Saw the VH III tour at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC) in Saratoga Springs, NY. Agree 1000%, Ed played Mean Street so clean and flawlessly you would have thought they had the CD playing. Mean Street is my favorite VH song, and I was hoping they would play it. I was blown away. Gary Cherone gets overlooked, but the cool thing was he didn't have an ego (obviously) about Dave vs. Sammy era. It was like a greatest hits concert from both eras. ;o)
@@tarmy3619 I check comments on all videos not just the latest so feel free to comment anywhere! The SRV guit is an old Japanese Strat from '88 that I reliced myself. Used to have a Floyd Rose on it! I installed some Texas Special Pickups and it sounds very cool, those pickups are so well balanced.
@@tarmy3619 Thanks buddy. I may do a tour of my guitars for all the enthusiasts out there. The EVH I also spray painted and chose pickups so both instruments are very personal to me.
HAHA, I'm really not sure that's worth getting note for note! It sounds to me like tapping with two fingers in the right hand and one finger in the left hand very random notes. Like the Judgement Day pre-solo but all over the place if that makes sense.

Why not play it like how Eddie taught it in the Guitar World October 1993 issue? It is easier the original way Eddie plays it.
