Thank you Dr. Sam. I come back to your Lymphatic System video after 3 years and find it just refreshing! My comprehension about cancer has further deepened. Invaluable content!
My favorite teacher. I started loving anatomy module more when I started watching your every best anp video..thank you so much..it's a motivating platform..don't leave this profession sir .I really love it in my medical field..thank you
Fantastic as always! You are a VERY good teacher. I wish you made anatomy videos for the different regions of the body like the head and neck, upper limb, lower limb etc. It would help everyone tremendously! I have regional anatomy this semester and your videos are very helpful . 😊🌹
+Mohammed Nomaan Ahmed Arsalaan Thanks. If I made a video about a region it would be hours and hours in length. Eventually maybe my collection of videos will cover everything!
A simple way to view it is the lymphatic system is our sewage system. It also constitutes 2/3 of the total fluid in our body so that should give one an indication of how much metabolic waste we generate and how much resources are allocated to deal with it. Eating water rich raw plant foods are the best way to keep it clean…
Great stuff....learned more here in this short presentation, then in 4 years of college. This is important stuff for RN's/MD's, etc. as well as all of us. Especially Post CoVid scenarios and post inoculations.
It’s good to hear the conditions that can happen within the system gives you a better understanding of what’s happening to the body and why I really enjoyed listening to and watch this video I didn’t know much until know on lympthatic
On ePLND during my prostatectomy, one small 3mm node was found with 1mm of cancer. After seeing several videos indicating the probable location of cancerous nodes, I asked for 45 Greys of nodal radiation from obturator through para-aortic. After seeing this video I now understand why it is important to treat all the nodes through the para-aortic, since the prostate drains through multiple nodal groups and paths, but also eventually upward through the para-aortic. Wonderful explanation; thank you so much.
Your initial explaination of the Lymphatic system has explained something I witnessed when I was a scrub nurse in Trauma theatre. An IV infusion had tissuesed and hadn’t been spotted until the skin in the upper arm ruptured and the clear fluids ran out of the wound. Everyone was utterly amazed as no one had ever witnessed something like this before and having spent 25 years as a registered nurse in the operating theatre I never heard of it happening again thankfully.
Thanks a ton doctor! Your explamations are very understandable from a layman perspective. My understanding is that lymph nodes filter out debris and bacteria from the lymph that is flowing through them and then this filtered lymph then can go back into the blood stream. My question is how is this debris that collects in the nodes removed from them and then from the body?
So am confused, wen they suggest lymphatic drainage massage , wouldn't it risk d tumor cells to spread more? Or is it only particular kind of tumors? Thanks
sir , what will be the reason for continuos lympnodes under my left armpit ... if i get broken and cured the other one is again starting to come ...with a swelling nerves coming outside of my skin
Tonsils are said to store info about pathogens which have entered through the mouth and send the info throughout the immune system. It's apparently why babies want to put everything in their mouths. It's an important part of the immune system building process and continues throughout life. So removing them is a really stupid idea.
I didn't realise it before this video but it appears I am becoming very well informed about our lymphatic system, as a pioneer, an adventurer, whose experiences of his own lymphatic system will be the starting gate for understanding it deeply. Lymph is also a lubricating fluid for our joints where it enters our bone marrow and it travels along a path in a cyclical way that ensures every portion of the inner body is refreshed...but, as we know, it can all go very wrong...ps...this is another reason we need to avoid an arthritic menubrium which develops from a very early age,
Sam, your videos are so entertaining... and educational. Curious about Lymphangiomas and lymphoceles. I just had a very large capsule (not sure what they decided to call it) drained from my abdomen (I have never had surgery). It was retroperitoneal. However, the drain was about 13cm to the left of my belly button, but when they pulled out the tube (collection still visible, but reduced and not draining), it felt like they pulled out my uterus and the lymphatic vessels in my left hip (literally) :-) One week later and I frequently feel like I have the worst 'period pain' ever! Any ideas? :) The doctor said no other patient had ever experienced such pain.
Need more info on reintroduction of lymph into the circulatory. Its probably not named lymph when its its reintroduced. Blood ph super important What is lymph ph
It feels clearly that besides the spleen, the lymphatic system is a very poorly studied thing till these days. Almost humanly impossible subject to discover.
Thank you for sharing your videos! They are such a refresher course with a visual. I am massage therapist and exercise trainer that focuses on whole health and well-being!
thank you. One quick question: "How does one get certified to become an Anatomist Teacher?" Do you go to medical school? I'm very interested to know how. I've always loved anatomy.
I never skip the Advertisement comes with your videos because you deserve rewards from google for spreading knowledge for free.
He gets the money regardless of whether you skip the ad or not. Isn't it how it works?
@ Well, I don't.
Thank you Dr. Sam. I come back to your Lymphatic System video after 3 years and find it just refreshing! My comprehension about cancer has further deepened. Invaluable content!
Dr. Sam, the service you are rendering is immense. Please keep posting videos. Thank you very much sir.
I am just an anatomy enthusiast, not a medical student, and I love your videos. Thank you very much
I have an Animal Biology test and I am struggling on the Lymphatic system, as I write this, this is still very helpful even in 2021! Thank you!!
Always found the lymphatic system to be the most fascinating. It's like this ghost or background system that seems mysterious but is essential
“Spleen is a lovely organ!” Only Sam could say that with any kind of gravitas!

It is so important and most Dr's never talk about it! This is great thank you!

B cell are named so bcos of bursa .. not bcos they are made in bone marrow.. haha.. that's the reason why I watch your videos...
i dont understand how lymph is drained in an upward direction...doesnt 'draining' imply a downward direction?
Your videos are very educational, I appreciate them very much! Regards.
Thank you soo much! You are a legend ❤️✨
Just came across this video. Thank you so much. I love to listen to anyone that trains in this system of the body. Thank you Sam.
Do lymph nodes repair as a reconstruction to 100% after clinical intervention?
i view it as a total surrender to give knowledge. live long for mankind

Great video--so, does the ascending lymphatic duct pass posterior to the descending aorta? If so, at which thoracic level?
