So this is a song about everyone's favorite time travelling Doctor told from the perspective of his companion, Derpy. I've been a fan of Doctor Who since 2005, and I've always found the idea of the companion leaving everything behind to be a fascinating subject. So it was only natural when the Derpy/Doctor concept arose to make an MLP/Doctor Who song hybrid.
Also, big announcement hidden down here in case you look: I'm working on my first Electronic EP album! I've always wanted to apply my type of songwriting to that type of music, so I'm excited to share it with you all. It'll be non-pony, but with the familiar style you've all come to expect from me. Stay tuned!

This song is my childhood, i took the time to learn it and sang it in the school talent show. Now im crying from nostalgia wishing i could go back to the good days
I think this is my favorite brony song. Period. I know it was inspired by Doctor Who but without that context it really just reads to me like a song about the bittersweetness of change, and the acceptance thereof. I really love this. Even 7 years later.

This takes me back to a time where my anxiety never was there or grew. This is what I call a masterpiece. It reminds me of good times and being with my family and friends. This mostly reminds me of how much I love my twin sister. I listen to this song everyday, because it’s my happy song. One day, I’ll show everyone about me and who I am. My relationship with this song is personal, i loved it so much that i decided to learn it by ear on the piano and i performed it as part of my music performance diploma in the final exams, but after that my life got so busy that this song just faded from my memory, even the lyrics

This song is on constant repeat on my phone. I had no idea it was originally a Dr. Who song, and though I personally haven't watched the show, the feeling and tone of the song is spot on. I am very impressed and I hope you continue to make high quality videos such as this one.

damn, havent heard this since 2015 (i first found it in 2014, during the time I Was still heavily in the mlp fandom). The memories with this one are ones i havent thought about for a long time. the lyrics of this song and its overall atmosphere didn't occur to me back then, but right now as im listening to this for the first time in a while.. its like damn. never realized how applicable this song was to a certain thing in life, that is now not around anymore.

This song made for a pretty grand opening for a new chapter of my life. This was a song that echoed in my head while there was a girl that I couldn't fall in love with stuck to my mind. I avoided her, tried to hide her, tried to force her out of my thoughts. Everything I tried, she showed up elsewhere.she literally became a singer in the band I was starting to follow on the road, while I was trying to forget her. So, I gave in, and with hardly a chance to even say goodbye to anyone, fell right in step with her. It's been an extremely grand adventure ever since and I've been chasing dreams for months... Thank you for writing a little piece of something that always put her back in my head every time I heard this.

Ngl this song holds an….interesting place with me now, it was the song that was playing the evening I got in a wreck so every time I hear it, I’m unsure how to feel. The harmful problem of big amount of people is that they think changing is a one "shot". The song itself is quite beautiful, the piano work in particular is quite impressive. Great work, Metajoker.
That said... I have a pet peeve where shows or movies that get more credit than I feel they deserve really anger me. And I've had so many people tell that Dr. Who is the best thing when I watched some and found it okay. Not at all your fault, but there's a small bit of irritation at what the song is actually about, especially since it's a crossover.
While I definitely would agree that both Doctor Who and My Little Pony have a lot of issues sometimes, I personally find that to be the most fun part of making these songs; to explore ideas and concepts that the shows either only touch on or don't really go into at all. I think in some ways the idea a story gives you is more important than the show itself. I mean, look at all the crazy amazing things the communities for both shows have created. I feel like even if the shows were terrible, the fact that they created so much inspiration speaks a lot more than the episode to episode quality.

Edit: To elaborate, I don't disagree with any of what you're saying, but the true subject matter of the song feels, to me, arbitrary. Regardless, excellent song.
I feel like that's a very biased pet peeve because I'm sure there are some shows/books/media that you like that other people think are overexposed. It's just a fact of life that not everyone will enjoy what other people like, which is why there are so many generas and levels of fandom. Doctor Who, and MLP happen to have a very dedicated following.
A show simply becoming popular shouldn't anger you since it's not you who has to enjoy it. That's the same reasoning that people have against gay marriage.
