- The first truck that I shot during this years truck show was also the last to close the show for me. It is JDT Trucking's stunning 1979 Kenworth W900A with a Detroit Diesel 12V71TT to motivate it and supply the tunes at the same time. Sure, she's not a working truck anymore, but what a tribute to the art of show truck building and attention to detail. The chrome bill alone must have been fearsome, but world class art is quite often a wealthy person's domain, and lots of hard work and millions of hard driven miles brought the well deserved wealth to be displayed as art.
This was at the Truckin' For Kids Truck Show in Irwindale, California on Saturday and Sunday September 28th and 29th, 2019.
What a beautiful truck, superior eye for detail, fit & finish! Absolutely stunning
Makes me want to come out of retirement, drove for 49 years best job you could ever want.
That's right Sandy, Driving large cars, nothing like it, I'm almost 70 and don't drive OTR anymore, I miss it like you miss the love of your life, now I drive and 22 year old best up Silverado and a garden tractor to plow my garden, but my heart flutters when I go down the highway and those trucks come by o roll the window down and listen and imagine being back in that air ride seat, floating those gears, the wife laughs at me, but that's ok, I love Trucks , what can I say.
Beautiful truck! Even the engine fan was decorated with detail. 👀
Nothing left untouched. A beautiful truck indeed.
That’s something to be proud of for sure. Excellent build.
What an incredible truck ,the detail is WOW!
I couldn't agree more.
Oh perfection on wheels....buzzin dozen sounds fantastic.and all that chrome in the engine bay....real sweet.lad with the hat is there again🤣
I knew this truck would curl some truck nuts toes. It sure had a lot of eye and ear candy. And I just can't shake that dude with the hat. 🤠👍
Jdt & his Dad ALWAYS make AMAZINGLY AWESOME LARGECARS!!!#🏆👑😎💎
that attention to detail is stunning ;;;
That is so nice! I love the sound of the 12v detroit. Nothing like that two stroke diesel and especially a 12 cylinder! What a great effort! I'd love to hear that thing rip through the gears once..
That is the BADDEST A model I have ever seen! Great work.
Ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch, OUCH! Decaled even on the back side of the fan blades! Reminds me of the 'B'- model and the 9500 long nose and the TS-24 and the R-35! ALL V-12's! And the 9500 pumping out 730 horses to the ground. Well, Scotty that I saw in a fuel tank, I'd have started and ended with a 2-cycle myself. Thanks, Buddy! This capped out a perfect day! And Thanks to Mel likewise.
Thank you very much Lewie! I'm glad you had a perfect day and thank you for the kind words. May many more perfect days lie ahead for you and yours.
@@espeescotty Likewise, my Friend.
To you and Mel as well! BUNCHES, thereof!
Wow what a beautiful truck and the engine is immaculate
Mint. Trucks you guys Duda hell O’Fallon job. Building these trucks the look great
Gorgeous Absolutely Gorgeous 79. ☝️👍👍👍👊
Ed and Jamie absolutely killed it

1979 was a great year
@Mark Mace plus the world was blessed with my presence
Very Very Beautiful truck and Amazing job detailing engine!👍👍👍
I wash they have school busses shows now that will be totally awesome .. but 1979 Kenworth w900a Detroit diesel now that is totally awesome video
I'm still driving my 1979 359 Pete my Pop left me 8v92 in her,. Also have the 1959 needlenose Pete 262 Cummins 5 speed main 4 speed auxillary There is nothing out there today that will ever compare to the pride and craftsmanship of them ole trucks!
Wow beautiful so much time and money in that truck
Hope to see this running up and down the highways some day.
Why? It's a high dollar show rig, not a shitty fleet truck waiting for swift to tear its hood off at the Pilot.
Priceless!!! Kid, you racing This? Guy! Nope, Kid, is this Your's, Nope..😎
Love the truck but have to be honest ..camera angle is everything and how long you spend with the engine in frame so your viewers can Appreciate the shear size and scope of the Buzzing Dozen. Well you missed your chance...
Meu deus que coisa mais linda
Yes sir, it sure is. 👍
Noe that's what a truck should sound like.
Beautiful!
Triple 👍👍👍 ups bro good job filming that very nice truck but all their trucks are bad ass
Thank you and I totally agree about their rigs!
"Beautiful "
OUTSTANDING 💓💓💓👍👍👍
The engine bay has more plumbing than a cruise ship!
I love how the underside of the hood, the fan blades, the damn filler panels behind the bumper for God's sake, are all pinstriped, and there ain't any on the exterior of the truck!!! What a cool absolutely useless piece of detailing!!!! I'm not usually a chromed out engine kinda guy,but that buzzin dozen is plain beautiful!! What an amazing truck!
I'm surprised they ever fire the engine! That's a lot of chrome to worry about heat bluing! Maybe nickel plated,it takes heat better. Anyway that's an absolutely beautiful truck!
i went to diesel and heavy equipment trade school in the early 80's all mechanical engines back then
This is beautiful!!!!!! Soooooooooooo much money!!!!! I'd gladly give both NUT'S to have this!!!!!!! Getter done!!!
