- It's hard to tell you what brand this is because you can find a lot of this exact same mouse from different companies but I decided to get this after seeing an advertisement on facebook. Its been years since I've tried one out so what better time than now to give it a go. I'll have a review in the coming weeks!

My left arm is paralyzed. I just ordered a used one of these on eBay to give it a try. I used to just use controllers for shooters but now I'm forced to match up with controller people lol. It's pretty cool to see a normal person with both hands point that out though. I'm hoping this mouse had the same effect on me with shooters that the Naga had on me for WoW back in the day. It instantly took me from being stuck as a solo quester to the highest ranked Unholy DK and Ret Paladin in 2v2 Arenas in NA for a brief moment. It's crazy the impact something like this can have on the right person.
Best comment 👌
Hey 👋🏼 i hope you are well , do you play games like arma 2 and 3 and squad etc... if so did you manage to gear up a controller to play those titles with ? Ive been struggling for over a year and am so fustrated about being unable to do so 🤬🤣🤣🤣
hi alpha, how did you mind this mouse product?
I'm just looking for something to try to replace the WSAD keys (fingers are fused) and this amazon mouse is still less then 28AUD vs 230 for the asus chakram.
cheers from shaun.
1:57 "Battery life indicator up top" (The mouse has a cord on it) Me: Oh it's going to be one of those reviews.
OMG! 😱 Don't listen him, that is not a battery life indicator it's a DPI indicator.
I would make sure about thing before shooting it. Ahhahaha 😅
so i guess the cord is for charging the battery, and its fixed to the mouse so u dont lose it HAHAHAHA. damn, ur comment made my day
Thanks for your review. I looked everywhere for top vertical mouse reviews and this one was never on there. It seemed they were all mostly reviewing for office use. THanks again you did great!
These things are craazzyy looking. So I was sitting there with my hand in the "vertical mouse" position. And it was so much more comfortable on my forearm than the position your hand and arm is usually in for a regular mouse. Looks cool
did u ever end up getting one?
Lol I was just doing the same thing and it feels so much better
Very helpful ty been waiting for a mouse like this for 15 years. Good I hope I like it.
same like me i used a mouse like this since about 15 years in a net café and found it very comfortable and I thought it would be available everywhere but tell now But for now I am looking for it
I have a big surface desk and I've moved mouse mat further back so I have much more free movement and less leaning on my arm with it being a vertical mouse. 100% definitely recommend this mouse!
u have problems
Thanks for the review 1 up Nerdcore! I too purchased this mouse a couple years back, its had some wear and tare, and been dropped many times, and still functions today! However not without some minor fixable issues. the first thing i noticed when i unboxed the item was that it felt great (the texture and size). great for people with big hands! however after about a month of using the mouse, it stoped working after it was dropped once... i decided to open it up to see if i could fix the issue myself and sure enough the issue was the weight on the inside had come loose and was disrupting the laser sensor, once it was removed , the mouse worked once again. also very pleased with the braided cable protector that it came with. over all i think this mouse is very under rated as far as the "ergo gaming mouse genres" that are on market today, especially for the dollar. also using this mouse fixed my tennis elbow pain! after about 6 months of using it i noticed i wsnt geting that pain in my wrist anymore. all in all i give this mouse a solid 8.6/10.
this is good to know, i ordered this one because I cannot use a normal mouse due to some damage to my hand and i also have a very curious cat. She doesn't throw things off on purpose but she will jump on my desk and knock things over, which is how she damaged my current vertical mouse
very helpful! answered many of my questions.
Would love to see your full review on this
Been using vertical mice for 10+ years now, resting/supporting the arm up to the elbow does work best... for me at least. :-)
what do you use to rest/support arm up to elbow if i may ask?
Vertical mouse for 10+ fucking years? Jesus Christ man
what mouse do you use? any recommendations?
They should have cut the ~12 LEDs and put the money into a real & quality analog stick & driver that lets you assign the axis in games. It's a productivity mouse pretending to be a gaming product.
And not even a good productivity mouse, because you can't use it unless you have administrator privileges on the computer! Like, if you're on a workstation at the office, you simply can't use it. It's absurd.
