Wanted to tell you thank you. Awesome videos. My son's team used the goalie drill and they loved it. We saw instant improvement. The kids were competitive and didn't want anything to get through. Great job coach.
Unsolicited advice, so take it FWIW. Other than basic hitting mechanics, one of the most important things hitters can learn is to “turn the page.” Have a short memory. It’s definitely a challenging thing for the human psyche, but if your child is thinking about previous at bats it’s hard for him to focus on his current AB. Once he manages to slap one out there he will have fun again & confidence will soar.
Thanks, my son just turned 8, hell of an outfielder in Allstars and travel ball, but now we are back to park ball he has to be my shortstop. Good with stopping ground balls, but im a football coach, so I don’t pretend to know all the baseball fundies! Will def use these
Great video and great drills. My 12-yr old is still stopping to pick up ground balls and trying to get him to "move through the baseball" as he's making plays... the cones drill will help. Also, I agree with you just doing simple hand drills with the baseball just gets them more comfortable...
I played OF throughout HS and College, so I wasn't trained or taught how to play IF. However, my 6yr old son will benefit from me watching your video and doing these drills with him as he develops his skills. Thanks for taking the time and going to a baseball field and teaching everyone.
Not sure if you have done a video on this but how about one on proper foot and body positioning when receiving throws at 2nd or 3rd from different positions where a tag would need to be applied.
hey justin, nice video, just curious, the right left tap tap seems like it would create a bad habit of flipping glove and showing backside of glove during fielding approach,, have u had any problems with this creating a bad habit in younger players, thanks
My boys are having a difficult time turning the mitt the proper way in order to catch balls that are coming at them (eg. Firstbase) Are there any drills that will help with that?
I'm 13 and around this age is when pitching starts to speed up. Do you have any advice on how I can be more comfortable at the plate with a fast pitcher. Thanks!
+Cameron O'Connell Just slow everything down and start earlier! The pitcher supplies the power, not you. Don't try to speed up and swing harder just because he throws hard. Relax, start sooner!
Echan Blue??...this is Greg Stewart (West Marin LL) Is this the same kid who played with us a few years ago?? Are you in Japan?? Say hello to your dad, and hope everything is great with you and your family!!
Ultimate Baseball Training thanks for the response. My boys are 12 and 10 and have gotten so much better watching your videos. Next time you're in SoCal let me know. Would love for you to work with my boys. Checkout @toptiergamersbaseball on IG
what is the easiest position on the field? I'm trying out this year and barley have any experience but I'm wondering what position I should play. I was thinking of second base
+alberto adam Honestly none of them are "easy" as you progress through the levels of baseball, but outfield might be your best bet. Outfielders don't get as many balls hit their way as infielders do
We play 21 ... My sons balls consistently goes a little to the right lol not so far that it can't be caught. Theyre catchable right throws & he absolutely throws 3s but ... his balls go to the right much too often
Ultimate Baseball Training thanks for releasing that video of drills to work on fielding by yourself, its so hard to get fielding reps in when its winter and I never have a partner thats willing work with me unless I pay them lol. Appreciate it.
want to just say thank you i have implemented most of these drill into my 8u team and these boys have improved so much this season thanks

Love the series and the drills. How about one on overcoming a hitting slump? Thanks for the positivity and the intuitive way you teach the drills.
+Scott MIller I'll try to do that soon! Thanks for the support!!

Take the L screen on a field and step closer to homeplate. then have someone pitch closer and this will help your reaction.

Sorry I don’t see my comment so I will ask again, for a left hand thrower, will the player step left then right during your cone drill?
Yeah man! Footwork is the opposite of a right-handed player
Yes
Uh hu
My dad used the first one it’s good because I had a problem with stabbing at the ball so thanks
You're welcome!
Thanks for this video. I would also like a video that teachers players how to use their lower half in their swing to create more power
Needing help with my son pitching too high ... He also has a habit of batting the baseball near the handle
Thanks for another good video. Helping with some little league drills. Especially appreciate the agility kids don't seem to practice.
👍
Can You practice on Airball throws
Where do you get your swing man gear
+Lubens Odias I've had it for a while now. Most of the time just sporting goods stores but you can find some great stuff online!

👍👍👍👍
Is this drill the same for left handed players?
Just opposite footwork... so left, right catch... left, right throw!
Ultimate Baseball Training thank you!
