To ppl struggling with this boss, he is weak to holy based skills, dont use blashemous or black knife, he is extremely fast and will dodge ur skills, insted use the sacred relic sword (you get it by defeating the elden beast), its AoE and range are insane as well as its dmg. Second equip the shabriris woe talisman. As soon as you enter the arena, summon ur mimic tear and remove the shabiriris talisman, this will make ur mimic tear get the aggro and you can just spam the sword skill at a safe distance, be carefull with the flames and if he aggros you just run till it goes back to the mimic tear. Dont forget to upgrade the sword, i have it +9 with 32 faith and it was easy mode after being slaughtered over over again xD
I love the shabriri’s woe trick but I find he’s way too fast to swap them, compared to Malenia who walks up slowly making it easy. Thanks for the tips though! I found scarlet rot worked really well here
@@willireland2293 when you hit him you Will get the agro, you still need to learn who to Dodge the combos, after that just run and he Will get back to the mimic. unfortunately the mimic nowadays is as dumb as a brick and Will not agro the boss as it should, so you Will need to get some luck :(. Try the Scarlett rot tip displayed on the vídeo if you cant do it this way. My problem was with consistent dmg , and the sacred sword proved to be wonders but i still needed to Dodge the combos to drop the aggro.
For anyone trying to cheese this is what I did. 1: go right up the very end of the little bull horn 2: do an attack animation so that you fall 3: open up the quit menu and keep moving forward 4: leave the quit menu and keep moving forward when you get in the ground 5: walk to the other end of arena (he should be there in a cave) 6: stay away and use sacred relic sword (stay away because idk if getting too close triggers him into being a boss) 7: he should die and you get to go past him I did this on PS4 but I only tested this once.

At that rate, you never apply rot.

Seems to me that the DLC is REALLY trying to encourage players to try out different things than simply stick to one strategy. Thankfully other games have also got me to that mindset somewhat.
Ohhhh yeah for some of these bosses I had to try out new tricks. If they can bleed or scarlet rot it’s usually a good time hahaha. What’s the last boss you fought?
@@JasonDunna Didn't even get far, as the Lion Dancer already gave me that impression. And outside of bosses, certain attackers had me thinking I should try mixing in some range or aoe just to clear out the map more easily.
@@AegisKHAOS just wait until you get weapons you can throw with R2! Messmer’s spear is awesome on horseback for that reason. I only have one boss left and oh man this DLC is amazing. Make sure you do Igon’s quest line I think it was the most epic part of the DLC for me

Not if you determined enough, my Taker's Flames spam build took me all the way to Journey 5 and Elden Ring 2 masked as an DLC ain't gonna change that. Had this bastard down to 1 inch of hp on my best try so far.
I tried doing the wall trick but i always find my self out the spot out of panic. The only cheese i did was shooting the hell out of him with the spear lighting bolt with a shield. I say a shield is practically a good way to avoid combos if you're the type that have bac timing of dogingi

I one tried him after using the sacred relic and I was stuck on em for 3 hours on ng 3 it was stupid but thanks for the advice lmao

I just spammed sacred relic sword's sword art and just chugged 6 healing flasks whenever it did the aoe fire attack. Worked pretty well

I just used the Dragonwound Slash weapon skill of the Dragon Hunter Great Katana whenever there was an opening, it does a lot of damage to him.

been trying the Lightning Bolt but clearly doesn’t get enough accuracy to being consistent for either me or my mimic, thanks for the scarlet rot tip
Yeah some of these bosses are so fast that it’s hard to use certain attacks. Thankfully rot breath / eczyke’s decay and rot grease go hard here
I was doing 5k damage a hit with sacred relic sword build, I hit him 5 times with the AOW and he died
Okay I need to give that a shot
If you optimize the build entirely around the AOW, it will be really effective
