My daughter and I watched this movie together and we Laughed during the entire movie❣️ Except when Bubba died, Lt Dan in the hospital and when Jenny died and Forest cried at her grave. There may have been other scenes but those are the ones that stand out. Now I’ve watched it so many times that I recite the dialogue LOL‼️

One of the benches used in the film is located on the fourth tee box on the Davis Love golf course on Fripp Island, SC. This is the golf course they used to film the war portion of the film. The golf course was also the filming location for The Jungle Book.

Here I figured it was Hugh Jackman courtesy of his voicing Memphis in Happy Feet because I remember the Forrest Gump Elvis sounding like Elvis. Humping is when you're face down in the dirt. George Wallace really did try to prevent blacks from enrolling in the University of Alabama though, so the scene is accurate. I always figured the feather was supposed to be Jenny.

Tom wasn't just shrewd in taking a percentage, but generous as well. You see, if the movie flopped, so did he. But it also insured the other actors and crew got paid a normal salary, and money wasn't spent on paying his actual salary of say.... $12M. That money could be invested in other interests toward making the film. Hey, he has enough money anyhow, right? It ended up being one of the greatest movies ever, so he probably earned 3X what he might have. And the movie's take probably didn't suffer either due to it's success.
