredible range of emotions and scenery. This video was really intense at times. Hope you get some good rest and sleep. Thanks for sharing.

What an absolutely beautiful country we live in. Thank you Carolyn for doing all the hard work for alot of us who would otherwise never get to see this. I personally owe you alot of gratitude for sharing this. Thanks a million. 😊
Thanks Jamie - glad you are enjoying the journey!
Feeling the way you are and watching you trek those narrow paths makes me hold my breath.
I wonder if the higher altitudes affect your migraines??Love the photo i side your tent. Thank you for inviting us!!!
As always your life gives me hope and courage to push past my self imposed limits and I’m so grateful. Safe travels sweetie and I hope to see you sometime soon 💓✌🏽
Watching you brew morning coffee took me back to one of the most enjoyable camping/hiking experiences
Coffee is amazing - so many times it is tide to good memories. Glad you were able to go back in time Forrest Osborn! ☕️😊
It's amazing how fast the forest is already coming back after such a devastaing fire. The wild flower fields are just beautiful and the lake views are as well! Hiking with a migrain can't be much fun but you handled it like a trooper. Good for you! :-)
Thank you. Still Loving the scenery.
Amazing you could continue. Your spot it beautiful
Thank you Judy!
Thank you for this day! like someone said I may never have seen this part of my country if not for you : ) so beautiful love it so ~*~
Some of those views, wow they remind us how small we are and what a beautiful place we live in . Get feeling better , see you soon.
Thank you for sharing the beauty of the hike, and the reality of the drudgery of hiking this terrain. I'll never hike the PCT, but love the experience you have endured and shared.
That is a nice campsite. Evergreens with a full load of needles and meadows is better than a bunch of naked fallen logs inundating the landscape.
Breathtaking views! Ok, I had a vision of PigPen from the Peanuts cartoons when you mentioned the dust kicking up. Lol. God bless.
Haha! That is funny - thanks for the comment riskybizness00
I'm so sorry about your migraine. Kudo 's to you for hiking with your head hurting. I just know in my heart you will make it to the end of your hike. Love the lakes, streams and beautiful flowers. Cute chip monk.

Right on Carolyn, through thick and thin, good, bad and ugly. Well done. Thank you for letting me be there with you.👍🌲🌲

Sorry about the migraine, but you found a beautiful place to set up camp and rest. Thank you for showing us all the beauty as you hike. I hope you feel better and managed to continue to the end of the trail.
WOWZER! The water crossing truly looked dangerous. :/
Beautiful....thanks for taking me on your journey through your shared videos.
Haha! Glad to have you on board Sassy!
I used to wake up with migraines and dip my head in the coldest water in the Bavarian elps instant relief! Altitude has a play in how you're feeling.
What an adventure! You are a Wonder Woman!
Jane Eley one brave woman
Haha! Thank you Jane 😁
Much much love, Carolyn 💜❤️
