Never in a million years did I ever think I'd hear the Final Fantasy 9 battle theme played live.
Fucking 8:11 man, I swear!
I even teared up a little bit, I love that Final Fantasy :')
Hearing FF9's battle theme live is like a dream come true.

I never realized how good the first battle theme for Final Fantasy was. I would love to go to Distant Worlds, maybe in 2017 or 2018.

FFXI Shadowlord Theme was amazing

Listening to this made me have goosebumps. I cant imagine what I would feel if I was there in person. The FEELS!
I was there and all I can say was that there was all hype for all the songs! Much love to orchestra for a well put show!!!!!

ff VIII part is epic
I went and saw Distant Worlds in Cleveland this weekend and they only played a about a fifth of this as the Battle Medley. Shame because this was amazing.
Decisive Battle from FFVI and Those Who Fight from VII, played so beautifully.
VIII... What have they done to you!?!?! Why did they nerf the battle theme? It was the right melody but it was the only theme where they took the power out of the music....
+RHCowboy Well it is a 15 minute piece. It would be kinda tiring to play the fast epic battle themes for that long so I guess the conductor arranged the halfway point for a rest.
Because they already arranged that song in its entirety for their first album!

The 3 boss theme triggered my fight or flight response bc I've had so many close calls to this music
God, this was fantastic! I always had a smile on my face when I recognized all these tracks and remembered all the emotions experienced through these games :'D Wish I could've been there sooo badly!
Going to visit Distant Worlds in Paris next year, I hope they'll perform this medley there too! :D

Listening to this... the themes lost luster after FFXI. The later themes just all felt very vanilla.

This is Battle Medley FF1-13. There's no FF14 battle music present.
ff6 decisive battle is the best.
Man every battle theme is pretty awesome, now they need to do boss themes, which to me ff2 has the most interesting one.

Of the ones that I know are boss themes (or close to final boss themes), 6, 8, 10, and 11, are pretty much boss themes or final boss themes.

Yeah, they don't treat it with respect like a real concert. It's totally different to the Japanese audience in Distant Worlds Returning Home concert.
Jack Koo The truth is; this was the same exact day FFVII Remake had been announced. I was there myself, and you could genuinely feel a transcending connection between all the fans of Final Fantasy. But yes, I do agree that usually it would be very respectful to wait till the very end to applaud and cheer.
VI was the old FF team's swan song. VII was a decent retread with a terrible aesthetic.

It bothers me that some weren't the battle themes, but instead the boss themes, like in FFIII and FFVI
They completely ripped away the battle themes from VIII, X, and XIV.
FFXIV has some of the most emotion driven battle themes, they could have finished it off with a bang.
Is there an album of this in HQ?
