I thought it be fun to write a prequel to "Destroy the Simulation." So here it is! Sorry I haven't posted as much this year. I've been trying to only release the songs I'm genuinely proud of. In the past, I've definitely rushed the process more than I should have. In hindsight, there are a lot of songs I wish I would have given a bit more nurturing. Really hope you like the track! I hope you know what a miracle each and every one of you are to me. Growing up, everyone spoke about music as if it were only a hobby. I was so embarrassed to say it was the only career path I wanted to take. I wake everyday to the best possible life God could have given me with the only job I ever wanted. That's thanks to each and every one of you. Love you all. Owe you all absolutely everything.
You know Nathan, you truly truly inspire me to do better and raise the mark. This year in college, I hit a new record at a large distance to all my fellow students in my gardening class. The leader would actually cheat in the test, and it wasn't until my teacher and the head of gardening watched him and me very carefully. This year, I've passed 8 tests and 5 competitions, and I actually got given a reward from the head of gardening for taking the lead on the board. Through the times that have been hard for me both mentally and physically and also listening to your songs, it's just taught me to never give up and chase your dreams. I am very soon on my 3rd and final year in college, and being a lover of cars also, I've been asked if I would like to work for Mercedes. Your songs have helped me stay focused in my lessons at college, and I just want to say a massive thank you. 😊

This is a glorious masterpiece that truly depicts the horror of being chronically online and so stuck in social media that you begin to forget yourself and the life you're meant to live. The one you WERE meant to live. I'm assuming that's the message, but regardless that's what I hear listening to it and I really really love it. I think it's a truly important message in today's society. It's one of the newest and most dangerous problems after all. An AI plague, so to speak. That's why it's death by A.I.
You always have the keen ability of bringing forth such compelling emotion in you're voice alone. The way you express a somber depth to your lyrics is a rare and powerful skill that many artists lack today. This song really expressed the truthfulness of what modern technology is. 4:18 This part and foward hits very hard to me. I don't know how to explain it propely, but it's kinda how the world have been looking like to me when growing up. Everything started to look so hollow, the way we mindlessly overconsume pieces of art with no soul, the way we easily bind our beliefs in whatever shit is the first convenient thing come in our minds, our shallow and close-minded way of thinking, the way we talk about obvious things like it is the deepest thing in this world, just for the good aesthetic of it. This world looks like a souless place with good aesthetics to cover the surface. Maybe we are the AIs here, just acting with no actual thought behind it I know this is not entirely related to the music's theme, but i wanted to point that out anyway

Aside from being an incredible song, this prequel gives a lot of context and character to the rebel in Destroy the Simulation. I love how these songs tell stories that sometimes go beyond just that one song. So glad I found this channel a while ago, I actually found it through Destroy the Simulation just when I needed it most. I haven't improved a lot since then, but man am I trying now. The prequel we didn't know we needed! I love how subtly "off" it feels, like an Alice in Wonderland or Silent Hill, but everything is off internally rather than externally. I love the cadence of the parts where you "stretch" the first word and "squish" the rest of the sentence (0:19-0:35, 0:50-1:04, and 2:01-2:15). As usual your vocals are incredible, especially those high notes! I was trying to pick a favorite part but I couldn't, there's too many good sections! Be sure to put out music at whatever pace suits you best, if there's a long gap it just means I have more time to listen to your older songs again. (Was listening to Friendless again, I can't believe I forgot how good it is!)
Your songs are an inspiration for many, including myself who fight with inner battles. Aside from being an incredible song, this prequel gives a lot of context and character to the rebel in Destroy the Simulation. I love how these songs tell stories that sometimes go beyond just that one song. So glad I found this channel a while ago, I actually found it through Destroy the Simulation just when I needed it most. I haven't improved a lot since then, but man am I trying now. God blessed me with this music for sure.

The prequel we didn't know we needed! I love how subtly "off" it feels, like an Alice in Wonderland or Silent Hill, but everything is off internally rather than externally.
I love the cadence of the parts where you "stretch" the first word and "squish" the rest of the sentence (0:19-0:35, 0:50-1:04, and 2:01-2:15). As usual your vocals are incredible, especially those high notes! I was trying to pick a favorite part but I couldn't, there's too many good sections!
Be sure to put out music at whatever pace suits you best, if there's a long gap it just means I have more time to listen to your older songs again. (Was listening to Friendless again, I can't believe I forgot how good it is!)
