They're an excellent band. I don't know why I don't listen to them more often. You talked about hearing things - I think you're probably right - but something that I can't help hearing whenever I listen to this song, and each time it's completely unexpected, hits me like a sledgehammer and then makes me laugh. The bit from 2:28 - 2:36 (time stamps in your reaction video) always makes me think of My Way, probably Frank Sinatra's most famous song. It's just a similar descending chord pattern and vocal melody to the verses of that song for less than 10 seconds, and then it goes back to being a completely unrelated anime-metal song again!
It's certainly not bad, I enjoyed it for the most part although the singing is a bit much for me and while I enjoyed the drums, I am not convinced they are real drums and not a drummachine. Nothing wrong with that necessarily, but it stuck out to me for some reason. The vocals are without question my least favourite part of this as they are slightly whiny for my taste and just not my favourite style. Not bad though, I am pretty sure Ave Mujica works the best for me for all the Bang Dream artists I have heard.
