1:56 look how much scraping the pegs pushed you into the other lane, a little close to the barrier. Take the lesson, cherish it. We don't get many of those. Maybe there are slower but tighter corners where you can practice exactly knowing how far you can get the bike over, to work out the bike's maximum corner ability? In Britain we have RoSPA police motorcycling handbook guide. The police also bring us out for training, It's called Bikesafe. Teapot RUclipsr is an ex-police motorcycle instructor. He's got a 2 part video set about this. We split each lane into three, and practise writing in each of the three little divisions. I found this helped with me being able to pick and hold a line during the corner. It also meant I had more capability if the line changed that I could adjust and pick and hold a new line. They also teach distance observation skill. Where you look to the distance and say to yourself what all the different obstacles are, and what you notice. It teaches the brain to look ahead, be ready, and It means that you set yourself up for what's going to come. This really helped me to ride faster in a more relaxed way. ! I was no longer "keeping up" instead I was "ahead and ready". Personally I was a bit scared watching this video. The other guy is on an R1, which will have premium suspension, brakes, tires, and the chassis will be built for cornering fast. So many advantages. And he's going at his speed and you're trying to keep up. I'm sure you already know that riding in fast groups massively increases the risk of a serious accident and serious injury. I'm commenting but I'm not going to Like this video because I don't want to encourage this. I've lost guys I knew as well as seeing others end up with bad leg injuries and another guy is in a wheelchair. Roads are unforgiving at speed. Maybe try a track day, I used to do that. I was King of the slow group :-). I could overtake most, hardly ever got passed, so I could ride my ride without getting disturbed. But I did see some nasty crashes at the track. I used to ride to the track, and I liked that because it was almost an excuse I could use to hold back because I needed the bike to be rideable so I could get home. You do you, always. I like your videos, but not gonna like this one :-)
That road looks like a lot of fun and you rode it way faster than I'd be willing or able to ride it! Part of the reason I got rid of my Z900 is that I realized it's limits were so much higher than mine. Stay safe out there!
I have a z900rs, not quite as sporty as a z900, but I can scare myself real good just the same. But I do not have to push myself to that bike's limits to enjoy it. I may trade to a z900 se, not because it is faster, but because I like variety, and enjoy very much the super smooth drivetrain. Riders can reserve the upper performance limits of sporty bikes for accident avoidance.
Z900's do well even if they only run 36mm throttle bodies, The R1 has at least 45's as do most liter bikes. That's why Z's get up to 50 mpg. I talked to a guy with an MT10 and he says he's lucky to get 32. Z's are very fast even with this limitation. There's a YT channel called FULLGASS that shows Z900's outrunning all types of bikes at their dragstrip. Very impressive. You rode well .
Agree Parallel Finn...I have a 2023 Z-900 and wow what a machine. Still in the break in period. Excited to unleash the dragon. 300 more miles to go . The bike is no joke...straight up linear power and just so fun to ride 😎
@@jeffk3929 Modern bikes are very well engineered and so long as it isn't a sport bike with a 15-17k redline you're safe to ride it as you want even in the break-in period. Motorcyclist magazine's motorcycle garage tested this and even took a look at the internals of the engine rather than just a dyno test. Although, doesn't hurt to not redline it constantly during the break in. The video I'm referring to is called: Busting The Engine Break In Myth | MC Garage, if you're interested.
Both great bikes, I personally think any sports bike will smash any naked through these long sweeping bends however the nakeds dominate in most areas in tight twists etc around town
Question.. do you know if the z900 in either spec has a factory option for a quick shifter. The interwebs won't tell me and there's not a kawi dealer near me.
Looks like a blast along there but I’d prefer somewhere that has more technical cornering, perhaps windier & tighter. In Australia we have some great bike roads, only hazard being car drivers. Oxley Hey near Port Macquarie innBSW is one such road, I use to live mid week rides out there on my R1, I’d normally destroy a new tyre in less than 500kms …… great stuff 😂

Awesome to see what the Z900 is capable of. I recently purchased the 2023 model and just finished the run in period. Im absolutely loving this bike.
Same here :)

Got me leaning with u on almost every corner and looking stupid🤣. You rode like a champ, amazingly done bro.
Same af🤣🤣
Nice ride! That peg scrape at speed had me puckering
Great ride and nice roads! The z900 is no joke
Love it but my homies R1 is nuts

@@PantsuGod Thanks Pantsu, I will check it out. Ride safe my friend 😎
Sitting at my desk at work looking at my Z out the window and this just got me hype af to clock off lmao.
🔥🔥🔥
Dude I love those roads. Wish we had some like that here.
Where from?
Mega thumbs up for the footpeg.😂

awesome rip bro! i live out here now, hmu.
maaaan, i wish we had the same roads here in Lithuania.......

I’m 100% positive the standard Z900 does not come with one and 99% positive the SE model doesn’t come with one from the factory either…
I was thinking of putting some Z9 cams in my z900rs, to get 130HP
Going for one z900 gotta love that bike
Good job, don't think I'm ready to push mine to that extent though!!!
Thanks!
Ah yes the Yarnell run, one of my favorite rides.
Can't wait to get mine :0
This is a great vid bro!
How windy does it get? I’m torn between a 24 r6 and a 20 Z900
Nice riding brotha. Keep it smooth out there
Bro what mirror are you using for that z900??? I’m looking for a good mirror for mine
Me going home from work on friday 🤣👌
Unfortunately this is me on the way to work too 🤣🤣

i commute on my z900. makes going to work fun.
Same here like 50% of the time! I take the long way lol
Same here. 97 miles round trip almost every day. Just did around 900 miles round trip from williams az to san diego for the weekend.
The z900 got a lot to give for what it is lots bike for the money love mine.
What tyres?
Nice
Thumbs up
Mph?..In Mexico, right?
I am buying z900 as my first bike
It was my first bike too. Be careful they’re nuts. 2500 miles and it’s still scary.
Buy a safety reflective jacket and turn off the high beam.
Pushing the limits of a Z900 at around 100 km/hr is not the limit..
i'ts mph..
Mph but thanks for your opinion
imagine watching this and think, "yes, this is 60mph"
Plus, speed is all relative. Plenty of twisties out here are super tight and technical where 50mph is pushing it.
Jeeez u just failed AF lol
