True, many nurses are better than doctors, many nutritionists are better than doctors, many physical Therapiest are better than doctors many radiology technicians are better than doctors If you are well educated person and have diabetes for 40 years, you have a good chance to know many things better than doctors in diabetes. What make doctors doctors is , when things get wrong, everybody call the doctor.
I am a cyclist, usually dehydrated, taking naproxem and a potassium tablet twice daily. I will be making changes. My doctors never mentioned any of this. Thank you for this information.
Kidneys were at 35% stopped three medications after 6 months came back to 50%, doctor was astonished how did they get better, told him I stopped medications.
Glad you are headed in the right direction. It may still be a good idea that you let your doctor know you have stopped the meds if you haven't already done so. All the best.
My doctor put me on Glucophage and a couple of months later I got kidney stones, but I only put 2 and 2 together not long after I landed in the ER for a 2nd time but this time needing a stent. I'll never drink it again and warn people to check their kidneys if they're using it.
Is using meloxicam for 30 days dangerous? I've almost finished a 30 day bottle, but now I'm getting kidney stones. Is this related? I thought it took a long time for kidney stones to develop. Thanks for any answers.
I will highly recommend you discuss this with your doctor first. Depending on what stage you are with your kidney problem, it may or may not be a bad thing. All the best.
Hey dr. I was told I have H. pylori in my stool and E. Coli in my urinary tract and they want me to take Levofloxacin but that antibiotic causes liver failure. I never picked it up! I’ve also been having foamy urine for a year now but no protein was found in my urine culture. I bless God for you! What should I do? On Sunday I had burning sensation while urinating a minor blood but that went away on its own yesterday and pain on my right leg under my calf. I’m only 33 years old! What do you suggest I take sir! God bless you Sir!
I took a medication in the same family as the Levofloxacin you took. My Achilles’ tendon on the right and tendons in my elbow burned for a few weeks and it took months to go away and this was only after two pills. The pharmacist said i had a reaction to it as well as tendonopathy.
I have stage 3 Ckd and I'm suppose to take 3 blood pressure meds Amodipine, Metoprolol and linsipriril but i don't take the linisopril. I have to take it because my bp is way to high.
Hi Jae I too take amlodopine and lisinopril A new doctor commented on my low GFR and high Creatinine levels otherwise I never realised I had kidney issues I had always been told my blood works were fine apart from high cholestrol Most doctors don't mention Kidney issues until it is late Please get your kidneys checked you want to know your numbers Gfr and Creatinine vitamin D levels full blood count parathyroid thyroid liver health also Please see a renal dietian for the moment go easy on the meat fish dairy Please check your potassium and phosphorus levels also
Try the breathing machine that has been clinically proven to lower your bp without meds. Also if you have gum disease get it treated and lower your carbs. Make sure you also see a chiro if you have chronic back pain, your bp could be related to a spinal issue. Don't settle for what your dr says, investigate then cause for yourself.
Doctors are not knowledgeable, they only prescribe to take away the symptoms not to cure you. Did you notice they prescribe without asking or investigating about your overall health? You could be taking other drugs that may interact negatively with the new drug and could be fatal to you.
It depend to an individual who react differently to certain medicine,it just like allergies which different people will react differently to a certain type of foods.
My EGFR dropped from 85 to 61 in 3 months. I stopped all meds for blood pressure, thyroid, HRT. I'm three months my kidney function went back to 89! I have polycystic kidney and liver disease. Also taking dandelion pills and burdock root pills. My NAFLD went back to normal as well. Side effects from all BP meds were so terrible for me.
Losartan usually comes combined with HydroChlorothiazide…which is on the list, due to it can cause Dehydration…..drinking Lemon & Cucumber infused water helps dissolve kidney stones….
I take three meds for hypertension. I am prescribed the meds daily, however I miss days and over a week amounts to around 10 days. I drink 6 pints of water most days, if I don’t then I don’t take the meds. I’m assuming water flushes the meds through the system…
High Doses of BP Meds are Bad for Ur Kidneys,I replaced my BP low dose of BP meds with Potassium Pills Added to my Water. 10-20Meq s dropped my blood.pressure by 30-45%
The doctor's that's i went to both gave me wrong medication ibuprofen and antibiotics mean while i told them that i have symptoms of kidney failure now am on a worse condition😭.
Research shows 8 out of 10 CKD patients took losartan, that's why I stopped taking it, I have stage 3 CKD I only see my kidney Dr once a year and I take four medications for high blood pressure I'm about to find me another Dr.
@@rickeyyoung1030 That sounds scary. I can’t find the research that supports your claim. Personally, I got some pain in the kidney area when I take Losartan from a certain manufacturer (start with letter C).
All medications/beta blockers will if taken long enough. Not to mention severe anxiety disorders and I been on it for two years. If you take it to lower high blood pressure then you need to go the healthy route with nutritionist foods. Trust. I been on it and it was nothing pretty.
Anytime I can avoid taking a pill, that is usually my first choice. This is because the risks of side effects are generally lower for topical preparations relative to an oral preparation. So, personally, if the gel works, that will be my choice.
I took over the counter diuretics water retention and Aleve (nsaid) for pain for once day for 4 months straight. Is that considered too long of a duration?
I definitely wouldn’t take NSAIDs especially if you’re on a diuretic. I would say find a natural alternative turmeric, anti-inflammatory diet some thing besides pills.
Interestingly there are some studies out there that point to statins actually benefiting the kidneys. For statins. I’ll be more concerned about the liver.
Many pharmacists are better at medicines than doctors at a health center. Thanks

Is the ARB class of antihypertensives the safest group of medications regarding the renal system?

Tendonophaty like pain in your tricep you had from taking that antibiotic?
I’m on diruetic but my kidneys are fine only on it because my high bp will it mess my kidneys up?
What’s your thoughts on losartan and amlodipine?
Losartan has potassium...so be careful
I take Lisinopril HCT and Amlodipine and my back hurts so much where the kidneys are. However, my BP is so high I can't stop taking it.
I have stage 3 Ckd and I'm suppose to take 3 blood pressure meds Amodipine, Metoprolol and linsipriril but i don't take the linisopril. I have to take it because my bp is way to high.

Then what is the best HBP medication to take for people with ckd.
Why doesn't the medical field not know this? I don't get it.