Great review especially at the end with your thoughts on surface and moving the pain problem somewhere else. I was a bit scared seeing you hardly move the mouse while playing. That's some crazy high sensitivity XD Good to know also that you can go lower on the DPI, this is required for some great, modern games that persist with anorectic settings (slider for sensitivity...) and DPI set to 500 for that authentic 1990s feel. I don't know why they keep doing it, even (or maybe especially) the big studios and the big game engines, it's not only crap, it's also dumb and bad UX...
Love the shadow leviathan from subnautica bz backround
This is very interesting - thank you for the review
Can the thumb stick be used to control the mouse?
If so im interested.
Great video, will be buying one 👌👌❤️
Exactly a year later, what are the chances? My birthday is tomorrow and I'm looking into things to get for myself, let's see if a vertical mouse is worth it cause my wrists need it.
My right arm has a bit of a twist to it. I don't know if its always been that way or if it's some defect, but as a gamer and video editor, it makes using regular mice very awkward and uncomfortable, and I really want to avoid getting carpal tunnel later in life. I received this particular mouse today, and so far it's way more comfortable for me to use, as it fits more naturally in my dominant hand. It'll take some getting used to, but so far the comfort is definitely worth it.
I literally have been using this mouse for like 5 years and honestly i love it so much, i use the thumbstick as fast "flick" buttons like grenades if i need them really fast but dont want to let go of WASD.
How many programmable keys can you get out of the joystick?
nvm found out it's 4
@@TheXboxSux you could do the analog press as well, so 5 but pressing feels weird
hey, do you know of anyway to open this mouse up? My scroll wheel has been acting up and I was looking at either getting a different mouse or fixing this one, but there is no screw or anything to open it up.
@@Grulz 5 extra buttons is ALOT, impressive, how easy us it to use the joystick?
I wonder why we can't get good products like these. I got the Logi MX Vertical and it's very basic and feels cheap and yet very expensive. I wish I can get something with this functionality but from Razer or something
i am curious would you be able to fake the input of the joystick to make it look around and perhaps give you aim assist? the only problem is that you would also need to fake the input of the keyboard
does the joystick allow diagonal movements?
Hi, can you use the joystick for scrolling instead of the scroll wheel ? If yes how, it looks like the software does not have the option to program this.
Hello i live with hemiplegia a total palsy of my left hand. I've been playing with a xbox ans playstation controler for 25+ years. do you think it could be a good option?.
Can I use the joystick for normal computer stuff outside gaming as well?
Awesome video 👍
Does the scroll whell fuction as a middle mouse button? Can it be clucked?
How can I set up the joystick as a second look setting?
Can u movement 360 with this stick ?or up down let right?
Your battery light is actually your DPI setting. It's a wired mouse. No batteries. But thanks for the review. Definitely thinking of getting one.
Wonder if it works on an Xbox hori Tac pro ?
its great video! but i cant install the driver what should i do??
how heavy is it? I read that it has a weight inside so I mean how should I remove that weight? I usually prefer lighter mice.
Can the analog be used on MMO movement?
Ciao vorrei sapere se l analogico serve per far muovere il personaggio grazie
does anyone know if this could be used on valorant for someone who struggles using WASD?
Is it normal there are 2 different Versions out there? One with 128kb on board memory and one without that Feature? On the Product Site there are only a few Informations and nothing about an on board storage...?
That would be for saving various profiles to it so when you use it on another computer it remembers your profiles.
Just ordered this after surgery on my left wrist just hoping its good
did you get the 5000fps it talks about
I used to own one. Never really appealed to me because I mainly do Minecraft PVP, and jitterclicking or butterfly clicking is impossible on those.
I recently wondered if a mouse+thumbstick was a thing, which brought me here. Personally, I’m not a fan of the thumbstick placement, because it looks like you don’t have any real grip on the mouse with your thumb in that position.
I’d like to see a design that’s essentially just a console controller cut in half and one of the halves given a mouse base. The front triggers would act as the typical mouse buttons, and then there’d be the usual controller thumbstick with either four directional buttons or a D-pad. Hell, maybe they could make the two top components modular, so you can swap each of them out to have whatever - even two thumbsticks!
