Hey guys, thanks for sticking around and sorry for the incredibly slow year... This is the only original song I've had the energy/motivation/inspiration to write. It's been a long year for me, both incredibly busy and emotionally taxing. I hope you guys can forgive the long drought.
This song had to be important to me for it to be the only song I write in a year, and it was. It's the spiritual successor to my song from last year "Crystal Heart". Obviously things didn't go that well as I'd hoped.
I pumped my creative energies and feelings into this, as the year went by things went up and down and I added more and more. I was finally satisfied with how it was written by the end of the summer. I had already had a demo done of the first verse and chorus, but it needed a lot more work to get done, and with my new full time job, I found myself lacking the motivation to work on music when I got home, especially on a depressed song like this.
But as the months went by I've pieced it together and I think I'm finally satisfied with it. It's a song about thinking back to what I might have changed, or how things might have turned out differently, and trying to move on.

I can't really relate to this song (not really interested in relationships or whatever), but great music is great music. I loved Crystal Heart and this is a great successor to that song. Great job dude.

As someone who spend the last 3 years trying to piece his life back together and move on(and honestly, failing) this song is quite heavy. I love your music P1k, I remember buying a CD from you back at Everfree 2012(It's All Fanfic to Me) because of my love for "The End of Ponies" Song.
Those were much better days for me, but the music is still just as good. So, thankyou, for creating something that will be eternally bright(if not happy, at least touching), no matter how dark the world may get.

Another fabulous song, though I feel awful that you went through the circumstances which are the inspiration for this song. I'm sure we all want to encourage you to keep making music though, and to do it at your own pace. Sure, you didn't have any major songs this year, but that's completely fine. I've loved your music for quite a while and would love to see more of your work in the future. Also, I thought you did a real nice job at Bronycon this year.

Two things, Mr. P1K. 1) Your music continues to inspire. From my introduction to the fandom three years ago to today, your creative work has inspired my own. This song, in particular, is among your best. I love it.
2) I understand what you're going through, at least a little. I have stood amongst the crumbled ruins of my life, watching as all my plans for my future with someone drifted like ash on a breeze. The only comforting words I can offer are these: The ride isn't over. There are great things waiting for us in the unknown and unknowable future, amazing things we cannot even conceive.
