A jon kaase replica BOSS 429 punched out to 547 cubes all aluminium with a 10-71 blower is hands down the most BEAUTIFULL jaw dropping motor combo a guy could have under A FORD hood, personally I would have done this type of build in a 1966 or 67, fairlane!! Looks great

Definitely a sweet build! But that music was terrible! You should've just done an overlay of engine sound. And even worse than the music was the pass it made at the end! As soon as I saw the lame ass burnout he did I knew it was all downhill from there! Great job on the build but I'm sure we'd all love to see a proper burnout and a full pass at 100%!

The SCJ is my favorite muscle car of all time. My dad had one of these when I was a kid but he traded it for a Dodge Power wagon that was equally badass but wish we still had the car.......

The tires and angle that sits at makes it look quite different from my grandfather's 1970 torino 429 cobra jet. His is stock and supposedly had the engine rebuilt by a family member, out of state, and should be headed back soon. He stopped driving it when leaded fuel went away in California and didn't bother to just have the heads done to run unleaded. It is a shame, as he bought it new. Maybe one day it will be a driver again. He has a second one, but it was torn down and an unfinished project someone else had before him.

110% BADASS! Too bad it crapped out on the track.
Beautiful car, BUT....either the owner doesn't understand the concept of how to run a car down a drag strip, or he's too scared to keep the pedal down.

@@davidgagliardo3258 ,,I've watched him street drive it in Duquoin at the street machine nationals, Jamie Pipher friend of mine from Canada owns it and built it,,pulled off an amazing burnout right in front of the dps headquarters on a Friday night about 10 pm, yep he got busted and received a ticket,,worth every penny he said.

I was waiting to see how it performed, but was let down.
Awesome looking car an engine, the 429 shotgun engine was VERY breakage prone though. Had a friend that had one, GREAT show car engine, NOT so good for daily driver. $$$ repairs.

This vehicle is fucking GORGEOUS!. Tell me though, how do you get a 547 Ford motor? a 460 overbored? I don't know.
most likely this is not a Stock 429/460 block... After marker A460? But with the Boss heads ( if they are real factory heads) he might have a boss block? Other wise i feel the block and heads are aftermarket.
anyway to get 545-547 cui Ford... .030" over bore with a 4.5" stroke crank.
It’s a John Kaase engine. They basically build their own version of the BOSS 429 in different variations.
Ford SVO used to sell a 705cui short block but that was years ago. It took 460 heads but a diff crank rods etc and wasn't cheap.
Carat Cranker You can increase the cubic inch displacement of the Ford 460 engine by installing a stroker crankshaft and the corresponding overbore.

Fords can be bored and stroked~ a small block Windsor can go to 460 cid and a big block can go to 815 cid hope this helps.

Stock block 385 series can go to 557 CID. Over 500 CID is easy.

I owned a 1970 Cobra Torino J-code "Drag Pack" 429SCJ from 1975-1985. Incredibly quick! The idea of the owner of this particular #'s matching Cobra(ScottieDTV) to carve it up and make a pro street out of it doesn't make any sense at all. I know owners can do whatever they feel but Damn. Me, find a solid Torino body with or without small v-8 and build a Cobra tribute pro street. Beautiful build but from the 2 or 3 vids I've seen, this now fake Cobra is more show than go.

ScottieDTV, there was no mention this car was beyond repair, but here it is.Even Scottie was surprised you'd cut up a Cobra.And there were app 8,000+ Cobras built in the yr 1970. By 1982, they were pretty rare. Also, I complimented you. I would've found a donor body though. Currently I own a 69 fastback Cobra 4spd., 2009 GT500, 69 Roadrunner and 2013 Challenger R/T Classic.