Anyone have a idea how this good this would work for World of Warcraft?
One of the reviews on Amazon for this said that the thumbstick doesn't register diagonals, only W/S or A/D. If so, are there any vertical mice like this with full WASD, or no?
No
im only interested in a mouse with a d-pad or thumb stick, how hard could it be to make one?
Id recommend looking into getting a gamepad, razer makes a couple with a d pad
This was shown on Matrix Resurections i got it time for a update to help with my wrists.
Just got this cause my wrist was starting to hurt. THis mouse is okay. Wish more companies start making vertical gaming mice.
The joystick gives four ways but I'm a stroke man on my left so I want to play pubg with that joystick but it's too difficult to do with 4 ways. then I tried to turn it into a 8 way servo joystick but couldn't.
Can anyone tell how to make it 8 way joystick to play pubg?
Or what is the meaning of putting four way joystickon a mouse?
so does anyone with wrist injury has tries this out? i want to get one but still not sure
If you want a gaming mouse with analog thumbstick to replace WASD, get the Azeron Cyro. Its made for one hand gaming
okay I'm buying this one
what if we dont have a cd/dvd writer - how to install the software then ??
Download it off their website
Is the full review (after a few weeks of usage) up?
There wasn’t enough interest initially so I shelved it. I’ll get it back out though and work on a review
Can the joystick buttons be changed to others other than W,A,S,D?
Yes to wtvr keys u want
"Battery life indicator" ... but... it has a cord ... ?
So will that thumb stick work in a computer aided drafting program? Meaning programming hotkeys that I use for production. Or is that not what that thumb stick used for?
The stick is just 5 buttons that are either bound to a single key per direction or press in, or a recorded macro or shortcut.
It does not support diagonal inputs so it sucks for gaming, since it won't let you walk diagonally. So no pressing w+a at the same time when moving the stick top left, diagonal input is just 'no input'. So you'll have short breaks in movement. It's also not analog output, so either it's pressed or nen pressed even thoug the stick has no pressure point for the directions.
No youtube review mentioned that.
@@adriankoch964 I appreciate your response.
@@adriankoch964wow that sucks, but still not bad for 4 extra buttons on 1 joystick.... actually for some games you don't want to Accidentally press two keys so having it strictly be 1 key at a time can be good
Could you program what you want the 4 buttons can be, like make up, down, left right be shift, alt, ctrl , space?
Good day. My left arm is paralyzed and this mouse is a godsend for me. Before buying, I wanted to ask you. Can the joystick on the mouse press up and right at the same time? (Does the cursor have 4 directions or 8 directions?) Thank you.
The joystick can move in all directions but the arrows indicate the 4 main ones. I’m assuming it can do what you want it to but it only clicks in at the center point.
Do you live in the US?
@@1UpNerdcore No, I live in Russia. Thanks for the answer. Anyway, this mouse is the best solution for me.
Currently using a gaming mouse on xbox series x, will this work on my xbox?
I’m assuming it would
can you set the joystick to be used for cursor movement, instead of WASD?
I also want to know this. I have CTS and would prefer that.
@@ParappatheRapper can't. the joystick isn't even a real analog input. it only registers up down left or right. it can't detect how far you're pushing it, or when you push it in-between up and right, for example. so you can't use it for diagonal movement in games even, so it's quite useless for the intended use case. it's basically just arrow keys on a joystick, except you can only use 1 key at a time.
You can assign what each of the four directions do though. I've just turned them into secondary arrow keys for typing.
i think its ok though, for the price. looks good, the grip is nice, i just pair it with a wrist wrest and a semi-high dpi and my wrist rarely hurts.
or just get a good trackball mouse, that might be better.
@@joshuadelrosario8026 Its a basic WASD joystick then, fair enough. :-)
@@demos113 No, it's not. With WASD buttons, you can hold down say W and D at the same time to perform diagonal movement. With the joystick on the mouse, it's not possible because it can only output one direction at the time. You can't do diagonal movements with it, making it useless for games.
