Its hard going for Zander . I popped out for a few hours on one of my favourite Zander swims with small roach no Zander but two small pike. First time I used Circle hooks . Good luck this season 👍🏻 and great video keep them coming 👍🏻 👏
RE lighting - Try lighting from higher with the light source at the side, not at 90° - maybe try 45° - should get rid of the shadows. Some lovely scenic shots.
I thought that I was getting plagued with eel's on small roach deadbaits while after Zander as the bait was all in bits but found out they were those bloody mitten crabs 🦀🙈
@@Fishing4Pleasure I am coming to the fens on June the 15th for the start of the season and am thinking of going to the ramsey 40ft drain and the old river nene ,any suggestions of where I could bivvy up ? ,somewhere with accessible banks that sort of thing ,are you on face book as I would like to gather some local knowledge . Regards john
@@johnstockburn6396 Accessible banks are a rarity and so are in high demand especially the 40ft. Old river Nene is vert tight bank wise and fishes better in the winter when the Roach shoal up. The fens are finished for zander.....its over.
The West Midlands are definitely the no1 area
@@Fishing4Pleasure def.....I'd give my left arm to live near the severn!!!!
2004 I had 54 zander from middle level in 4 months.up to 15lb.....last year,not one run.
A lot of guys putting a lot of hours on there for very little reward plus baits getting hammered by Mitten crabs, very sad
My partner had 29 zander this last season in Ely to 9lb 8oz. Definitely not over for the area. All the zander are in the boatyards 😂
