    Very useful information, thanks for that. I think this video is the one that will get me to pull the trigger on this device. I’ve got a couple Sampletraks, Pioneer SP-16, SP-202, but I think the CR will be inspiring to work with, and will work well in conjunction with the other machines.

    ive been using circuits for over a year now and this was still kind of helpful. the one thing i find frustrating is trying to set a step for the parameter to go back to "default" though. I cant figure out a way to exactly lock a step back to default, because "clearing" it does just that, clears it, instead of going to neutral. the knobs are SOOO sensitive and only having the lights under them isnt really a reliable way to "record" it to neutral, so its kind of a pain in the ass.

      Hard agree. One simple thing that I would love if Novation would add would be an option to have the parameter values displayed when you're adjusting them while the sequencer isn't running.

    Just got mine few days ago mostly figured it out but trying to figure out the patterns like having a one shot on first track of patterns one to the same sample in reverse in pattern two with out both patterns changing to reverse..or using other sounds with out changing the other sounds in the other patterns?

    • @CoolDougLove
      @CoolDougLove  11 месяцев назад +2

      As far as I can tell, there's not a way to reverse a sample in the sequencer. So the workaround would be to resample your reversed sample and use sample lock.
      As for not changing your sounds when you're using parameter locks, you just need to remember to include a step where you change the parameter back to the original value. So if you move the start point on one step then you need to move it back on the next one. Otherwise the sequencer will just use the one that's in the pattern.
      Personally, if I'm going to be parameter locking something like the start point then I'll do it for every step just to avoid any confusion.

    I have A Circuit Tracks and it works the same, I find it so frustrating that when setting the parameter locks up you have to additionally set up the the next step as well. From what I have seen the Elektron sequencer and parameter locking are much more straightforward. Nice vid, cheers.

      Thanks! And yeah, it's a lot more straightforward on the Elektron boxes. That said, one thing I like better about the Circuits is the way you preview notes by just tapping them on the velocity page. On the Digitakt and Digitone you hold the step and press yes. So it's a little more awkward to try things out and it's easier to accidently delete your note.

    Is it possible to apply reverse on a separate step

    • @CoolDougLove
      @CoolDougLove  Год назад +1

      I don't think so. I think you've just got to resample the thing reversed and then use sample flip to change that step to trigger the reversed sample.

    sync ober mdi right? tight?

    • @CoolDougLove
      @CoolDougLove  Год назад

      I really can't speak to how tight the sync is. I don't normally run sequencers together.