@@demos113 yeah thats enough for me. I want the sight movment with the mouse
Thanks for this review. It allowed me to get a really good look at it. It's such a shame. The WASD input dpad/joystick is in exactly the wrong spot, for 2 reasons. It should have been down below, 1st, because that's where the thumb naturally rests, and trying to use the joystick way up high is REALLY BAD ergonomics, and 2nd, because if your thumb is up on top, there's no way to lift the mouse and move it. You can't grip the mouse and lift it while using the WASD joystick on top. If it was below, in the natural spot, it would have been an absolutely perfect way to free up the left hand for other inputs besides movement. As it is, it is basically useless, from my perspective at least.
i was thinking that as well. pushing the whole mouse to the right will pretty much always change pressure/direction on the thumbstick, since it's the primary point of contact for movement in that direction. the forward back buttons also appear too low to me. having to reach down with the thumb to hit those doesn't seem like it would be comfortable or fast.
You get no precise thumb movement if it's down on the side. Compare urself how much more your thumb can move on top of the hand compared to inside the hand. This is a commercial product so don't assume they haven't prototyped the alternatives and didn't go with this design for a reason
I can recommend the Logitech MX Vertical. It beats any other vertical mouse I tried by miles, is very rugged, the battery life is excellent and it charges quickly. It's probably more expensive but very much worth it. Cured my wrist pain in a matter of a week, no kidding.
Hey could I ask some gamery questions about it? How's the input delay + does the sensor bug out from instant mouse flicks?
@@kakinator2365 I wanted to get the MX Vertical but the polling rate is only 125. If you have a 144hz+ monitor it will make things choppy.
@@CombatVault
Yeah luckily I stayed away and bought a Trust GTX 144. It's vertical and has a polling rate of 1000hz. Only actual vertical gaming mouse I've seen, the rest have terrible sensors.
it looks interesting
Just watched the Matrix 4 movie and found out this cool mouse, but Keanu Reeves was using this mouse in the weird opposite position (the cord toward himself). I don't know if it's a designed scence or what.
i didn't know this mouse was featured in the matrix 4. interesting.
can modify the analog stick to different buttons in the game, according to what direction you flick the analog stick?
I think that would be dependent upon the game and the settings they allow you to change but it could be possible
Did you try it? I want to use it for dota 2
Me: mom can I have a new mouse
Mom: what!I your current mouse is perfect!?

I need to be able to use the joystick to move the cursor.
Do you have any ideas?

i had a mouse do that annoying lol
It's a very nice mouse if you're eight years old. If your hand is anything bigger than a child's hand you will HATE this mouse. It is far to small for the average adult hand, even my wife can't tolerate it. Use it for more than a few minutes and you're looking at mad hand cramps.

You are not able to give an honest or remotely honest review on your 1-2 hours of using a totally new way of using a mouse. I just started with the ergonomic Vertically designed mouse....and 10 hours later I can say I am beginning to think I will be able to adapt and patient enough to allow my brain to reprogram it's subconscious pressure application on my entire arm and hand movements and muscle activations. It is like driving only a manual for your entire life and near having tried to drive an automatic and it takes many hours or days even to adapt to the change.
Don't make stuff up. We have no clue what makes carpel Tunnel with the exception of a prevalence of it in people that use vibrating power tools.

Holy mic drop. Get some!
@@1UpNerdcore "bachelor of science in nutrition" ... How will that help you with diagnosed and taking care of a patient with carpal tunnel?
If you were a true certified medical professional, you would not be divulging false information like that.
See what's funny (and sad) is that people will believe you sometimes (just look at the comments) and that is what is sad.
To all of those who are reading this, if someone proclaims themselves to have "medical experience", it may be true but medical experience is a massively vague term. This person may have experience but not in this field which is the case here.
To conclude, the person in this video is not qualified about carpal.tunnel and is sending you misinformation about the subject.
For those of you who do not know any better, I'd advise you not to listen to this nonsense. Have a good day.
P.S: When I wrote the initial comment, there were A LOT of comments like mine basically showing what this guy was doing. He kept stating he had a load of degrees that had nothing to do with treating or diagnosing carpal tunnel. However, since then he seemed to have deleted everything as there were too many. So I'm sure he will end up deleting this too as it show that he is a fraud. Hope some of you don't become misinformed before he does delete it.
