- In Fallout New Vegas, GoodSprings is your starting location, meant to help the player start off on there adventure across the Mojave, and most likely never return to it after finishing the tutorial. But what if you played in such a way, to make GoodSprings a big part of your Journey? Can you best Fallout New Vegas, as a GoodSprings Enjoyer?

I was gonna complain about how the goodsprings citizens hate being under the NCR's darn taxes when it looked like you were going for that ending but I am glad that you corrected yourself like the goodsprings enjoyer you are to the right ending :)
I did sleep on it, and did a bit of research. I assumed they liked the NCR because "NCR good". But further chats with npc show, no, not at all.
Goodsprings chads rise up. Videos like these are actually super helpful for someone like me trying to remake the town with mod tools rn, getting to see the limits of how far it can be pushed. Been a fan for a while, keep up the good stuff.

I love the idea of only restocking in a certain location such as Goodsprings. Great way to limit yourself and force yourself to play in a different way than usual
Eh, I still sell a bunch of shit to Chet, and I use his dumpsters as storage. It’s definitely somewhere I go back to frequently.

Do other people not usually return to Goodsprings? Chet is like my go-to guy for selling all the crap from my journeys, and Ol’ Mole Butt always helps heal my radiation.
I never really mess with chet but i always returned to doc a bunch and would vibe out in the saloon if i was stressed

Goodsprings is my first stop on my selling spree followed by Novac, Camp McCarran, Gun Runners and Mitch and Dave’s.

A fallout run usung only one ammo type may be fun. It's less restrictive than a one-weapon challenge and would let you go about it with a few builds.

I love when you do these challenges. What are your thoughts about cyberpunk challenge runs and any tips for extra enjoyment?
I love doing Cyberpunk challenges, but sometimes I feel "Cyberpunked out" so to speak. It is a long game compared to other's I've done.
But if you're doing challenges for fun or for your own content, I say try and do as little cheese/rule changes as possible. Doing the challenge as "clean" as you can can always be fun, but if you want to use a mod to help things along (much like the cool AbrahamSandwich. For his weapon only runs, he will spawn in the weapon) feel free too! The challenge is meant to add a breath of fresh air, not just "make it harder"

8:20 instead of using the cheesy strategy, you could walk up the Black Mountain road and up through the pass in the hill (where the Nightkin send boulders down on you). This leads to the NCR Ranger safehouse, and then you’re home free.
That way you’re still going a fairly quick route to Vegas, avoid all dangerous enemies (just 1 big Indiana jones boulder), and it doesn’t feel like cheating
You can do the NCR ending to avoid getting the mark of Caesar. I think you can complete the game without getting a single quest item if you don't include the notes.

1:30 You could've done no quest items if you just did ncr route without visiting Benny. Just head to strip, visit house and as you leave ncr bozo will invite you to see crocker and then u can see him and do NCR story and never visit Tops or The Fort and never pick up platinum drip or other quest items
Only downside is, ofc, NCR being mean to goodsprings in the end xd
I felt kinda offended when man said people don’t go back after leaving the tutorial 😭 it’s my fave town and I always go back for the workshop (when I don’t have ed-e) and shop. But that’s also cause I visit the town a lot irl when I drive to Las Vegas hahahahah. But I guess I understand why others wouldn’t go back

i always go back to goodsprings, Mitchell is always my main doctor, i either sell to Chet or to the Novac guy if Chet doesnt have caps
I lived in Easy Pete's house on 4 out of my 6 new vegas runs. I started in the tops, but theres nothing quite as comfy as that house, and you only need one loading screen to be able to fast travel.

I know I'm late to this but if you wanted to use a weapon or pick up an item that wasn't in goodsprings you should have to manually carry it all the way back just to pick it up because then it would become property of goodsprings.
I've always turned Victor's house into mine
Now we need one for Skyrim and white run. Probably much easier as its Bigger but still.

I am very grateful and thankful for all this support. Getting closer to my dream means the world to me, but I will admit, it is hard to not gain an ego. I don't want this to change who I am, and I always wanna be me, and I wanna make sure the numbers don't control me. I know I'm going to start doing some of my old style along side this new niche that seems to be working for me tho! I very much like the old style, but I feel like to make it work now, I would need to merge it with this new style, as they are very familiar.
I think adding a script would help it as well, just like these new videos.

The explosive collar that is attached to you is *technically* not a quest item!
All quest items have 0 weight, this collar has a weight of 5 despite being impossible to take off
As i made a (sorta) melee run, only using pistols because "why not?", this section was easy using Maria and a sledge hammer.

Don't know if you used it but in victors shack in good springs there's a free weapon repair kit
Also is the recharger rifle any decent if you max out on intelligence and science/energy weapons? I always try to use it but it always never works too well for me
It's draw back is being a laser rifle in New Vegas, a game I personally feel has stronger Plasma weapons.
The issue with it's damage is armor. Armor absorbs so much of it's damage, while Plasma eats right though armor.
So it can be pretty alright with high ranks in energy weapons

I normally stay away from energy weapons but I think I might start an intelligence/sneak build tonight because I have tomorrow off work.any suggestions on what energy weapon I should strive for?
Do people not know that you'd get one of the packs depending on where you preordered the game from? Like you'd get the weathered 10mm pistol and the armored vault suit from preordering from gamestop or the tribal items from preordering from amazon?
If you can use the Energy Rigle out of the cave, you should have also used chances knife imo.