Good to see that it has a Browny
WOW !!!! Beautiful Truck
Beautiful tractor! What are the horsepower and torque ratings and how many gears?
There seems to be a lot of wasted space between the sleeper and 5th wheel. The sleeper could have been extended and made room for some amenities.
it's a show truck moron, not an OTR truck
whats the racket in the background
Unfortunately this truck was setup near some vendors and the awards ceremony stage, so there were a few generators running very nearby. But, I feel lucky that I was able to get that 12-hole Deeetroit running earlier in the weekend. And now let me just say that I feel honored that Jpaydirt, Mr Jeff Anderson himself has seen and commented on one of my videos! I watch all of your videos and have been one of your "awesome" subscribers for 6 or 7 years at least. Thank you for watching!
I worked 3 days a week ,Thursday and Friday my truck looked like this cleaned
Nice unit
clean ass rig,
I wonder how much horsepower that Detroit Diesel is putting out it sounds like 1000 horsepower or more
950
Awesome yes, but can it go over some speed bumps?
Seas barvaro que lindo camion con detroit para my detroit esta a la banguardia muy bueno yo tube serie 60 12.7 exajerado
Curious what kinda power numbers it makes
I'd sure like to know too, but unfortunately, I'm not the guy with that knowledge.
950
How much is this rig worth?
Damn nice rig!
Cummins killer
Good job camera man
Thank you!
Far to powerful, you are a very naughty boy
Крайне охерительный цвет!
Art work
What's the horsepower on this motor?
279
@@ninorcsinned3465, what, you're on crack. It's 950.
Truck would been nicer if hadnt painted the steps and tanks.. The polish aluminium would have blended well with the engine chrome..
It's just a matter of personal taste, but I like the chromed and polished pieces on the steps and tanks the way it is now...Looks great from any perspective...
WOW
Who can dislike this probably thinks buzzen dozen is the 12 joint's they rolled
It's just a pity it doesn't work anymore. What a sight and sound to see on the road.
Nice truck just hate to point out that the slip joint is in backwards
와~~~쥑인다 트럭.
sporting a big ole wing ding
Big Ed!!!!
👍😎👍 9/15/24
😎👍👍
These detroits were ok,they sounded good but i never came across any my KT motor couldnt out pull and my kt motor didnt leave puddles of oil everywere two strokes were bad at dripping oil
explain how theres no pudel of oil under this one?
*sees video of unloading* oh thats why
because its not used
but still the sound is what its about
It wouldn't out pull this twin turbo v12
@@andrewking9761 ill bet it would i ran cattle in the 70s and 80s the guys i ran with had twin turbo V12s they were fast but on a dtraight steep pull i could pass and pull away they kept there trucks hopped up ,they dont have any nowdays and i sold my pete with the KT in 1983 i had about a million miles on it the guys with the V12s they all got wrecked 1 ot a time over the years i lost a good friend in one he was in the bunk his 2nd fell asleep killed them both 3 weeks before he was due to retire
@@dewaynemiguel3349 Thankyou for a quick response. I was a being a smartarse to see what you would come up with in return. I remember reading and looking at pictures of the K-series Cummins when I was about 10 in the ''Overdrive'' truck magazine in the late 1970s. Considering they're such a big engine they seemed to fit in okay in a W model Kenworth. It's weird the KT 450 or KTA 525 (the latest version being a QSK19) was 18 litres of inline 6 turbo diesel and the 12V71T 14litres of V12. They're a bit like formula one engines lot's of pistons and a smaller displacement compared to a V8 etc. Sorry to hear about your friends death. My brother died 12 years ago, a similar situation he fell a sleep and from what the police said at the time he realized that then woke up heading towards the trees overcorrected and landed on it's side. It was a Scania 8wheeler rigid one of the safest trucks in the world they reckon. Anyway he got stuck with the seat belt around the neck couldn't get out and choked. He's in a better place now. My father was a semi-driver and I basically grew up around trucks it was unavoidable. Very impressive power from that Cummins maybe time for another one, like a 262 in an old Pete or something.
@@andrewking9761 its ok,,when i first started hauling cattle i bought a new 1975 freightliner with a 350 cummins my friends V12s would leave me in the dust so in 1978 i bought a new pete with the KT600 but i told my friends it was a 350 i would leave them behind they would complain to there boss about a 350 out running them theyd tune up there detroits id still out run them till i was washing my truck my friend came by looked at it said that aint a 350 its a damn train enguine lol we had a good laugh less then a year later is when he got killed,,a new guy nobody wanted to team with they said he was a sleepy head ,he said hed run with him.On I5 you can still see the black on the overpass from the fire were they hit.
surprised theres not 6 galons of oil under it and all over the engine bay
18 dislikes from jealous dweebs.
I love the tractor....I'm only disappointed about the fabric finish on the interior. The carpet looks sloppy on the edges and the headliner buttons are not symmetrical...other than that...great project
it's diamond pattern of the headliner
Half Peterbilt half Kenworth oh and by the way the drivelines in backwards duh hello I guess whatever turns you crank
Fucking waterhead, did your parents have any children that survived?
Big noisy turd!
🤡
