My house is too quiet now that my oldest is all moved out (she’s almost 21!!!) and my middlest is too cool to hang out with us (she’s almost 17). So I just have the “baby” left but he just turned 10 so not a baby baby anymore. 😢

Pausing 3 minutes in to say-- If your yarn is "regular" wool, you should be fine without the nylon. MERINO wool definitely needs the nylon because the staple (i.e. the fibers) is very short, which is part of what makes it feel so soft and luxurious. That's a fine-looking sock!
thank you! I believe it is superwash merino, it's malebrigo machete or something like that, it's so soft! I do have a wool nylon blend self striping yarn I think I'll use for my husband's pair

Hope your move and settling in has gone well! The adjustment phase does take time, I need to stamp my personality all over the place. My parents just moved last year (3rd move in a decade) and it doesn’t yet feel like their place except for the garden outside which was clearly my mom’s priority

I have the design but haven't started it yet. Definitely in my plans. I'm also working on the Deco Spirits charts--started last year, I think it was before the retreat. I have about 5 Mira's in progress, did start one this month--Queen of Peace that I was gifted at the retreat. Your chatelaine is indeed beautiful and I know you would enjoy that retreat if you could swing it. Take care.

it does take time, I am getting there and more comfortable with the place after these few months

You can just take another piece of yarn and close up the holes.

Yes, I'm registered for this year's retreat in Charlotte. Thought I'd give it another year since it's the closest retreat to me that I know of. :-)
