Great tutorial as always. If I am planning to produce sugar, would you recommend sugar beets or sugar cane? I know sugarcane takes longer to harvest but, regardless of that, which one?
I would recommend beets. I harvested like 2/3 of the entire map of elm creek. I had about 1.4 million liters of beets from the 4 fields I had The sugar mill holds 360,000 liters each of all 3 (cane. Beets and chopped) I put 300k of both beets and chopped. My mill is totally filled, so is the bakery AND the dairy. The bio gas holds 36k chopped
I haven't done sugarbeets , but how I plant my crops: 1 Lime (every 3 years), 2 plow, 3 Oilseed + fertiliser, 4 Cultivate, 5 Seedcrop + fertiliser, 6 rolling , 7 weeds removal, and 8 harvest. Is that the best way or how should I do it better ? Thx for the answer !
Mmm Oilseed + fertalizer is overdoing it as oilseed works as fertalizer to. Your list would be fertalizing 3 times. Also you generally dont need to plow everytime. Just once every 3 harvest (or with root crops) I use this list. Lime/plowing needed. 1 lime 2 fertalize 3 mulch 4 plow (and rock pick) 5 seed/plant 6 roll 7 fertalize. When cultivating/seeding is needed. 1 fertalize 2 mulch 3 cultivate 4 seed/plant 5 roll 6 fertalize 7 weed.
Video idea. Field prep and crop care steps and variations you can take with everything turned on to get the max yeld for each crop. At the moment there are so many implements in the game that do various functions and in some cases more than one, but the labeling in the game is awful.
When i harvest Sugar Beets it leaves that green harvested look behind. That’s fine but it never goes away and when i use my Kinze 4905 Blue Drive (Planter with no cultivation or plowing) it still leaves that green film stuff. Field still works and does so properly but even using a plow won’t get rid of it.
Isn't the big sugar beet harvester only 3m wide? If it is, I'm glad I watched this video. Everytime I start a game with beets, I use that half a million machine. But now, I'm feeling that I'd be better off getting the foliage cutter and harvester trailer. I gotta get a tractor anyways, and they're just gonna be sitting when I'm not harvesting. Thanks a lot!
Now that they fixed the price charts, you should be able to follow them to get the best pricing by month for when to sell. You might need to go through a full year to find out for sure though.
We just started our first game by farming sugar beets and it was a financial catastrophe. Only 2k earned for whole field. Ridiculously low price. Gotta restart the game and start with something else for money haha
Hi, I ran into some problems with unloading all-in-1 big guy. I get a contract and lease all tools. When a machive was full I cant unload into the trailer. I tried difeen positions and moving the belt with mouse - no succes. Can someone help me?
@@FarmerCop Great answer. All in one. I knew of the two mods but didn't know specifics. I will look them up and study. Editing the XML is simple, too. (I finally upgraded my PC to be enough to play...so...I'm in!)
You should do fertilizer once before you plant and once after plant - that way on the same day/month you can do both fertilisations

Great tutorial FC. One thing to mention at 5:00 is to open the covers first to fill the planter.
They open automatically when filling the planter up. (opening the cover manually is just for immersion)

Thats a glitch of some kind, peobably will remain unless you start a new save

sugar beets are one of the most profitable crops... not sure what you did wrong, maybe sell it at the right time?

Just restart the process or plant a different crop

The big trailer pulled by the semi dosent support sugar beets. Idk why its the one included in the lease
