why do the engines "stutter"? they sound very lean
Top fuel they actually run very rich, and thats the idle control, for whatever reason it burps it up and down, all alcohol / top fuel i've seen do it
@Ashley: Because Nitroburners ignition sometimes self, they call it "dieseln" But Nitromethan is the "STUFF" , little bit more nitro to the methanol= 50 hp more! Tom

The Japanese Pro Stock bikes are faster than the Top Fuel Harley's! An inline 4 cylinder beats the V-twin every time.

I like the inline Japanese fours. Harley has many many advantages and restrictions with all other types of motorcycle drag racing but the top fuel class does not honor those restrictions....Larry ‘spiderman’ McBride is the man!! Keep our sport going fellas. MC drag racing 4 EVA!!
Rick Taylor maybe because v-twins have 2 pistons and inline 4’s have 4? DUH. of course a 4 cyl. engine is gonna out perform a 2 cyl
u guys can knock harley’s all u want but they’re holdin their own and they’re all just 2 cyl engins. Not bad for a motor half the size as a rice burner motor. The cc’s might be close or the same but 4 pistons adding to the power stroke on the crank is much more powerful than just 2

If you're whining about only having two cylinders. Ditch that obsolete V-twin, and get an inline four. The Harley's are allowed 2500 cc. The inline fours are limited to 1575 cc.
Plus have to carry an additional 30 lbs. Doesn't seem fair to me. When it comes to the Harley's. You can make a thoroughbred out of an old plow horse.
Btw, FYI the stock tire, no wheelie bar inline four turbos are quicker and faster than the Top Fuel Harley's.
Rick Taylor Check out the “top fuel harleys” in sweden, they’re as fast as the top fuel suzukis.
Rick Taylor In Sweden top fuel Suzuki record = 5.7xx, while top fuel Harley record = 5.8xx with parachute out in the 1/8. Top Fuel Harleys in the US are slow af.
Rick Taylor Btw Im talking 1/4 times, I said 1/8 because the Harley released its parachute accidentally at that distance, but still got a 5.8xx quarter mile.

We agree! Some kid knocked the camera off a table at this event and the stabilization was just floating around on us,. We apologize! If you watch some of our other event you will see we the videos aren't normally like this!
